oh where to begin, we arrived at Diwali without any expectations but the standard of those rose by every minute, the wonderful scent of spices and grilled food is still making me hungry. It is by far the best South Asian food we had, or on par with the best. It is quite a nice fusion of North Indian, Nepalese and traditional Indian as we know it. The best points about this place are: - service - quality of food - menu choices - background music - good prices I don't really know what else to say but overall it was a great experience in every way. Parking is available and it is just behind past the Greyhound pub in the alleyway.

Best place in town to eat Indian food. I went there with low expectations, considering the food I ate at various "popular" Indian restaurants here in the UK. But the food there totally blew me off. I ordered Kadhai Paneer accompanied by Bhindi Masala and Dal Makhani as sides. It was not too spicy and not too bland. Just perfect. The Lachha Parantha that I ordered was softer than a mattress. Overall, it was a symphony in my mouth. I would recommend everyone who wants to taste Indian food to go there.

The place is in the town center and really has a calm ambience . A slow and mind soothing music. Majestic feeling to relax and enjoy a meal. I loved the place and Food is really great , loved veg options. I frequently visit this restaurant to have some self treats & to have some personal time . I really enjoyed their food.The staff is very good, Lot of good indian food options , Paneer butter masala and Aloo Ghobhi is yummi. For those who have sweet tooth just try the Matkaa Kulfi. A mango lassi is also a good start option.

Food and service was great. Really tasty curries! We haven’t had really good indian food in a long time. We’re definitely coming back.

One of the best Nepali/Indian restaurant in Swindon. It's hard to find a restaurant serving such authentic flavours. It was my first time having a Chicken Chettinad and it is my new favourite. Have been back already and will be going back again.

My family regularly orders from this restaurant - although we have our favorite dishes, we've never had anything that wasn't delicious in the more than the probably 50+ times we've eaten from here. Really good portion sizes, we often have enough left over for lunch the next day. It often tastes even better reheated. Would definitely recommend. Particularly the Chettinad, my personal favorite

We used to use Diwali as our local Indian for take away when we lived in Swindon. I can not express how incredible the food is. It is delicious, was always delivered early and was always hot. We left Swindon over a year ago and while I don't miss the city, I do genuinely miss this restaurant.

Honesty amazing food. You have to go here!! But be prepared that you might have to wait 1hr for food.

The food is so good!!! We have dined in the restaurant and had takeaways on several occasions. We have never had a bad meal, on the contrary, the food is always amazing! The staff are really lovely too. Can’t recommend enough!

As Punjabi’s we are very reluctant to order from Indian restaurants as they never meet our expectations. This place however blew us away. It was a recommendation from my son who tried it in the summer. One of the best meals I’ve had in such a long time that I didn’t cook myself. My husband who is a really fussy eater also really enjoyed it. Flavour texture, delivery, all over experience 11/10. The last time I had a meal this good was also from a Nepalese restaurant in London, over 30 years ago. Definitely coming back here for more. Keep doing what you’re doing!!

One of the best places in Swindon to get a decent Indian meal. Budget friendly too. Excellent staff and excellent service. This is a family run business so they take pride in catering to Individual needs. A must try.

Ordered some Indian and Nepali food. I am so glad that I have finally found an authentic restaurant in Swindon. This is the best Indian restaurant in Swindon. They make food so well. They also give complimentary chutneys and papads. I will choose this restaurant in place of any of them in Swindon.

This restaurant is serving delicious food and reflecting emotional values. The other day, I ordered online my dinner on Diwali night and they sent me additional Jalebi's as DIWALI FESTIVAL gift. That small gesture makes me feel like I am at home.

All around excellent but I have marked them down for their lack of disabled access & toilets. In this day & age they should be provided esp as they have plenty of room to provide one

Wonderful hospitality was received by all staff, particularly Glaura the Waitress, who is adorable. We had a very warm welcome and felt well looked after by caring staff within a family business. The chef catered for my daughter and myself who are vegan. He kindly took the time to accommodate to our needs in every way and this was very much appreciated, making Diwali a favourite place for us to eat. This was our second visit, (our first was a take away service) and both times the food was amazing. Thank you to all the staff for a lovely experience. We will be back!

Food here was simply the most authentic Indian food you would ever get in Swindon. Papadom had the best dips with it. Naan was authentic Indian; thin and sliced into triangular pieces instead of the thick circular bread served across other Indian restaurants. Paneer jalfrezi had just the right amount of heat and spice from an Indian palate perspective. Even the okra masala turned out to be great which hardly any restaurant gets right. Potato Naan turned out to be quite good, similar to aloo paratha.

Really good takeaway, portion size were fantastic, really good food cooked with perfect level of spices not just too spicy too like most restaurants. Felt like home food so thank you for living up to my expectations. Definitely going to tell my mates about this Gem of a place for home cooked type indian food.
