A very interesting Indian restaurant! Absolutely very popular since we arrived a little bit early and waited for a while; after they opened, within half an hour they already had a lot of people coming for lunch. City centre location - cannot find a place that is more convenient and central. Very spacious with beautiful decor. Friendly and fab staff. The amount of foods are satisfying as well! We had different types of meat, some vegan foods and desserts. Good selection with good price. Their foods are all very tasty. It is definitely a good place for friends and family to come and spend some time or treat themselves.

The food was good, however you pay premium prices for Leeds city centre. The portions are very small and the prices heavy on the pocket. We ordered pav bhaji, samosa chaat, pani puri and 2 butter chickens with naan. Between 6 of us we ate very less between us. The total bill was a whopping £67. The customer service was absolutely awful . The waiter who took our order was very rude. His English wasn't fluent. We asked for a jug of water which never turned up. The other staff also had issues with English. Generally the staff need better training on customer service skills. Yes the food was good however this was a one off wouldn't go again.

Visited with a large group so there was a long wait for food but that was expected. The food was fantastic and well presented, my only comments are that it was difficult to eat without a plate to pour it on, and the lemonade tastes awful, really badly mixed. I will be visiting again to try more dishes though

If you're after some amazing tasty food, amazing portions and at a decent price, you've found the right place. The staff so so helpful, suggesting good foods, what would be good based on what you could order, very helpful, better than most staff who would just take your order and disappear. Portions are deceptively filling, the spice level is good, spicy but not over powering. If you want something a bit different to what you're used to in every other Indian restaurant, then I highly advise a visit.

First time visiting. Beautiful building and decor . Food was to die for. Lots of delicious vegan and vegetarian options unlike usual generic offerings. Group tried quite a few cocktails which were amazing. Waiter did a great job. Very friendly and attentive. Met manager at end of meal who was also very friendly and welcoming. All in all a great experience. Will definitely be back !

Prices are reasonable, all of their meat is halal. Staff are friendly and nice. I had the pani puri but did not like it, however the sweet lassi was thick and lovely, chicken lollipop was juicy and succulent aswell. Pav bhaji was average. I’ll be back to try their dosas and biryani.

Stunning Authentic Indian Food! We stumbled across this place and it was a very happy find! The extensive menu is a hybrid of street food and classic dishes. My wife is from India and she was very surprised how authentic the food was and I know we will be visiting again and again. Good selection of drinks with of course Kingfisher! Whether it's for snacks with drinks or a main meal there is something for everyone. The staff are very friendly and professional. The atmosphere is spot on. Access for disabled could be improved as lots of stairs in and to the toilets. Highly recommended a must for any trip to Leeds!

Amazinggggg food !!! Great service… friendly lovely staff! Went there for bday meal and the must have (which I highly reccomend) is the chillie squid!!!! Abs delish! Although most foods can be a take out including this which I had brought to me by a friend the other day again I Do reccomend eating fresh there whilst it’s hot. Went for the lamb shank and omg it was huge!!!! Portion size was big! Havin had a friend who been there before even she was amazed at the size!!! Love love love the goat keema (vada pao) and the butter chicken!! Nice ranges of drinks and mock tails as well as dessert! Yumm!!! Do go during the day / evening and not too late as they shut at 11 and last orders are by 9/10 so it’s a deffo evenin affair. If they were open longer that would Be amazing and they would see more people come in! Although I appreciate they are long enough day for them too Thanks for amazing time tiffin room!!!

Awesome taste, it takes me back to my Indian days.....!!! Service is outstanding....!!! Indoor as well as outdoor seating is available. You will get almost all the indian dishes including drinks. They have a washroom as well which are very clean. Note: They will also consider if you have any allergies or not.

We are Indians & therefore we know how actual indian food taste is. Indian tiffin room is one of the best Indian restaurants we have been to in the UK. The menu is extensive & they do have a good range of vegetarian options. Everything is really tasty. Their service is really prompt & the staff is really lovely. Will go back again !!

What a lovely restaurant! Very authentic Indian taste, Indian ambience with steel cutlery and glasses. Quantity of butter chicken was somewhat less for 2 people. But taste was awesome. Chicken tikka kebab was muahh!❤️ chicken lollypop size was too small but again the taste compensated it. South Indian dishes were also nice. Attentive staff and owner. Overall excellent experience in this restaurant in Central leeds.

The dining experience fell short of our expectations; there is considerable room for improvement in the quality of the food. Additionally, we were taken aback by the separate charge for hot water. Despite these issues, spending quality time with family is always a positive aspect. ✌️

We drove 35mins and the food was average at best. It lacked seasoning and I think the recommendations we were given were not right. The waitress suggested us dishes, very conveniently the most expensive items on the menu and when asked why, she said she was “just doing her job”. This was disappointing as we wanted to eat what was good, not just expensive. The food came quickly, portions were good size and the cauliflower Manchurian and the sev starter were delicious. Chilli chicken was over cooked, masala potato fries had no masala, mint paratha didn’t taste of mint and the dhaba chicken was a deconstructed butter chicken- my advice, get the butter chicken instead. The lamb and chicken were cooked beautifully, but they lacked flavour. The cholay bhatoore and the Gobi Manchurian were the highlights. Overall, overpriced for what we got, we were disappointed and probably won’t come back again.

The food taste reminded me of real Indian food. It was like I am in India only. Ordered multiple dishes Dosa, Pav Bhaji, Hakka Noodles, Veg Biryani, Tea. All these items are top in taste. A must visit for everyone who wants to taste Indian food.

Found this place after having a major dosa craving. Good South Indian food options, which is quite rare in the UK. We had the grazing platter starter to share, which had authentic Mumbai-style street food and was absolutely delicious. I had a Mysore masala dosa and my husband had the chilli cheese dosa. The masala dosa was fantastic & definitely helped my dosa/ home food craving! We also tried the Kerala fish curry main with a bhatura. The food was great and prices were reasonable. Will definitely go back to try a few of the other options.

Would not recommend this place, this place does not have a variety of curry options if you’re looking to eat a proper curry. This is not authentic Indian. The pancake and curry that we got recommended was okay, however the pancake was like plastic. The chilli chicken was nice. Also I bought my own drink in as I’m allergic to certain ingredients so wanted a nice experience, however the waitress when she saw this, she snatched the drink off the table and ran off without even asking if it was okay to take the drink away, she made it out like I had killed someone by bringing my own drink in 💀 Her behavior was appalling. There’s a certain way of doing things. Thank you next.

Love the food here @ Indian Tiffin Room at Leeds, got to write them a 5/5 perfect review, so that people coming in at Leeds would discover this brilliant Indian restaurant just like how I did by random odds, recognizing the importance fact, we ordered a full table of dishes, finger licking delicious kind of great food to offer us. Basically can't ask for anything more than this, Wonderful Indian restaurant !!!!!

Fantastic place. Delicious food excellent service from lovely staff. 11 of us including 3 small children we only waited 5 minutes for a table in what was a busy restaurant. They were very accommodating and happy to help with our choices. We even got a small cake with a candle for free for one of our party. Fabulous place and I highly recommend visiting it.

Amazing place and Great ambience with Lord Ganesha welcoming you; Located in a nice prime area, so it's super busy, ensure to pre-book to avoid the wait.. Management is really good so they might let you sneak in.. Food review: Indian cuisine.. Started with Chilli Paneer which was delectable (paneer can be softer but it was tasty) Chicken lollipop was delicious and very few places serve this in the UK so thank you for keeping this in the menu (pls try to arrange the schezwan instead of hot garlic sauce- Indians can go for the spicy version 😬) Channa Bature - At its best, two mid sized baturas with a good quantity of channa was Yum.. Sadly dessert Shahi tukda wasn't available. Did see nicely decorated mock/cocktails too but just went for the beer, Thanks for keeping Mallyas Kingfisher, it was refreshing. Overall a must try place and I surely will be visiting again to try the rest of the dishes!!!

We had ordered food for around 9 people which included a lot of vegetarian and non vegetarian starters and main course. All the food ordered was tasty and everyone enjoyed it. We visited this place twice. Anyone around in Leeds should definitely visit and try food from this restaurant.

Never disappoints with their authentic flavours, great service and tasteful, contemporary decor. It's also reasonable priced for the quality of their food and the servings are adequate. I visited all their outlets at Leeds, Manchester city centre and Cheadle, neither of them left any room for complaints. Highly recommended!

The lamb was honestly divine, all the staff including the male manager were absolutely lovely and warm towards us. The staff frequently check up to see if everything is going well they put a lot of care into what they do, but you don't need to ask me twice it was BEAUTIFUL. The spice is gradual and doesn't burn the mouth out they really know what they are doing. I will always come back with my family I do not like any Indian in Leeds but this place.

Authentic Indian, Madurai Dosa and Pani puri is the best, been to the one in Manchester and quality/taste is consistent.

  • 4/5 Ms M. 6 months ago on Google
Food was lovely though they are abit tight with the dosa filling. The puri platter was delicious & the shezwan rice. Pav bhaji comes with one nan only 😐Waiter advised the chicken was halal. Downside- Have to pay to park, £6 for 2 hrs although they say they’ll discount 25% to park in Albion car park, they made up some excuse so we didn’t get that. Also Wish they’d let customers know about the 10% service charge that they add on the total bill, was abit surprised. Food was good, but considering we paid a lot for parking and service I don’t think I’ll go often which is a shame as I did enjoy the food.

Exceptional food and service. Lovely restaurant with fabulous authentic Indian cuisine. The service was wonderful and the staff will provide recommendations and ensure you are enjoying your meal. We shared the Tanjore chicken and Kal Dosa and the Kerala fish curry with Jeera Pulav rice. I can recommend both dishes highly. Very tender delicious chicken. The fish curry was quite hot and spicy and very tasty.

My first visit here - the chicken lollipops, schezwan noodles, medhu vadas, chaas and Mysore coffee were banging. However, the dosas weren’t crispy, the chilli chicken was weirdly too saucy and the bhel puri was disappointing. Overall a good experience - food can improve :) hard to justify a 100 pound bill at the end 😅

Nice food but the staff and service are abysmal. My friend and I walked in on a Saturday afternoon and it was quite busy but we were seated straight away. We initially ordered drinks at the bar (1 alcoholic and 1 soft drink) and were not asked for ID by either of the 2 staff members that served us. However when we sat down, one of the waiters (white with a bald head) stormed over to our table and demanded to know if we had ordered drinks. We said yes? He then demanded we show him our IDs which we did given that we are 25 and 27. This intially was very off-putting as his attitude and mannerisms were quite frankly rude, unwelcoming and like we had done something wrong. We ate our food which was nice and we wanted to take home what we didn't finish. Another different male waiter came to serve us and we asked if the food could be boxed up. He then came back with 3 metal containers, a naan bag and a plastic bag which he then proceeded to shove in my cup that I was drinking water from (see attached photo) and we had to box the food ourselves in the middle of the restaurant whilst sat at the table. We then asked for the bill which came with a 'discretionary' 10% service charge. Another female waiter came to take our payment and we explained that we were not paying the service charge as we thought the service had been terrible and she said this was okay and apologised. She took the payment and then took the card receipts to the waiter who had shoved the bag in my cup who then proceeded to comment on how we had not paid the 'discretionary' service charge. We then explained to whom I assume was the manager that absolutely no way we were paying a service charge for service that had been rude, unwelcoming and downright terrible. The manager said if we had raised it earlier he could have done something but I would suggest sending his staff on a few training courses in customer service would be the most appropriate action given that they now automatically expect service charge to be paid. Perhaps HR could also look at paying their staff better wages as opposed to pushing wage top ups on to the customer. Overall, a terrible experience - we have never felt so unwelcome in a restaurant and we won't be returning. Ye bohut bura hai!

Food: if you’re looking for authentic South Indian food, specifically dosa, this place is great! The sambar tastes like it’s actually made by a South Indian and the chutneys have amazing flavour and a good level of spice. Value for money: considering the price, the portion sizes are quite sufficient for one person per plate. Ambience: two words: sensory overload Service: polite and courteous staff and short waiting times Overall: amazing place you should definitely try for South Indian food!
