Great country side place to relax and get Indian cuisine. Upsides: Great ambience. Courteous staff. Serve good portion size...Doesn't follow less is more in terms of portion size as other top rated restaurants Good Indian food. A pleasant homely experience for fellow Indians n Asians. Downsides: May be haven't tried everything thing but spice lovers may find a bit too much of tomato puree flavour in most dishes. Impression: I shall definitely recommend it to everyone. Also looking forward to visit many more times to explore more dishes. Thank you.

Great lamb shashlik with plenty of meat. Rice was cooked to perfection. Chips were OK. Cobra beer was really cold second night had steak which again was spot on. All in all was very satisfied with my visit. Will definitely go again.

Bokhara is a delightful, hidden gem of Bridgend. Best Indian... period! I have been attending this restaurant for many years and am always recommending this as the first choice for dining when friends and family visit. I often take the Mrs here as we love the baked salmon and selection of curries. The decor and atmosphere are very traditional and with an open kitchen and livestream TV, you can watch the chefs prepare your food. The bar is always well stocked, and toilets remind me of school. The corridor is full of signs, pictures, etc, of celebrities and dignities who have attended the restaurant, as well as their numerous awards. I recommend trying the fresh breads that are baked on site, fresh in the tandoor oven. The staff are always friendly and attentive. Plenty of parking, however it is tucked away with little signage. Follow the road into Court Colman Manor and drive around the back of the building.

It had been a few years since we visited Bokhara and very little had changed. The food was top notch, well cooked, fresh ingredients, prepared in an open kitchen and served quickly. The menu is varied with loads of choice for vegetarians. The staff are also professional and friendly. The restaurant itself was very cold and some of the decor could do with a freshen up. Otherwise a really good night. Two entrances, one via the hotel and the other via a large car park at the back of the hotel.

The two stars are purely for the service. Food was so poor. The mixed meat starter didn't taste fresh, Currys way too much tomato and the dessert was sent back as it was 'gone'. We went on a Tuesday evening and were only one of three tables - this place is not busy enough and in my opinion the food is not being turned over enough! Really disappointed - however the waiting team were very friendly and helpful

We went here for a Sunday buffet as we'd heard so many people talk about it. The amount of choice isn't as varied as we maybe had expected, but having said that there was at least one dish for everyone. The tandoori starters were incredible! Amazing fresh naan brought to the table, but I would have liked another one. All in all, tasty food and we won't hesitate in going back. (Side note - a couple that ordered from the menu appeared to have incredible food!)

Went here at 1800 on a Monday night so the atmosphere was a little lacking as there were only three tables in while I was there. The food was spot on and the staff were polite and helpfull, would go back without a thought

A little jewel hidden in the Bridgend countryside.. nestled in a country house. A very fine restaurant with delicious food and pleasant surroundings. Wonderful service. Highly recommended

Ate at the restaurant twice this week and can only describe the food as WOW 10/10. Staff are very friendly and the chef is a wizard with food. The Rara Gosht Punjabi is the best curry I have ever eaten. My Wife informed me yhat her steak was also fantastic. Can't recommend this enough.

An amazing restaurant with fantastic staff and a very very talented chef. Tonight's meal has again surpassed my expectations, set in Court Coleman's grounds whose tribute to The fallen soldiers and in honouring Rememberance 100 years left me speechlessxxx

I have stayed at the hotel a few times and also eaten in this restaurant three times now. The environment is very nice, and all the staff are friendly. The service is reasonably prompt, and the food is excellent. I had the Chicken Chettinard (not that hot, even thow it is 3 chillies on the menu), Tarka Dal, Pilau etc., and it was exceptional. Very tasty indeed, and I eat out quite a lot, due to travelling for work. The one thing I had a problem with was giving a tip. I can pay by card, but they only take tips in cash, so I was unable to adquately thank my two young serving ladies or the chefs behind the counter. Take some cash, or, alternatively, the management could move into the 21st century and get a card processor with a tip option :). Writing a Tripadvisor review (as I was invited to) may help the business, but you also need to look after your junior staff in their pockets when they do a great job!

I had a work meeting / evening here and it was a good choice. Very friend staff who are more than happy to help. Food was amazing and very fairly priced. The Court Coleman, where this restaurant is located is very special indeed.

We love this place. The staff are super friendly and make time to chat to you and are personable making it an even more enjoyable visit. The dishes are not what you normally see on Indian restaurant menus, they are more traditional and so tasty. If you're looking for something different with a venue that's relaxed and welcoming then the Bokhara is the place to go. Highly recommended.

Went to an exhibition in court colman and decided last minute to see if we could get a table at the Bokhara. They fitted us in and we weren't dissapointed! The food was amazing and the service was great. One of the best Indian cuisine we have ever tasted. Proper authentic and flavoursome food. And even the chips were fresh. Would definitely recommend anyone going in this direction to try them out. There's something for all level of curry lovers. Even a menu for those who don't like curry

We haven't been for awhile and were wary that it had changed. No need to worry the food was delicious. Despite being a busy Saturday night the service was spot on. Both the spicy chicken tikka and salmon starters were tasty and cooked to perfection. For mains we had chicken Chettinad, Dal makhani, jeera rice and garlic nan. The Chettinad packed a punch and was delicious with a lovely sauce with mustard seeds, curry leaves and coconut. The Dal makhani was smooth, creamy and very tasty. They were perfectly complimented by the jeera (cumin) rice and the lightly crispy nan. Lovely!

Class Indian! I ordered an Indian for collection and requested a taste of a beer that was off draught and they gave me a gift bag of the beer which was immaculate. They make Indian food that does not taste like you are slobbering 2000 plus calories. You could taste the freshness of the ingredients in both the masalla and jalfrezi. It was immensely good and I will be back

Great service and large portions which is brilliant! Very delicious food including vegan Indian options and delicious chickpea dishes. Nice relaxing atmosphere. Slightly difficult to find at the back of a hotel and lighting outside could be better but otherwise fantastic food.

Second time there. Food was very nice. Specially the naan, which is the best I've had, and I've been to a fair share of Indian restaurants over the years. The furniture though is not great and could do with a tiny bit of renovation as it feels a bit odd considering the prices they charge for the food. Service was ok.

Disappointing. One of only two occupied tables, the overall quality was terrible since my last visit two years ago. The staff were preoccupied with their own socialising and did not seem bothered about working on a Friday night. They started clearing our table before we'd finished eating, suggesting they were in a hurry to clear us off even though we'd asked for a desserts menu that never arrived. We ordered 3 starters and a main and the chicken, lamb and salmon were tough and dry. Total including two good wines was nearly £100 which was extortionate given the atmosphere, poor service and quality of food. A real shame as the experience does not match the setting so recommend you spend your money elsewhere.

Wonderful flavourful curries here. I tried 5 curry dishes and was impressed with the ingredients and texture, lately other places I have found to have watery tomato or onion base with fewer spices. The menu has been streamlined, so the photos on Google will need updating, a few princely dishes have been removed, but there is plenty of choice with chicken, mutton and vegetarian options, also the hotel menu with traditional British options. The waitresses were great, everything was timely and well presented, the food looked fantastic and stayed warm in their candle-heated dishes. Effort was put into the dish presentation and ingredients. The kitchen is open viewing which was nice and they served a wide modern range of drinks. The venue was a little empty at 6.30pm but soon filled up and garnered a cosy atmosphere. Accessibility was good, there were disabled bays at the back of the Manor and easy access to the tables. I feel like the venue may be a little bit 'out of sight, out of mind' for people who are not staying at the Manor. It's somewhere you could easily pass by without realising, but it is worth driving the A48 and around about 10 minutes of country lanes to get there. If it was a high street walk-in restaurant it would probably be packed out every day. I will be visiting again.

Tucked away in Court Colman, we have been taking family and friends to Bokhara for years. As ever the food was amazing - I had vegetarian option (a spicy aubergine/eggplant dish) and my companions had fish and shellfish dishes, which you rarely find in Indian restaurants in my experience. Indian-style desserts are also on offer and not just kulfi. I really enjoyed a very generous serving of delicious rice pudding. We went on Easter Sunday so we literally had the place to ourselves. The staff was still friendly and super attentive. This is a hidden gem in the heart of Bridgend County Borough - don't miss out!

What a fantastic place, we had a party of 20 and they managed to get all our courses together so no one was waiting. The food was out of his world and we ordered so many different things I'm sure the kitchen staff were working very hard. All the staff there were friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend and will definitely be going back there soon.
