Service was poor with mediocre food. Our first time at this restaurant and frankly we will not return. The waiting staff were unfriendly and couldn’t have cared less about the customer. There was no interest in taking our order- totally disinterested. We have never experienced this type of behaviour in an Indian restaurant.

I’ve been here three or four times now and every other time has been outstanding but tonight... not so much. It was much busier than usual but that’s no excuse for shoddy service - started with a hair in one of the sauces that comes with the poppadoms. Then had several foul tasting drinks that had to be taken back. We waited over an hour for our food to arrive and no apology for that. All of the waiters were relatively unfriendly and was disappointed to see that in 2020 they’re still all male. The food was passable but nothing mind blowing. I probably wouldn’t go back again.

Wow wow wow! This place lives up to the best curry in Wales and I can see why people rave about it. The food was impeccable, affordable and unbelievably tasty and the service was perfection. We loved the meal and the atmosphere. Only thing.. please put garlic and cheese naan on the menu 😉! Thank you - we can't wait to return!!

Absolutely appalling service. The youngest waiter there was incredibly rude and aggressive when I asked him to inquire about the food. It ruined the whole evening. This occurred on the 8th November.

Always a nice evening out great food, quick service, nice lagers and plenty of parking. We have never had to book visiting in the week but weekends can get busy so maybe check before visiting. They do take away as well if you prefer dinning at home.

Possibly one of the best Indian restaurants I have been to. I went twice in one week. The service is a little slow but when you realise just how busy the place is you can understand. The food is unbelievably good, particularly the nan bread. Great tasty food and everyone went home full and happy.

It’s busy on a Saturday night esp for takeaways. We have been coming here for more than 20 years. The standards have always been high. The management treat regulars like family. It’s a great restaurant and a lovely location. Chicken tikka monipuri is our standout choice on the menu.

Could not fault the food. It was very good, however the service was very poor. It was slow and a smile would be nice from the older staff members. Having to pass drinks around the table and plates of food is not the way to serve customers. Leaning over customers without an excuse me is rude and also not acceptable.

I went on a Saturday evening, by myself as husband was working. Served by very attentive, friendly and professional staff. I ordered chicken curry, rice and sag paneer (sag paneer as a starter, it was quite large) Delicious, was filled by the sag paneer and rice and didn't finish the curry (it was nice). Clean, airy restaurant, will come back and eat the same again. ☺️ Tuyet Greally

Quite simply the best Naan I've ever had. So good that when I went back another time, I didn't order rice; it's not needed. Had two Naan breads instead.

well frankly speaking we were there for the first time and we ordered veg platter which was consisting of aloo chat and sasmosa's. it was disappointing to see that the food was not as per expectations of Indian food. Even ordered few veg dishes which again hoping for Indian taste, but the taste was not as per expectations. As a Indian I would like to say that this is not an Indian restaurant at all. Its completely misleading the customers on its name. Its more of Bangladeshi restaurant with not at all Indian taste.

Absolute waste of time, worst Indian I’ve ever had. Waited 1.5h for food that taste worst than a ready meal. Please don’t bother, you will thank me later. 0 customer service and they have the balls to ask for a tip, absolute joke a place. No idea how they have any business.

The food is average but Krishnamurthy was very humble, sweet and provided excellent service. Thank you. Above 5 star rating for service is only for Krishnamurthy .

I went to the monthly indian banquet and usually the restaurant is a favourite of mine. However I was extremely disappointed with the lack of vegetarian curries available, in fact there was not even 1 vegetable curry compared to 5 meat curries. I felt that it was unfair that I had to pay the same as non vegetarian eaters for this buffet. Also the poppadums were not included and had to pay extra for these. I would usually rate the restaurant at 4 to 5 star but due to this experience I feel utterly disappointed and won't be returning to the buffet night again.

Took over an hour and half to get our take out order. The Misses food was hot and fresh. Mine was cold and gave me a bad stomach. Been using this restaurant for over 10 years and after the service I received on my last visit will not be using them again!!!!

They call this joke “aloo chaat” which was basically a smaller portion of aloo sabzi. 😄 when given a feedback, the only response was ‘ok’. 🤦🏾‍♂️

Ordered online, no option to pay. Gave them 45 minutes and went to collect. On arrival had to wait in line 10 minutes to pay. Then told food would be 25 minutes wait. Over an hour in all from start to finish for a collection. Food was OK; can't really recommend the service.

Not a proper indian restaurant. Aloo channa was missing the chickpeas, the lamb tikka masala was really bad (the chicken tikka masala at Tesco is soo much better) as meat was not tender and the the sauce tasted like ketchup with very little indian spices. Disappointed also in the service

We've booked a table for Valentines Day.The food was tasty,staff was friendly and serving was excellent.Unfortunately 2nd day in the morning we both started to have symptoms of food poisoning.I was better in a couple of days but my missus was really really rough,she had all the package.We rang the restaurant but been assured that the food was fresh and cooked on the spot.Missus couldn't eat all her plate so we asked for her dish to be packed and we took it home.We are still waiting for results but my guess,it was the seafood.If the tests are coming back negative,I will apologise and uptade the review.We won't be visiting again.

Sadly, as with everything else these days the prices have increased, around 50p to £1 per item. Unfortunately this means I won’t be getting a takeaway from here as often as I used to. A shame because the food here is very good.

Friendly staff and food was delicious and cooked to order. Great flavours and everyone chose different dishes and each was great. Spices well balanced and as described on menus. Generous portions and good beer selection. Only thing would be to have waiters collecting empty glasses a bit more promptly but they were really courteous and friendly. Would go again

Overall a very disappointing and average meal. Difficulty booking over the phone. Uninterested front of house staff,felt like sitting in a waiting room. Small portions,very poor face to face service,no explanation of any house dishes,or recommendations,just a casual,and frankly casual approach to customers paying high amounts for very average food. I didn’t see 01staff members smile,and something has changed? At the end of the day customers are your business-look after them.

Always loved this place but went a couple of weeks ago and it felt very different. No atmosphere staff were very short and it felt like we were an inconvenience. We were told to hurry up with our starters because our mains were ready. I very rarely feel inclined to write a review but I have to say I was very disappointed. Food didn’t seem as good as it used to be either. It’s a shame because this used to be such a nice place to visit.

Booked a table, when we finally sat down after getting past queue heard next table complaining they had not had their order taken after 40 mins of waiting. I eventually got a writers attention and highlighted the the table next to us had not had their order taken and that nobody had asked if we wanted a drink or anything. He curtly replied ‘well we’re busy’ so I asked how long it will be until we are dealt with and with a shrug of his shoulders’ I dunno maybe 30 mins to 45 we’re busy’. That was enough for me we left and the table next to us decided did the same. Shocking service, I won’t darken their door again that’s for sure.

The buffet evening is back. Lovely selection, plenty of fresh food.

Our new favourite spot Arrived with no reservation on a Wednesday evening at around 6.30. Party of three with one disabled were parked and seated with ease. Ordered 2 starters to share, three mains, sides and desserts with naan bread also and drinks. We found the menu well laid out, reasonably priced and food (most importantly) was gorgeous. The staff were lovely and friendly and had the perfect balance of touch points. Delighted with our meal of three courses plus drinks and sundries for around £75. You will not go home hungry. We will be back.... regularly Thank you to all at the Indian Empire

I needed to organise a huge take away order for a birthday celebration whilst we were staying in an area I didn't know well. We also needed to accommodate some dietary requirements as we had guests who are vegan and dairy free. A friend of a friend recommended Indian Empire and I emailed them to ask if they would be able to assist. Mr Uddin was extremely gracious and helpful and when we finally came to placing the order and he organised everything from putting the names on each box to correspond with which guest had ordered the dish to carrying the food to our car. The service from other staff whilst we were waiting to collect was fantastic, the menu was good value for money and when we finally got home to eat the food was delicious. The restaurant itsself has a car park which makes dining or food pick up easy.

We turned up on spec having attempted to book online but the restaurant hadn’t received our booking. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Service was prompt, attentive but not intrusive. The food was served in good time, well prepared and excellent flavours. We’d read some negative reviews if this restaurant but our experience was very positive
