The temple is nice.. Peaceful environment and you can also enjoy nature here. Boating is available so can ride in river. It's best to take your personal vehicle and meals there. A good place for a family picnic.

I had visited this place last in the year 1994 for a School Picnic. That time we didn't know the historic/religious importance of this place. After so many years, I got an opportunity to visit this place in October 2017. I hired a cab from my place at Raipur and I was at Somnath Temple within an hour. The Temple structure is that made of stone carving. Its a small structure, but one can feel that its few centuries old.The Shiva Linga is at least 3 feet tall and has a Majestic Aura around it. The Sangam of Shivnath and Kharoon Rivers is just about 100 meters away from the Temple.The view of the Sangam is just awesome. There is lot of greenery around the place. A nice place to visit for lovers of Old Temples and Devotees of Lord Shiva. A must visit if you have 3-4 hours in Raipur.

It is one of the oldest Siva temple.. around 35 to 40 km far from raipur town..park ..open gym facilities r available ..two river sangam point is also there...not so much crowded...good place to visit...u can also do boating there..

Nice place to visit with your family. Mostly couples are seen roaming here and there. But the place is awesome. Situated nearby river. You can also enjoy boating here. And lots of trees are there where you can relax sitting below the tree.

Confluence of Shivnath and Kharun river. great location. Big parking facility. Beautiful Garden. Arrangement of swings for children to play. Beautiful view along the river.

Very very peaceful place but, recently lots of Shivlings are brought here from the locals (even khandit Shivlings) due to which the raw nature of this place is changed but, many people can like it and many might not. and shivnath river is very good, go there by walking bare foot cz sand there is very soft.

I can call it a hidden gem, situated in between Simga to Raipur highway. Roughly 12 kms from Simga a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Other than devoties of Lord Shiva, people may also visit this Wonderful picnic spot... please be cautious while boating in the river because the life jackets are not available, boats are not good quality (as are indigenous variety) and the river is too deep in the adjoining area of somnath temple... so only good swimmers may only take chance of boating... thank you
