Shri Ballaleshwar Ashtvinayak Temple is one of the eight temples of Lord Ganesha ashtavinayak tirtha. Among ashtavinayak Ganesha temples, this temple is the only incarnation of Lord Ganesha that is known by his devotee's name. The temple contains a bell that was brought back by 'Chimaji Appa' (Peshwas) after his defeat of the 'Portuguese' in 'Vasai' and 'Sasti'. The temple complex encircles two lakes and is tiled throughout and very nice view of kokan... There are two sanctums in the temple, an inner and an outer sanctum. ...very nice place to visit

Nice place among Ashtavinayak. Beautiful Ganesh Idol and sculpted rock temple. Neat and clean premises. Very huge free parking area just 2min away from the temple. Surrounded by beautiful mountain. It is connected to Pune via Tamhini ghat road which is very beautiful road nowadays.

The management has made sure that all the covid precautions are followed by everyone entering the premises. Mandir is always clean and neat. Although, they do not allow entering into the main room of the mandir, one can take blessings from the farther entrance.

The Ashtavinayak (literally translated to 8 Ganesh temples) hold particular significance in the many different Ganesh temples in Maharashtra. The Pali Ballaleshwar Mandir is one of the Ashtavinayak temples. It is located in Pali village, which is off the Mumbai-Goa highway. The hill fort Sarasgad is right in Pali village and the famous hill fort of Sudhagad is near to Pali. The temple itself is pretty old and nicely maintained. The surroundings are clean and there are informative boards around the place that explain the mythological and historical significance of the place. Right behind the temple is a fairly deep kund (pond) which holds water right up to the summer months. Along the pathway to the temple are several sweet shops selling prasad. Try the pedas that they sell and ask for the one with less or no sugar. They are fresh and very tasty. You will also find many shops that sell special Konkan eatables like home-made papads. The temple is very beautiful. The interiors has beautiul wooden work. It was unique as we were not harrased by shopkeepers or beggars, it was well managed.

This is one of the l well known ganpati bappa temple ie Ballaleshwar Ashtvinayak temple situated in Pali area. U can find the direction boards on road to direct. We visited this place on Tuesday. On Tuesday place was not crowded and there was no queue to visit ganpati bappa. We felt so much better and good vibes of the temple. Temple timing is morning 5:30 am to 11:00pm.
