The Ottobar has got to be the coolest place to see a show in Baltimore, and perhaps in the entire Baltimore/DC region. The Ottobar is a small(ish) venue that nevertheless books acts that usually play larger venues. Most shows have no separation between the performers and the audience, and there is a small balcony above the right side of the stage that puts you right in the middle of the action. The staff is consistently friendly and keep the crowd safe, and the drinks are reasonably priced. I make the drive up from DC without hesitation because I love the Ottobar.

Great place for intimate, interesting music acts. Sight lines are pretty good. Great calender of acts throughout the year. Bar is accessible with decent beer selections. Highly recommend getting the annual pass; great opportunity to see a bunch of folks you might never have seen.

Made up for two separate areas, one upstairs, one downstairs. Very punk rock feel. Price for entry will vary depending on event but can advance sale purchase for a cheaper ticket price.

Fun venue, fairly small with the grimey punk aesthetic that suits a venue of its size. Great for energetic shows with small/medium acts. Good sound, comfortable airflow, and a surprisingly nice bar. Parking is free in the lot directly behind the venue (but not the lot across the street), and when that fills up, most of the nearby street parking is free.

Cool little dive, perfect for live music. Parking is easy enough if you get there early. Staff was friendly, bar prices weren't crazy. Also impressed that they're taking their covid precautions pretty seriously, so hopefully shows can continue happening here! Would definitely make the trip down from Philly again!

Ottobar always have the best dance party. I enjoy coming in doing my carefree dancing. I dont drink so I can't tell you about the drinks, but atmosphere for dancing is always great. It's an old school grunge dive bar, but a good time.

Pretty small inside. The stairs and risers were super steep with nothing to hold on to. Not handicap friendly. Bar was full service and bartenders were nice!

Awesome venue and bar. Really cool vibe and size perfect for mid level bands and musicians to play. Definitely will be there again next time I am in Baltimore.

Awesome music venue, very DIY, punk vibe to it. Located just down the road from the Horseshoe Casino. Plenty of street parking nearby. You can stay down in the pit on the floor or they have a balcony you can watch from over top and still be really close to the stage. Always a fun time here! Only downside is having to drive through the city with the squeegee kids at the corners.

I drove down from Philly for the Voivod show, what an amazing and intimate place to see a show. Great sound, and not one bad spot to stand in the venue. I was right up front, on the side of the stage, back center and the mix was perfect! Friendly bartenders, especially the one who told me the best way to go back home without going through Wire neighborhoods!

One of the best bars in Baltimore! I frequent here for the upstairs pool tables. People who play pool are all super friendly. Awesome that there’s never a cover for upstairs but sometimes the DJ is meh. Staff are super friendly, drinks are cold, and downstairs puts on some real good shows occasionally

Had an extremely positive experience at this venue. My partner and I visited for a queer event that is specifically for queer individuals. We were a bit concerned when we arrived and there was a group of men who were very inebriated and acting a fool waiting in line with us. They seemed to be local college kids who were not part of the community and would've been very disruptive inside. The bouncer turned them away at the door. I was very impressed with him for protecting the queer space! Also, the drinks are cheap and staff is friendly. Great venue!

Absolutely always enjoy this venue! I've been to a variety of types of performances & always have a great time. If you're a local, or just visiting Baltimore, I highly recommend checking out what's going on @The Ottobar.

Great place to see live music, nice selection of beer and typically a very nice crowd. Perfect dive bar experience.

Haven't been in years and it felt exactly the same as before. Love the small intimate atmosphere where the band is literally right in front of you. We saw The Dear Hunter here for the second time and it was just as amazing as the first.

Great experience, with cool bartenders and great service. Good location, eclectic and interesting. While I was watching a geeky event downstairs, they had a drag show upstairs that from the glimpses I got was killing it.

It's a dive bar with a music venue, but unlike the NYC dive bars that I'm used to, Ottobar is friendly and super inviting, no matter who you are or how you identify. You're guaranteed to chat with someone new every time you come - and that's why I'd rather taxi over than drink at home.

I've been here for emo nite and bad and Boujee and I always have a blast. There's a lot to like about ottobar. The drinks are pretty cheap, the bathrooms don't have lines, there's a free parking lot, they require proof of vaccination, and it's usually crowded but not packed. Great place to see a local show.

I would've had a great time at the show I saw here if security did their job and enforced the no crowd surfing/stage diving rule. There's literally a sign on the wall that prohibits that, but multiple people kicked me in the head stage diving and security did nothing about it.

Perhaps I’ve been spoiled by sound systems.. but this one was not as good… I still love them nevertheless

A cool venue that has surprisingly more space than you might think. Unfortunately, there’s a column right in front of stage left, so just be aware.

Great sound for bands to perform! Drinks were a great price although bartenders couldn’t make too many standard specialty drinks. I still enjoyed the bartenders though!

Came here from Jersey for the Indigo De Souza concert and it was amazing!! The venue was small and intimate and everyone who works here is so sweet! Our bartender Grant was very efficient and kind! Made the best drinks all night! Also shoutout to Randy (stage name “Candy”) for also having such great energy! Overall, the entire experience was memorable, comfortable, and easy-going. Highly recommend for a chill and exciting night out! The music in the bar/club upstairs was fire and the vibe was perfect! Whether you are in town or from out-of-town definitely check this place out!!!
