Baltimore, Maryland (Fells Point) —- Many years ago (25+), Fells Point bars like “Duda’s Tavern” were true local hangouts. My visit today shocked me to realize, “Duda’s Tavern” is more a tourist bar, with tourist-sized portions & tourist-sized food prices nowadays. I ordered their “famous” crab cake and was shocked at how “tiny” it was. The crab cake featured true premium lump crab meat, just the least amount of it, for such a high price I have ever personally experienced anywhere in the entire state of Maryland. The side of potato salad was in a mini-sized portion container, barely wide enough for my fork to reach into the 3 bite-sized portion. My feeling is “Duda’s” has been around since 1949 and they have found what works for them. I am not saying I will never order their “appetizer-sized” crab cake again, just saying don’t expect not a “meal” for $27. At least bump up the side portion container. Drink prices are quite fair to inexpensive. I will just try other menu items on future visits. I do like “Duda’s” bar atmosphere with the vintage glass-block windows. I will return to “Duda’s Tavern” for a Natty Boh and some smiles, whenever I return to Fells Point. Bartender “Matty” gets a “Run-A-Way Bill” thumbs up 👍. “Run-A-Way Bill” was here! 05.10.21 #rabCrabCakeCrawl

There were no services exist here. Bartender talked to others except for me. Very rude. Never asked me how was crab cake which costed over $31 for one small cake. It was placed outside of kitchen for a while, a kitchen staff brought my food to me because no waiter picked this up. It was getting luke warm temp already. No apology. I was treated like not welcomed at all. This may be my Japanese background? I do not know. I will never come here again. Not treated like a customer, but an annoying stranger to them!

Historic and fun place. Been there many times. Went to steak night there every week for several years before COVID and recent inflation shut it down. One downer. Last year I asked a waiter if I could substitute coleslaw for the potato chips. Sure was the answer. Got a very small plate with 2 table spoons of coleslaw. And an upcharge of $3. I challenged that charge and was told it was normal. Didn't go back for 6 months, but did recently and that waiter was gone.

A long standing family owned corner saloon right off the cobblestones @ Bond Street. Tiny kitchen offers great food all day and night. With local and fresh seasonal selections available, too!

Duda's has the best crabcake in Baltimore. I have been going to Duda's for over 25 years. It has been excellent since the beginning. I love feeling like Duda's is a secret, but since the chance to leave a review popped up, I will tell you.

Went there with a couple of friends, who praised it very highly. The crab cakes were delicious. However...one person in our party was served very undercooked/raw prawns and mussels. Some were cold almost frosen. We told the waiter and he was just "oh...sorry about that" nothing happened...he didn't take the food away to fix it and we didn't even get a discount. So for my first time there, it wasn't really a great experience. Surely not a place I would visit again due to the poor service in food preparation. The place was very cozy and nice though

The atmosphere was fun, however, no one ever came to our table to leave a menu or ask what we wanted. At least 20 people came in after us and were served. I went to the bar to order our drinks, and the bartender was put out when I asked for his suggestions for a local beer. I asked for a menu, and he tossed it at me. Still an hour later and no one has approached us for an order. We left. Super rude and extremely poor service regardless of the recommendations I have seen. The beer was not cold, the bar has thinned out, and still no one has come to our table.

Never eaten at a restaurant where the cook/dishwasher comes out and complains about you to your face when you’re eating. Had to go behind the bar to get silverware, server never checked on us, and we were the only table in there (and regretfully spent $100+ on entrees the size of appetizers). Better off going anywhere else or catching your own fish down the street.

Calling all Marines, this is a must visit in Fells point. If you do not know the Okinawa Marines Official Toast make sure you ask Scott what it is. I wrote it down for him.

I had the baked chili, and it was absolutely delicious! The service was friendly and my friend and I had the place to ourselves. It was a fun atmosphere too. It's near the waterfront, small enough to feel intimate, and has great food and service. What's not to love?

I come here every time I'm in Baltimore and they never disappoint. This time as you can see I got the wings and fries and yes they were hot, yummy then gone. Dudas is kinda like the neighborhood pub just come and chill. As always thanks for the good time!

Sticky tables and chairs, Poor service. We were seated in the dining room, in plain view. Server came over, We asked if we could have a minute to look over the menu. He left and never came back to our table so after waiting 28 minutes we walked out without drinks or food and they weren’t even busy.

I come here often with my family. We sit outside and let the kids run and we enjoy a pint and the chili bake. They have a great selection of German deli sausages during Oktoberfest - always my fav. The owners are always there and are super-friendly and the wait staff is always on point. See you next time…

Really convenient location right in Fells Point Baltimore. Nice selection of beers. Being from out of town it was nice to see Genesee Cream Ale in a can. Food was good, not great. Friendly staff. Would recommend for the beer.

Every time we come to Baltimore we have to make a stop at Duda's. Great wings, great crab cakes, excellent beers and super friendly service. From our time hanging at the bar, dining with pals and their kids or sitting outside after one too many 'b'more style' drinks at the Cat's Eye, this place hits just right for all occasions.

Some of the best crab cakes anywhere. It’s their signature dish and they aren’t lying. Hard working and pleasant server who efficiently covered the whole place. Not a fancy restaurant- more like a small bar with great food and a wide selection of beer on tap and in bottles.
