Fantastic local bar. Good beer selection. With $4 wildcard option that I always appreciate. Sausage was excellent — I had the Rico suave and will definitely be coming back again (not usually a hot dog person but this was just great). Fun bar covered in scrabble pieces. Friendly staff.

Everything I’ve ever had here at SHG was amazing. The vibes are great and you can’t go wrong w/ anything on the menu. I usually get the wings or sausage (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED—THEY BOTH GO HARD) Recently tried the “O’s Magic Chicken Sammy” and truffle fries and that combo was so good. The chicken and spice kick was perfect.

Very cool place with amazing sausage sandwiches and good beers. Sadly we didn’t capture any photos of the sausage sandwiches before wolfing them down. We also ordered the crab mac and cheese, which was a bit of a disappointment. It was aggressively salty and there was no discernible crab. Still, we had a really good time and I’d go back for the sausage sandwiches any day!

A great local tavern smack dab in the middle of Highlandtown. Excellent food - the sausages are spectacular - and a nice selection of local brews on tap. It's a tight squeeze sometimes, but that's how you meet new friends!

Interesting & fun place for a cocktail and food. Loved the draft pina colada, hoping to try all their draft cocktails next time I visit. They also had a great cocktail list. Sadly didn’t get to try the food but the menu looked great and I plan to have food on my next visit.

TLDR: Eccentric sausages and a great beer selection. The perfect neighborhood hangout. Vibe: 4/5. Located in Highlandtown, Snake Hill is the epitome of the neighborhood hangout. Setup out of a row home, the bar is relatively small, with a 10 seater bar at the front and 2 long community high top tables in the rear. During peak hours, the small space could prove to be problematic, especially if coming with a large group. During warmer months, they have a few picnic tables available surrounding the building. The kitchen is located out in the open behind the bar so the wonderful smells of freshly grilled meat tubes fills the bar. Service: 5/5. The staff at Snake Hill were great from start to finish. There are no waiters at the bar, so when you are ready to order, you must go to any of the friendly bartenders to place your order. If ordering food, they utilize vibrating pagers to alert you when your order is ready for pickup at the bar. This system works great, especially if sitting outside. During our visit, we sat at the communal tables in the back and had no problems getting our beers and food in record time. Food: 5/5. Some of the best, most creative sausage blends in Baltimore. They are most famous for their pho dog, which is a blend of pork, Thai basil, star anise and Sriracha that accurately mimics the flavor profile of a bowl of pho. They also have exotic meat sausages for the more adventurous eaters, such as ghost pepper alligator and rabbit rattlesnake. One thing I definitely appreciate about Snake Hill is their social media presence, as they regularly announce special menu items. Overall, I highly recommend swinging by Snake Hill for a fresh glizzy and a beer, or 3!

Snake Hill is a neighborhood pub on a typical Baltimore street corner with outside seating at picnic tables. Inside you will find a friendly bartender on duty behind the long scrabble-tiled bartop. The menu focus is on microbrews and sausage… the latter with multiple options ranging from exotic protein mixes (e.g. rabbit and rattlesnake, duck and bacon, ghost pepper and alligator) to the local Polock Johnny’s, complete with the fabled “Works” sauce. They also offer a variety of plant-based sausages. My duck and bacon was delicious and my husband had to have the Pho-Q—I suspect because he wanted to say it—a pork mix with Sriracha, Thai basil, and fennel. Our friend who introduced us to this local watering hole ordered the Johhny’s and we shared some freshly made onion rings. All washed down with tasty cold beers and definitely worthy of venturing inside the City limits again!

Great corner pub! Lots of outdoor seating, dog friendly, and I love that they have vegan/vegetarian options. The bartender was great as well. The kale Caesar was good, along with the frosé and truffle fries.

This has been one of the few places we've been able to find in Baltimore that allow dogs outside and actually has something I can drink. They had a few ciders and seltzers that were gluten free. The prices were good and the bartender was really helpful and knowledgeable.

There kale Caesar salad will always be number one for me. It’s so simple but so good. It’s already mixed with the dressing but a little extra on the side for dipping doesn’t hurt. The sausages are really good too and unique. What’s pictured is the natty boh sausage with crab and Mac and cheese. Definitely worth a try. Fried Oreos top everything off too. I never ate in so not too sure on the customer service. I always did delivery and recently pick up.

We had a great experience as Snake Hill Grill. This low-key tavern has a great selection pf bourbon, decent cocktails and very good craft hot dogs, inspired by famous international dishes. My Pho Real, a hot dog that conveys the tastes of pho, was a hit, with the Thai basil, the sprouts, the hoisin sauce to do the job. Maybe a bit of cilantro could also work, and some additional heat, since more often than not pho tends to be spicy. The The DiPasquale is a take on the meatball sandwich, which was also a hit. The marinara was delicious, homemade from proper San Marzano tomatoes that you could taste. The prosciutto was kind of not there, in terms of flavor, being overpowered by the sausage and the marinara. Our hand-cut truffle fries were also very good. I would prefer a more salty parmesan version but I don't have any complaints here either. Their craft beers are very good and the cocktail I had was satisfactory. I would surely visit again.

Just grabbed to-go from them, and it was DELICIOUS. Great sausages and the bun-to-sausage ratio was perfect--in other words, you do not end up with a ton of bread and no sausage when eating. The truffle fries were excellent. I wish I still drank because the bar had a great vibe and a good selection of spirits. Highly recommend!

I think we need to go back for a second try. We had the pho sausage, the Peruvian sausage, and the special onion rings. The first bites were so flavorful and amazing. Then after a few bites we looked at each other and said at the same time that everything tasted so salty. He’s a salt fiend so I thought maybe it was just me, but we couldn’t finish it all. All to say, the flavors were unique enough that we must come back and try again. Maybe it was the day, just those dishes, but the vibe and the bartender create a perfect neighborhood spot. Definitely try it!!

I went here, I ordered the vegan sausage with truffle fries. Y'all the food was delicious. The hot dog was so good I couldn't believe its vegan. They are fast with ur order. I waited no more than 15 minutes. My favorite sauce is their chipotle mayo. The prices are affordable I gave 4 stars because I ordered truffle fries and got regular fries. I would of went back for them to fix it but I had to get to work. Their cheese sauce has an exotic taste to it. Its a great place to go have a few drinks and g a bite to eat. I will return again. I really wish they had more locations

We went on a Friday around 5pm and the place wasn’t too busy. Nice atmosphere with a few tall tables around the bar area and bigger tables in the back. Bartenders were helpful and attentive! You order all food/drinks at the bar. We went because we were excited about trying their vegan sausages. I ordered the vegan Italian and my partner got the vegan smoked apple sausage. Both were SO DELICIOUS. Absolutely worth the visit. They also have a lot of great mustard options. We got the fried green beans as a side and those were perfect. The kale Caesar salad was ok, just a little tough. Everything else was 10/10. I wish I were a person who ate meat because the rest of the menu looks amazing, but I know we will be back for the veggie sausages as they were really really good. Also great beer/drink selection. Highly recommend Snake Hill!!

Went for the sausage during lunch, this placed was a pleasant surprise. The only odd part was having to walk in to order and pick up food from the kitchen.

Not bad! Prices are reasonable. Funny though, they don’t offer free ketchup? First time I’ve ever seen that. Hope that 50 cents takes you guys far, seems like a very smart way to make customers appreciate the place and want to come back!

Food excellent. I went for the Mac & Cheese and Korean BBQ wings--Yum! Yum! Not a low calorie meal but I walked there and back to use some of those cals up. Keep in mind that you will be grabbing your food and acoutrements from the bar. Every restaurant is a little short-handed and your server still needs to earn a living.

Excellent drinks and I loved the Rico suave. The kale salad was also excellent. Crispy string beans were also a hit
