The place is smaller than what I thought. Their happy hour menu drinks are really good. The food is really good. The vegan burger is dry but it tastes good. The pie is really good definitely try it. It's a good place to chill with friends.

Really liked the speakeasy vibe of the place, but I don’t think the A/C was running because I began to sweat very quickly once I was there for a couple of minutes. The drinks were okay so my party only ended up getting one drink each and then heading to another cocktail bar. The staff was friendly and attentive. Overall the experience was alright.

If you're looking for a cool, vampire-y basement bar with great drinks, check out Sugarvale. The interior is dim and a little loud, but feels very intimate and moody for a date or meeting up with a small group of friends. Since 2020 they expanded their outdoor seating! During the day, it makes a nice spot for a drink and to read or write before the dinner crowd streams through. The drink menu is always fun, and their food is a nice bite to munch along with your drink. The menu always has something for the more adventurous AND the more traditional, but their bartenders can accommodate you preferences if you ask nicely!

This is my favorite bar in all of Baltimore. We went once for date night and now I go once every week. Everything is delicious but I always get the pork buns and the Astroid Blues (see you in space cowboy). I love everything about this place. Please give it a try if you get a chance, you won't regret it.

Love this spot! Awesome speakeasy vibe with stairs bringing you just below street level and dim lighting. Cocktails were excellent! Safe place with a security guard watching the door. Prefer this spot over Rye and The Elk Room, everytime. Great date spot!

Excellent drinks, decent food, can get a little crowded at night or on weekends. If it’s slow they’ll come to your table, but generally you gotta order at the bar. Almost-may update, new seasonal drinks are fantastic (and still anime themed)

Cozy little spot right by the Washington monument in Mt Vernon. Good place to hangout with friends to grab a quick drink. The indoor sitting is a bit congested however, the outdoor seats are good for big parties and have a good view.

Had gone here with friends, it's a small, kind of hole in the wall place, but it's cozy with warm, dark, and slightly moody ambience. It's a tight space with how popular it is. There's table, bar, and outdoor seating. Sat at the bar and that was nice, it was easier to get your order in. Seats are comfortable for bar stools. People who can't get a seat at the bar can just stand by it. There's a bathroom inside, but I didn't personally use it. In terms of drinks: alien love call, ginger beer (non-alcoholic), and sansho the bailiff. I recommend all three, but if I had to choose just one to drink again, it would definitely be the alien love call. Maybe it's because I'm biased towards floral flavors. It was quite light and couldn't quite taste the alcohol. I could probably drink 50 of those. Sansho the bailiff - heavy on the rum, but fun flavor combo. If you've never had ginger beer, it's like spicy ginger ale. In terms of food, we got these wings and they were hella good - super crispy and I think they had honey drizzled on them. The blue cheese dip was super creamy and not as bitter as I thought it would be. It paired well with the wings. I forgot to take a picture of the beet burger I had, but I was pleasantly surprised by it's quality. I'd order it again + didn't really taste the beet in it, but that's my preference anyways.

Parking was NO CHARGE after 6p Drinks were flavorful and the bar tender, Nate was great! Food took a while to come out, was good (not bad, not great) Atmosphere was clean, crowd was diverse.. seems like an after work spot for people who work in the area so it may get busy Indoor & outdoor seating options Check it out, I enjoyed myself

What a safe space to enjoy a great cocktail! They only offered outdoor seating, which we were looking for. The drinks were excellent and the staff were so kind in sharing information about their favorites and finding the best drink for your preferences.

They have a pretty creative rotating menu, and the bartenders have no problems making a off-the-menu cocktail on the fly too. Not the largest space, so get their earlier rather than later.

Not only did Brit craft the perfect mojito, romero, and bee’s knees, but she was friendly and inviting. Her cocktails are well-balanced and perfectly flavored, and she really made us feel welcome as visitors

Amazing atmosphere. Incredible bartenders. Asked for something based on just a few tastes and they whipped up some fantastic cocktails on the spot. Fantastic place to enjoy the evening

Truly great space. A must-go if you’re in Baltimore. Intimate setting with a stellar vibe. Think old alpine underground speakeasy or well-converted brownstone basement. Bartenders were super knowledgeable (Collin went hard with Amari recommendations), and the beer, wine, and spirits selections are all top notch. Pricing is extremely reasonable for the quality of drinks, service, and hospitality. Can’t recommend enough!

Possibly the coolest bar in Baltimore. Found by chance because Topside had a private party. Great cocktails, especially the Old Fashioned. This late October evening was just perfect for sitting outdoors, beyond midnight, with the sounds of Chet Baker in the background. Inside it was half full of its laid back clientele, against the white-tiled walls and fairy-lit ceiling. The bar staff are brilliant and we will be back on the next trip.

I popped in for a late evening glass of wine with two local friends I just happened to run into in the neighborhood. While the menu was rather limited, and I didn't find anything particularly appealing, I did enjoy my glass of wine, and the bartender was friendly, so I'd be easily convinced to return. Perhaps I will have a change of heart about the menu selections upon a future visit.

All the drinks were excellent! I went on a first date and it was very intimate with low lighting and soft music. The menu was a little fussy, but I feel like that's Mount Vernon for you. I'd definitely go again!

This was the first time I had been here. For years it’s been highly recommended and I finally got a chance to go. It was ok. I felt like the bar tender was a little bit rude. The drinks were good. I got the Trip to Alcapulco.

A chill small bar with a speak easy vibe! Some bar food options. Not a place for dinner but great for snacks with a drink.

They only had outdoor seating. You ordered on Toast and they brought you your drinks in plastic cups. That being said my cocktail was good (the old fashioned) and it was great to sit outside. I would recommend it to others.

Nice hole in the wall, speakeasy style cocktail bar. We got there after the kitchen closed. ButDrink Recommendations: We had Lonely Desire, Kuromi Koffee, Spice World and Chanel No.5. Chanel was hands down the best!
