The establishment has the potential to be great but the owner has proven to be manipulative and has refused to pay multiple employees what they are correctly owed. Labor laws have been contacted and others have threatened to sue her (if they have not yet done so). She pays what she feels you deserve to be payed and will pay Caucasian workers more based on if she feels she needs them more. She once gave a Caucasian employee 800 dollars and gave me, a African American, 130 dollars after asking about pay multiple times and told me she only owed me a total of 500 that I would receive at a later date when we worked the same shift and have the same position. After trying to convince me that I was only owed 500 dollars out of a 3800 dollar Pay stub, I quit shortly after hearing that and never received the other 400 despite her owing more and only giving 130 out of 500. I assume business is not doing well but that does not mean to blatantly lie over and over again about when others will get paid and the amount they are owed. Beware of working here. Her attitude can also be disgusting at times. This was back in October with no resolution yet. I hope others learn from my mistake and do not work here and do not support this place. I could barely afford my rent due to this woman and having faith she’d do the right thing and pay employees.

My friend was recently an employee at this bar and they refused to even pay her… they called her all kinds of crazy names and paid her white counterparts more than triple what they paid her when she called out a delay in their payments. She was only being a voice for her coworkers who were too afraid to ask for their pay. She worked whenever they needed her and was a great employee! Still, on this very day, they have not paid my friend what she is owed for the hours worked. She continued to go to work until she realized they were NEVER going to pay her. The BBB has been contacted! They took advantage of her kindness and refuse to pay her what she is rightfully owed.

It was certainly memorable. Walked into an empty bar at 7pm on a Friday and didn't get any better from there. Had to wait 45mins for the cook to arrive and finally get some tragically over fried mini hot dogs. Bathrooms floors are stickier than a frat house party room. Just when I thought it couldn't get worse, while sitting at the bar plumbing from the floor started leaking on my head. Thank goodness I believe I was fresh water. Only nice thing was I got to play a game of Pool. Unfortunately I couldn't choose zero stars rating.

I’ve been coming here for years and I’ve enjoyed each visit. I went to play music and realized that artist of color were blocked from being played. I asked one of the owners why I was unable to play Drake and he said he wasn’t sure...... needless to say I will no longer patronize this establishment. I’m giving 3 stars because the staff is great, even the owner I asked the question has always been welcoming.

Cheap steak dinner which was fantastic. Steak was cooked and seasoned perfect. The twice baked potato was rich and creamy. The asparagus was fantastic and not woody. Our server/bartender was polite and attentive even though she was by herself. She may have been cooking as well. The place caught our eye because of the wreath of free dog treats. 🐕 Pretty good sign it's got some good people working there. If I'm ever in Baltimore again I'll definitely be back.

To start, I will say that if you are ever in the area, take the advantage and the adventure to visit DogWatch Tavern. DogWatch Tavern was absolutely one of the highlights of our trip to Baltimore. We were enjoying the sport of wandering around, and we passed a place that had amazing food smells surrounding it. We continued our walk, but circled back around to see what smelled so delicious. We saw there were daily specials, along with a hula hoop hanging for public use, and various other lawn and arcade games available. We entered, and were greeted with joy and instantly felt welcomed. There was only one person working, and she was so amazing, it felt like we were back home for a moment. I wish I would have gotten her name, because I would like to assume she was also the owner of the establishment. We took a seat of our choosing and were delivered a cute little beer glass full of pretzels. We had the daily special- asparagus, twice baked potato and a 12oz steak. If I can start to explain, it was, hands-down, the MOST AMAZING thing I have ever put into my mouth. Every bite was better than the one before, and I had to resist licking the plate clean. Not only was it a magical experience for my taste buds, my stomach was more than satisfied as well. I struggled to finish my potato, but didn't want to stop eating. After she took our dishes, she brought us a small and fancy glass full of girl scout cookies to eat while she ran our card. I have to say that it was my fondest and most cost-worth experience we had during our time in Baltimore. I will be making the trek again in the future just to visit again. ♡

This place was a hidden gem! The bartender/waiter/runner was the nicest person on the planet, so attentive to us all. The food was great quality, far above what you would expect for Tavern food. It was reasonably priced, easy to find, just perfect. Highly recommend!

This place was a little gem. I absolutely love it there. The lady bar tender not so much. Bad attitude and made me feel like I was being watched. The new guy bartender dude was awesome.

Last weekend, a team member from this restaurant went out of their way to greet my dog and give him a few milk bones. It was so kind. We will definitely stop in soon!
