Lovely atmosphere here! You're just kind of packed in with a few strangers, and by the time you leave, you're best friends. The owner/bartender is very knowledgeable about whiskeys, and she has an amazing ability to find the perfect one you didn't even know you loved. However! Be warned that these are VERY heavy pours. It's great for getting your money's worth (they start around $20 a pop), but it can ruin your night fast if you think you're having one finger and you're actually having four. Enjoy with extra caution ⚠️

Unreal selection of Scotches and one of the coolest bar atmospheres around. It's like you time warped to a 1800s Glasgow pub. No TVs, intimate setting, friendly owner and patrons, and focused drink selection. Apparently it's not going to be around in the long term, so definitely a must see sooner rather than later.

Birds is very charming in its own way. The owner (since 1980) is the only bar tender. She is a delight to speak with about Scotch even though she doesn't drink it anymore. This place is best enjoyed with when you are hoping to have a long conversation with a close friend. Don't go with a large group (6+) and try to avoid it if its already crowded.

Quaint, quirky, wonderful. A tiny bar with an unreal selection of single malt Scotch (and other things if Scotch isn’t your thing), a welcoming atmosphere, and friendly, knowledgeable service. From the color-coded spreadsheet menu with maps to the rare and hard-to-find bottles to the lovely owner being able immediately recommend options, this is a Scotch lover’s paradise. The free snack sized bag of Cool Ranch Doritos was a nice bonus. You must visit this place before it’s gone.

I’ve loved this bar for quite some time. Such an amazing selection of whiskey from around the globe. Hopefully, it’ll be here for many years to come. It’s unpretentious and cozy — a nice place to unwind and talk with friends or read a book.

Deeply comfortable, a warm fire in an unpretentious place. A welcoming gem. And unique -- a neighborhood scotch bar; I know of no other, anywhere. ... One of Baltimore's many small, but sublime, treasures, for those who are open to life. No joke. Enjoy the friendly uniqueness of this special place.

Good selection of Scotches. Friendly place where the ambient noise is quite enough to hold conversations. The proprietor will turn DOWN the music when it gets busy.

Excellent whiskey bar (and I am not a whiskey drinker)! Owner is great with recommendations. Great atmosphere ("everyone knows your name" ambiance). 10/10.

Fantastic bar with amazing Scotch selection! Owner is a very nice, generous lady who was quite fun to chat with. Couches and chairs in the back were super comfortable and this place is incredible when a fire is roaring on a cold winter night.

Best hidden gem in Baltimore. Scotch only. Prices are slightly higher than what you'd pay elsewhere, but her pours are HEALTHY. It's where I bring my friends when I'm trying to show them how cool Baltimore is.

A gem of an establishment. Alicia is wonderful and has the best selection of scotch I've ever seen.

Open again after being closed for a few years. This cozy bar specializes in scotch and has an extensive selection. A great place to try different types and figure out what you like. The sign on the door says max occupancy is currently 8. Pours can be expensive but are generous.

Wonderful quaint place, great selection of whiskies and charming owner. It is was reminiscent of pubs in Scotland and Ireland we have visited. I only wish we could have met the guard dog :)
