While this kind of place would never get 5 stars in Manhattan, it gets 5 stars from me. Right off the main drag in the Highlandtown neighborhood and had 13 beers on tap for $3/pint, mostly seasonal stuff. The bartender was very friendly and willing to chat if you wanted to. Crummy pool table for 50 cents per game if you're into that. Cash only and you can bring your own food in since they don't have food.

4.5 stars. Dive bar perfect. Cozy and warm inside. Lots of boxing history, juke box and pool table, cool people and no rifraf. Small inside but the easier way to meet others. The barmaid Jaclyn kept the drink orders coming in a timely manner. This is a no food / cash only bar with snacks. ...and Jaclyn makes an awesome coffee for those who needed it. We will be back!

Great dive bar! Had cheap beer, took control of the jukebox and danced with my friends. The setting was very welcoming to us creating our own atmosphere and having a great time. Plus it’s right next to Frank Zappa way so you can go pay tribute to the man on the way in or on the way out.

This is my favorite bar in Baltimore. It has everything. You can play pool for 50¢ per game. You can play music through a touchtunes-like app. Also, all craft beers are 3 dollars!!!! I got a sorry chicky for $3. It's $16 for a six pack.

Great local tavern, prices for high-end drafts are incredibly affordable! The staff are warm and welcoming - some even remember your name and/or drink preference! Worth a visit!

Great dive bar in the heart of Highlandtown, a diverse and eclectic neighborhood of Baltimore. Drinks are VERY cheap, beer selection is excellent, clientele are very salt-of-the-earth, and bartenders are very welcoming. Cash only.

This is my first google review but Venice tavern was worth reviewing! Absolutely great drinks (the Negroni is delicious) and the food is fantastic! The vibe is so fun and uplifting to be around and the best part - Giuseppe, the skeleton in the corner, adds a wonderful sense of whimsy to an already great place!

This place is a dump! Very disorganized and dirty. The bartender was rude and slow. Drinks for such a dive bar were not dive bar prices. Way overpriced. Crowd resembled a dive bar and were very loud and obnoxious, cursing a lot. Don't waste your time and money at this place.
