Taste for BBQ!!!!! The BBQ here had no need for sauce. Tender, well seasoned, and hearty. However, the sauces were tasty: Mustard Sauce, Hot & Sweet, Coffee, and Sweet. My favorite one was the Coffee BBQ sauce. Baked beans, collard greens (vinegary), Mac&Cheese, Cole Slaw (Red Chilli) and corn bread. Everything was pretty good 👍!!! The mixed drinks from the bar were very good as well. We had the "Old Fashions". Bar seating up front. Chair seating upstairs and on the balcony. Upstairs looks like nice place to reserve for lunch or dinner party. The staff was extremely nice and accommodating. We'll be returning to try the brisket, and to have some more drinks 🍸 😉.

As a vegetarian, I was worried that there will be no options for me for barbecue. But the jackfruit sandwich did not disappoint. It was cooked in season so nicely. I look forward to visiting during my next stop in Baltimore. I do wish they had been more non-meat options but I still had a great time at the pit.

Love the brisket here. The people are great and so are the vibes. The vinegar coleslaw and macaroni are so good. I Just wish they'd add one more slice of brisket to the large 3 briskets meal and I REALLY wish they'd warm up and butter down their cornbread.

Most delicious and moist brisket you'll ever have. I also love Mac n Cheese... so thick and creamy. The collard greens are also really good! My Manhattan was also yummy and well balanced. I highly recommend. Street parking. I went on a Sunday so it wasn't too bad.

Amazing bbq and drinks, separate lines for both. Upstairs were live bands, MZing atmosphere, great to see the place packed like pre-2020.

I visited the outside patio with my dog and the team was super friendly and welcoming. He got lots of treats and fresh water. I had the Zekes Coffee Rubbed Brisket Mac & Cheese and the vinegar based cole slaw. For my beverage, I chose an old fashioned. Everything was delicious. We will be back! <3

Nice location tucked away in Hampden Maryland.  The name says it all they have lots of different whiskeys to choose from. The service was fast and the staff was friendly. I started off with the red-eye chocolate old fashion. (Four Roses bourbon, espresso simple syrup, and chocolate bitters) I was hesitant about it initially, but it turned out to be amazing. My roommate started with the Pom reader (Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Bourbon (Blue Pit Private Barrel), Blaze, Pomegranate, Thyme, Lemon, Barrel-Aged Bitters, Soda). For the meal, I ordered the 3 meat platter with Mac and cheese and baked beans. Brisket, pulled pork, and St Louis-style ribs. Additionally,  I ordered a side of the sausage links. My roommate ordered ribs and brisket. Born and raised in Texas she was not impressed with the food, but loved the drinks. I on the other hand enjoyed it all except the cornbread. It was a bit hard and stale. We both agreed we'd be back for the drinks.

My husband and I hosted our wedding here and I have received nothing but compliments from our guests about how our wedding was the most fun wedding they’d ever been too. Cara was nothing short of an angel. We planned from afar as we are from out of town and she was always open and available to email, FaceTime, etc. to make sure our day went flawlessly. Her and her team decorated for us as well as cleaned up, which took a crazy amount of stress off us. We were seated for 60 in the private second floor area and they were even able to accommodate a DJ. The prices were out of this world for a wedding especially with the value/quality that we received. The food was incredible, the drinks top notch, and the staff were so accommodating and fun I wish they could have attended as guests! The venue even came with an amazing Photo Booth that our guests loved. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be back for dinner when we are back in town.

The guy next to me said they have the best brisket. The bartender said it was the best brisket. My buddy with me agreed. I can only assume they’ve never had truly amazing brisket because while it was really good and then some, it was far from being the best ever. The pulled pork was great and so were the sides, especially the Mac and cheese. Good place, just not life-changing good. Friendly staff.

Ribs and pulled pork were decent—everything else was pretty mediocre and overpriced. Wouldn’t recommend eating here if you come from a traditional BBQ state—you will leave disappointed. The servers were friendly but system for ordering/paying was overly difficult. Probably won’t be back

Quiet Wednesday night. Bartender was friendly and helpful. Big Whiskey and bourbon selection. Spare ribs were falling off the bone beautiful. A mix between a dry rub and barbecue sauce seared in. The collard greens have a nice flavor and the Cornbread was good too. My mac & cheese-👍

Food was just okay I got the pulled chicken paid Xtra 1$ for coldslaw on the sandwich the sandwich was so dry the chicken wasn't tender the roll was unimpressive and so was the coldslaw. Coldslaw wasn't good and only a dab thank goodness I had to drench the sandwich in sauce. There was a fundraiser going on I purchased one of the signature drinks to participate it was excellent delicious. When I arrived there was a warm greeting from the Bartender . The atmosphere is like going to an old church Barbeque there is an old church pew upstairs I found that rather cute. I sat upstairs but also went outside very plain nothing spent for decor but I found this interesting and a really cool atmosphere if you just want to throw on something and grab a bite at a cookout. Had the food been good it would have made the decor more cool. I was expecting so much more from the food and was so disappointed. My waiter was excellent very friendly and attentive. In fairness I only had one thing from the menu perhaps other selections are better. I will give them another opportunity.

Potentially the best restaurant in Baltimore. Service is awesome. There’s always new cocktails to try and good local beers. Hands down the best bbq I’ve had in my life (including anything I’ve had in Texas). The brisket is probably my fave meat, but you really can’t go wrong. The jack fruit is great, non-vegetarians should definitely try it. I hate most mac and cheese but have dreams about theirs is so good. Best thing on the entire menu is the collard greens though 🤤

Place is straight fire. Easily one of the best restaurants in Hampden. Prices are affordable and portions are great. Best of all, food quality is top-tier. We picked up on a Saturday night and ordered pulled pork, brisket, mac & cheese, beans, coleslaw, and potato salad. Literally everything was fantastic. Friendly wait staff and cozy vibes inside. 10/10 would go again.

Very average Barbeque food. It's not terrible, but no where close to being good or great. It's just alright. It's like a more expensive but worse tasting version of Mission BBQ. I got the 3 meat plate and the ribs were the best thing. Bratwurst lacked flavor and seemed slightly undercooked. Brisket had waaaaay too much fat on it to the point where I had to pull it off the meat (pics at bottom). Not bad but I probably won't be eating here again. Beans lacked seasoning and the Mac was about a 4 out of 10 lol... I hate to say it but it tasted like BBQ made with little to no "soul" 😂😂😂

Phenomenal food and service. They accommodated us and our dog at the outside tables and turned on the heaters even though I don't think people usually eat out on the back patio in the middle of winter. Really good bbq and sauces, including one coffee based sauce that I've never tried anything like before. We got a pulled pork sandwich with slaw, and a half rack of ribs with collared greens, pickled slaw, and cornbread. All were REALLY GOOD. I highly suggest the mustard based sauce. Cocktails were also good, though I think I chose something sweeter than I was hoping for (but what did I expect when I order something that has pumpkin in it). Want to go back and try other cocktails as they have a good sized selection (and their whiskey collection). I'm suggesting this place to all my friends and I'm definitely coming back here, hopefully dragging more folks with me.

This is a nice hidden gem. I went on a Wednesday evening around 6:30 p.m. The BBQ was very good. The drinks were good as well... Nice atmosphere; nice mixed crowd; plenty of seating options- 1st floor, bar, 2nd floor, outside dining. The brisket was so tender that I could cut it with my plastic fork. The ribs were very tender and flavorful. The collard greens were delicious. 3-meat platter is enough for two people. Beans and potato salad were both good. I was not crazy about the coleslaw. I won't get that next time. The drop in the star is due to not being served with plates...I just like plates... the food is on a serving dish, but it is not a plate.. and I don't like paper straws... other than that...two thumbs up! I would highly recommend.

We were introduced to this bar by a friend who used to leave in the neighborhood but moved out of the city and is currently our neighbor. She said they have some of the best whiskey cocktails and bar foods that's very reasonable. She could not have been more right! We arrived and were greeted by the bartenders and were told to sit wherever we would like. We have six of us and just stood around one end of the bar. Not a huge bar but cozy. The bartenders are super kind and welcoming. They have food going until 10 which we took full advantage of. One friend ordered the Jackfruit Sandwich, which I didn't realize was a vegan bbq option... woah! I'm not vegan but I absolutely had to try a bite. Definitely tricked me. I got the chopped brisket and could not have been happier. The Mac n' Cheese is AMAZING! I would got back to sit in a corner just to have a cocktail and a bowl of their Mac n' Cheese! For real! Everything was reasonably priced and great portions. Loads of laughter, smiles, full bellies, and great drinks. Thank you. We will be back!

Food comes out very quickly. Seasoned pretty well. Wait staff very friendly--greeted every single customer from varying walks of life with a warm welcome as soon as they came in. Eclectic music selection--something to please most palates.

So my husband looked this place up because he really wanted some bbq food… I should have grilled myself but I digress… first let’s start by saying the quantity and quality of the food is not worth the price we’ve had way better. In fact still have not found a place better but there in DC. But next I had ordered the 2 meat platter with the brisket and brats wurst my sides were the red chili coleslaw and greens. My husband had the 2 meat platter as well he ordered the pulled pork and chicken his sides were Mac and cheese and the beans. The beans was the best thing out of both of our dishes. My greens had to much vinegar taste to it. My slaw was not slawing both my brisket and brat was very bland unseasoned. My brisket was a little tender but very dry. My husband said the pulled pork and chicken was ok but had really no flavor. The Mac was ok but not too tasty either… basically we wasted our $50. We didn’t either bother eating the cornbread so don’t know what that taste like. But it came with no butter. What you see of my food is still what’s left I couldn’t. Don’t know if we will try again maybe it was just a bad night or the wrong cook. Not sure

Can't speak to cost as here for a wedding reception, but nice beer selection and cocktails, very friendly staff, and (most importantly) the BBQ and fixings (collared greens, beans, mac, slaw) were delish. Good variety of sauces that were tasty but not particularly spicy or hot. Cornbread more dense and floury than normal but still good. Overall we'd be glad to come back here for the meat alone.

Customer service 100% Brisket and collard greens amazing ! My husband and I walked into the establishment and we were greeted with smiles and a wonderful atmosphere. I had some questions about the coffee rubbed brisket and he assured me that the brisket would be tender and juicy and would not taste like a cappuccino lol. The collard greens were seasoned to perfection not to salty just right ! The brisket was AMAZING ! It needed no additional sauces or anything added to it, just eat it like it is, of course we tried the barbecue sauce and that was delicious as well. Please pay this establishment a visit, you won't be disappointed.

FANTASTIC food. Some of the best BBQ I've eaten in a long time. Had the pulled pork, and didn't even need to use any BBQ sauce it was so good. Baked beans were fantastic, and I loved their pickleback slaw. Everyone was really friendly, and their outside patio is great -- just wish more dogs were hanging out!

BBQ is not the best I've had but it's always consistent and good and the prices are really good. Cocktails are also surprisingly good for a place you don't assume to be a cocktail bar. I would shoot for the sausage and chicken here. Brisket is a little dry usually. Staff is friendly. It's a great addition to the neighborhood.

A great visit to the BBQ pit yesterday resulted in good company and good food. I took recommendations and took home the brisket, Mac cheese, homemade potato salad, pickles and loaded baked potato and sauces. They had mustard, coffee, hot and spicy or sweet bbq sauces. Favorite sauce was the sweet sauce. I also added a vegan jackfruit sandwich. All were great. The great fare, ambiance, decor, nooks and central location, all added to make for a wonderful evening. Will do that again.

The food was pretty good. The collard greens was surprisingly flavorful and juicy. The coffee dry rub on the ribs was a nice touch and paired well with fresh local draft beer on tap. The beans were a bit bland byt full of brisket. The service was great and has a nice vibe for BBQ,Brews, and Sports

We were in the neighborhood and looking for Baltimore's best BBQ so we gave Blue Pit a try. In short, it's a good neighborhood spot. We ordered the brisket sandwich and pulled pork sandwich plus some sides. I forgot to ordrer cole slaw and the brisket sandwich really could have used some crunch. Brisket baked beans were the highlight of what we ordered. Mac and cheese didn't disappoint either.
