I tried B&O for the first time 2 weeks ago for happy hour, I've been 4 times since. Needless to say pretty good experiences. I'm usually not the biggest fan of smoked wings but The wings are really really good. Each time I've tried the drink of the day I've been thoroughly impressed there bartender Matt really takes his craft serious. The staff is always very friendly & courteous. Also it's gorgeous inside, check them out if you're in the downtown area.

I came here with my boyfriend for a quick bite before we went to the nearby museum and was met with an awkward greeting from one of the waitresses. After randomly starring at us, she finally greeted us and sat us. We both enjoyed the crab and spinach dip and a few drinks. The food is great; probably need to work on greetings 😬 **Update to this post We went back for drinks when we visited Baltimore last month and we enjoyed our visit. Better cocktails and great calamari! Very good!

Great service. The place was very busy. The staff was extremely friendly and was very attentive. Every person did every job, the true benchmark of teamwork. The food was great. I got the chicken and waffle. Mrs. Wally got the French Toast. We each got the chicken sausages, cooked just a bit crispy, juicy and full of flavor. The building is a repurposed train headquarters for the historic Baltimore and Ohio (B&O on the Monopoly board for you game night enthusiasts). Flanked by two bars, the dining room has a map of the original rail line on the wall.

This is a unique restaurant that is located within Hotel Monaco and in the Downtown of Baltimore City. It was once the historic Baltimore & Ohio Railroad (B&O) headquarter, hence called B&O American Brasserie. The lobby of the hotel is very elegant with old European style. The restaurant has two floors. Some of the decorations include chairs and table lamps from original B&O dining cars. Their claimed specialty is wide selection of cocktail drinks. Its "fatality" drink was certainly unique with a distinctive BBQ smoke taste that could match perfectly with a rib-eyes dish; its "Vice City" drink, however, was fruity but quite sweet. One of our Brazilian friends requested Caipirinha, a very popular drink in Brazil. Unfortunately, the challenge was unmet. Some of its starters were good especially the Brick Oven Roasted Octopus, strongly recommend it. For my entree, I ordered Spring Colorado Lamb Chops. It was beautifully done. After the dinner, I surveyed satisfactions from five of us. The total score was: 4.42+/-0.32 (N=5).

I decided to check B&O Brasserie out since I was already staying at the Kimpton hotel. I must say the duck wings were very delicious and I highly recommend trying them. I had them as my appetizer. For my main course, I had the Mediterranean sea bass. It was absolutely scrumptious. It was so good I wanted more. I concluded my meal with a dessert that I particularly didn't care for. The brownie was too hard, and the bananas weren't sweet. They were kind to take it off my check. Other than that, everything else was superb. The staff was friendly and attentive. They also have signature drinks that are exceptional as well. I had the Manhattan which had a strong kick to it. Great service and food. I highly recommend this restaurant. 4 stars!

I enjoyed the salmon dish for lunch. The food was delicious. The chef finished the dish in the large pizza which gave it a pleasant crunch. There was only one waiter who was also the host so it wasn't the smoothest service I ever had. All in all I would visit again.

We had so much fun "Dining in the Dark"! The food was excellent, our waiter was absolutely awesome, and the whole experience exceeded every expectation we had! A great night for friends, couples, or groups!

Great happy hour! For a draft beer & wings it was 15$. Wings were good, not to spicy and well cooked.

This place is a hidden gem in the city. From our waiter Dominic to the bartender who looks like a rocker. Unfortunately I forgot his name, with his imagination for the cocktails! This place rocks! The vibe is amazing and the food is amazing as well. This place was so good we went two nights in a row. The first night I had the porterhouse pork chop. You think I don’t want a pork chop for dinner. But yes you do! This pork chop had so much flavor. My fiancé got the rock fish special. That was amazing as well. The second night I had the steak and my fiancé had the pork chop. Bottom line we would drive two hours from home just to eat here again!!

If you want good solid fulfilling breakfast, this is your spot. Even the coffee was hot and freshly made. Jaymo's energy is everything. If you don't know what you want, he'll make magic happen. You can tell the chefs in the kitchen make their food with love!

The location itself is nestled next to the Monaco hotel which is very convenient for the hotel guests, but there's no extra benefits other than it being next to the hotel. The food itself is typical bar of food with a little bit of a twist... It actually does taste good. The only problem is the service; each time I got an order here which was about three times, every order came out wrong. I just don't think that anyone listens to the order and correctly inputs it since no one writes anything down in this place. I won't ever be in Baltimore again, but if I ever come back to this specific location I'm going to hesitate on ordering anything to be honest.

I visited B&O with seven colleagues after a major conference in the area. We intended on getting a week drink, perhaps a small bite and leave. However, we were not prepared for the treat we would get and the fun experience we would have. We at a table were seated at a table with high chairs just in front of the bar. This was helpful since I am 6'7" tall with long legs. Our waitress was Myra and boy was she fun. High energy, bright smile, engaging and just set the tone for the night. We ended up drinking wine, cocktails and eating dinner. Our short stay extended into a full blown meal due to the mood Myra set and the incredibly good food. We had some pasta, bread (amazing), one vegan dish and a what felt like a little bit of everything. All was eaten, not one person had a complaint. I recommended you visit B&O, and if you are lucky you will have the pleasure of meeting Myra and enjoying her wonderfully outgoing personality!

Came here for Mother's Day and it was a bit frustrating at first... line out the door... it was taking so long to be seated that several people gave up and left. They had accepted way too many reservations for the same exact time... and they were short staffed, inexperienced servers and host. BUT we hung in there. The manager stepped in and was very nice, comped us our mimosas... which went a long way toward easing the tension. I had the shrimp and grits... and I must say, they were absolutely delicious, creamy and cooked the proper way... just right! I definitely recommend this dish. A couple of little snafus at the end of the meal were taken care of so all was well that ended well. Everyone is entitled to a second chance... it was a tough day for them but I'd go back for the shrimp and grits :-)

Food, service and atmosphere were amazing. We got the pasta with shrimp and the sauce was amazing! The garlic bread was perfection. The tiramisu was out of this world.

This place was great! My husband and I shared the jerk chicken entrée, the flat bread pizza, and the crab dip. Everything was flavorful and it made my palate to do the happy dance! I know that eating in a place that is connected to a hotel can leave some people skeptical but, let me assure with saying that this is by far one of the best eateries in Baltimore city. The service was expedient, although because of COVID restrictions, 1 hour fine in only made us feel a little rushed. While the selection is not vast the things that they do offer, they have mastered. Would recommend definitely! We are still talking about that jerk chicken a week later!

Food was amazing. I had 3 different drinks and every one was better than the last. Chef came out and asked how everything was. The bartender crafted most of the menu and he was a pleasure. I look forward to going back

The duck wings and pepperoni pizza were my favorite! We had buffalo oysters, wagyu burgers, Fire grilled octopus. All these dishes had beautiful presentations and was an explosion of flavor. Staff was wonderful

We used to enjoy this spot but each time we’ve come in the last few years it feels like it’s not doing as well as it has before. Hoping we caught it on an off day more recently. We came in on a hot day and there wasn’t any a/c, the restaurant felt very hot and sticky. Could not stay.

Atmosphere, service, Food was great. Get the sugared waffles they'll be your favorite thing I promise. Stayed at Hotel Monaco and breakfast here before leaving for the weekend was the perfect way to end the weekend. Make the trip. Appreciate the Atmosphere.

The B&O Brasserie has a seasonally rotating menu with tasty options, but overall the menu is somewhat limited. All of the meals are generally good, but the prices seem to be a little high for the portions (which I suppose is expected with most hotel restaurants). Overall, good choice if you need a nicer meal in downtown business district.

Amazing cocktails and experienced bartenders. They knew how to make a drink but the food was mediocre.

We admittedly ate here on Valentine's Day because several places we would have preferred to go to were booked. My wife used to take clients here for lunch when she worked downtown, so we decided to give it a try. The food was surprisingly good. I had an excellently prepared cut of meat, and my wife had a very good fish. I've never liked au gratin potatoes much, but those served with my meal were excellent. Our server was new and needed a lot of help, but she made up in effort and cheerfulness what she lacked in experience. Not the best location in Baltimore these days, but they offer valet parking. We opted for street parking since so few people can drive a stick any longer, and were fortunate to grab a spot close by.

I'm not sure why this restaurant has such high reviews, but perhaps I just ordered the wrong dish? Full disclosure: I only went her once while out of town on business. I had an exceedingly average chicken parmesan that was over-fried, under-seasoned, and over-priced. I finished my beverage within five-minutes of sitting down. Despite asking for a refill, I never got one, so I sat there with an empty glass for another twenty minutes, which was sad. I'd intended on dessert but was so disappointed I decided to just pay and leave.

From the moment we walked In it was like we were at a family’s members house. Everyone was extremely nice and went out of the way to make us feel comfortable. Food was perfect and prices were even better. Even wrote Happy B-Day on the desert for my wife.

We came to this restaurant after a bad experience with another. Soooo glad we came here. We had the $45 dinner menu special and were very pleased. Elizabeth, our server, was kind and the host, Gavin, was very friendly. We had a great time.

This is a regular lunch place for myself and co-workers. This was our second time dining there before a concert at the arena. The food is always good and fresh, so even after a rather unpleasant experience back in April, I thought we'd give it another try Saturday night. I made our reservation in early November for 6:00. We arrived at 5:40. We were seated right away on the second floor. After our previous experience and saw how crowded they were we seriously considered leaving. But, didn't. Our mistake. Our waiter (I believe his name is Dominic) was clearly overwhelmed. He was the only server for the 8 occupied tables (approx. 24 guests). There was also a private party upstairs that he was assisting with. Although he was overwhelmed, he was very pleasant and kept apologizing the entire time we were there. At 6:00 we immediately ordered two drinks (a beer and a mixed drink) and a pizza (nothing else) hoping to save time. At 6:30 we were still waiting for our drinks. Finally, got them at 6:40 and were told our pizza would be out soon. At 7:00 we asked the manager to check on our pizza. He came back and said, "They just put it in the oven." Really?! While we were waiting for our pizza, two tables who were there before we arrived had their drinks, canceled their food order, paid their tab and left. We finally got our pizza at 7:20....an hour and 20 minutes for a pizza! The manager also apologized and said they only had one bartender and "not enough kitchen staff". I told him I appreciate the situation they were in, but clearly they needed more servers, more kitchen staff (including expeditors) and another bartender. He didn't disagree. We were told by many staff members they didn't even have a hostess until recently because "the owners didn't think we needed one and the managers could handle it." We felt so sorry for our server. We made sure to tell him and his manager he did a great job considering the circumstances. And made sure we tipped him well over 20%. CFG has done a fantastic job renovating the arena and bringing top-notched talent to the area. So, it would be in the restaurants best interest to get their issues worked out...and fast. Management - if you have a private party reserved, don't accept so many reservations! If you don't have enough staff close off tables! Hire more staff before! Open your eyes and help your staff or you are going to start losing lots of business. Think about how many staff members you could hire with just the money that walked away from the two tables!
