New review: Maybe they hired a new chef, but my food was horrible. My meat was a little red and everything was watery. Watery rice and vegetables. The veggies weren't cooked all of the way. I don't think any of the food was cooked all of the way. Prices also increased. I paid 17.50 for a small curry goat and 20.50 for a large oxtail. (July 2021) My mom loved the oxtail meal. She got a size large. Tons of food at an affordable price. I've had the curry goat and it was tasty. The bbq wings I got this time around were delicious. 4/5 because the oxtail and wings tasted good. The sweet potato cake and mac n cheese weren't good at all.

Ordered curry goat rice peas cabbage. It tasted like it had been cooked two weeks prior. Completely taste less and over priced. Good food at Montego Bay or Julia's Always freshly made.

The food was really good, but I did not feel welcomed with my child. I ordered a meal for us to split, and the lady wouldn’t even give me an extra bowl or even a lid to split the food on so I could take whatever my baby didn’t eat home. Which left me with food that went to waste. This experience was not welcoming at all. When I asked for a bowl she said “no I cannot because everything we give out has to be accounted for.” Which is understandable, but it’s places like chipotle that I could’ve went to that would’ve gave me an extra bowl with no problem. I was even willing to buy the bowl, or even a cup. I do not see myself coming back here again. And if you do go here with intentions of splitting a meal, please bring your own extra silverware and plate.

I ordered the chicken briyani to go. I understand the chicken being slow cooked with its bones for flavor, but this is just too much to serve someone. It literally seemed like half my chicken was bone. I really hurt the inside of my cheek on one of the very little pieces

I paid $20 per large curry goat plate and it literally is like 5 pieces of goat and BONEEEEEE. It’s bone central. Hella rice and peas though and the rice isn’t cooked well. I ordered two larges and these were probably extra smalls. I’m never ordering from them again. The one star is for the service. At least they were nice, because I’ve heard otherwise. Maybe because it’s Mother’s Day 🤷🏾‍♀️

Worst customer service ever. They pretty much only focus on to go orders. We had to wait twenty minutes to even get drinks. We were the only people at the bar (2 people). It took over an hour for our food to come out. So we decided to leave and as soon as we wanted to cancel the order. We had to wait another 25 minutes to get that. Bad thing is the food is good. Been here three times same experience every time.

The food is like that. The atmosphere is nice and calm. It's so much more good things. The lights kinked lady acts like she has an attitude. She probably could get more business if she could change but I got passed that quick. I devour my food in minutes.

Horrible customer service. The cashier started bagging our drinks and we asked to dine in. She became argumentative and told us that we should have asked when we ordered. It literally became a long drawn out argument to dine in. The attitudes of the staff (1 other person) became salty. The cashier was sluggish and slow to service. I ordered the oxtails and the meat was stuck to the bones like the cashier's tracks. I'm use to the meat falling off the bone and it was sweet. Nasty Yuk! beff patties were good. I traveled from Dallas TX to experience Baltimore and support black business. Never returning here again. Bad Business. Do better!

Jerk chicken rice cabbage plantains best I ever had , their non alcoholic drinks are amazing too from pineapple ginger to grapefruit soda . BBQ wings were on point too. ambience, atmosphere, service, all great for date night. While we were eating we were invited to go upstairs for the comedy show. Definitely coming back

Inconsistent service. I went to the bar on 08/11/2022 bought my lunch and sat down without issue to eat. On 08/12/2022 I purchased an order, the server never asked if it was to go or dine in. When I got the order and sat down to eat another girl came and said I needed to pay gratuities to sit down. I tipped her so I looked at my receipt and asked how much do I tip to sit down? She then said I have to order a large in order to sit down. Safe to say I won't be going there anymore.

St Mary's advertises an 8am opening. I called twice from 8 until 9am. No answer. I don't live far so decided to go there. I really wanted some ackee and saltfish. I was met by a surly woman who said there was no ackee and salt fish and there was no food prepared. Looks like they were just starting to clean up from the night before. It was now 9:15am. I suggest they change their hours of operation. Don't open the doors until you are ready to serve customers. Probably my last visit to this establishment.

Great food. Service was good however they had tons of takeout orders and it may take a minute to help you if you eat in. Prices were really reasonable.

I dropped by randomly on a Sunday night and ordered a large curry chicken meal to go. IT WAS WONDERFUL! I loved the food, the service, and the atmosphere. The waiter and cook were very busy, yet my order was swift and good. It was enough food for 2 folks but I was hungry and fulfilled after eating it all to my self. Will go again and again very soon. :-)

I ordered a small jerk chicken and coco bread. The food and service were all good. The cashier was fast because they did not have to cook the food it was already prepared. The portion was perfect for me to eat without having any leftover. I did not realize they had a bar in the restaurant. Also there appears to be a larger bar upstairs. Next time I will stop in for some drinks before I eat or bring a few people and make it a party. They also have tables and servers if u would like to dine in.

Excellent authentic Jamaican food. Be patient on the wait cause the service is very slow but the delicious curry goat (see below), stew beef, jerk chicken or rotti makes it worth waiting. Best to take out. Eating area is okay but staff too busy with take out orders. Stays open past 8pm.

Depending on the night the food is excellent. Some nights the preparation of the food feels rushed and not made with love but that's not too often. Now the customer service can be improved because the cashiers can be very rude at times and although that's a typical "carribean" restaurant's stereotype it still is unacceptable. The atmosphere is still good though because it's a clean establishment.

Curry goat was ok. It wasn't as tender as I thought it should be and it lacked a lot of flavor. The wait was excruciating especially when you are looking at the food already prepared and you just have to stand there and wait for the cashier to take orders in-person and over the phone. Then, watch her lumber over to the food area to slowly, painstakingly, and seemingly begrudgingly make plates that were mostly a plate full of rice and peas. I felt like she didn't want to work and our presence was an inconvenience. A pleasant smile and a little sense of urgency takes you a long way. We will be going to a more convenient Jamaican restaurant that has ample parking and friendly dispositions.
