Following up on Kasia’s review. The staff is amazing and will gladly serve anyone who comes into the establishment and says that they would like to be seated outside. As the chalkboard sign says “please see bartenders to be seated outside” The lady that wrote the terrible review brought a beer that was not purchased from ajs and assumed she would get service. Please ignore her comment. Staff is absolutely amazing

I am not sure how to rate this place because I have visited twice (In one week). I visited on a Tuesday around 4 pm. We sat outside and the food was absolutely phenomenal! The food was so great my mom suggested that we take her there 4 Mother's Day brunch. I decided 2 take her there early so that we could get a seat inside because I knew it would be cold that day. We got a seat at the bar. The staff were great, but the food that day was horrible. Be mindful that the menu changes according 2 the time. On Mother's Day we had to select from the brunch menu. I ordered French toast that tasted more like just plain 'o cardboard toast. My daughter ordered waffles and chicken and the chicken was battered processed chicken u buy from the grocery store but worst. My mom ordered crab cake benny and although she did not enjoy the porch egg, she said the crab cake was delicious. The staff especially Lauren, our waitress, was extremely gracious and attentive. HOWEVER when we went on the Tuesday before the food was DELICIOUS! We ordered the crab cake egg rolls...There were 4 on a tray. I ate two which filled me up. 4 their meal, my husband & daughter ordered subs. My daughter ordered a chicken philly sub and my husband ordered a shrimp po boy. All of it was great but the po boy literally had a party going on in my mouth....It was absolutely great! I would select this place again but during dinner. Oh the parking is horrendous so be prepared 2 circle the block a few times and be prepared 2 read the same signs (that seem like u have 2 be a rocket scientist 2 understand) a thousand times Also, the day that u go hopefully it is not trash day. We went what seemed like the day before trash day and caught a wonderful wiff of trash yet even though we sat outside it did not bother us at all. The portions r huge!

I've been here twice (brunch and dinner), and was disappointed both times. The menus sound amazing, but they're pretty much a let down. The food doesn't stand out in any way; it's not terrible, it's just meh. If the prices were significantly lower I'd probably be okay with going here occasionally, but relatively high prices paired with boring food just doesn't make me want to come back.

It’s Glizztastic! I ordered the AJ’s Glizzy and wow! I glizzed immediately. Don’t get me started about the drinks. The seasonal Glizzyrita is fills the palate with its glistening glizzy glory. Truly wonderful flavor profiles all sound.

I visited this morning for the first time as my husband wanted to take me out to brunch for my birthday. This place was recommended by a local food blogger. Upon arrival we were greeted and seated immediately. Our server informed us that the brunch menu was currently being served and we used the QR code in the middle of the table to see the menu. We decided upon our food. He ordered the pancake short stack with scrambled eggs and bacon. I ordered the chicken and waffles with a side of home fries. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time but his order was incorrect. The dish incorrectly had french toast instead of pancakes. Seeking to be amenable and because he did not wish to wait longer, he decided to try the french toast. He said the food tasted decent but had room for improvement. I received the home fries first and thrice requested a side of ketchup from two different staff members. Never received the ketchup. When the chicken and waffles arrived, I was VERY disappointed. It is not an understatement to say the chicken tenders were over fried, oily and lacked any form of SEASONING. The manager and server did come over to address the issue and took it off of the bill. That is the only reason that this review does not have a lower rating because that dish left MUCH to be desired. It seems to be a gamble with the food quality. I may give them a try for dinner but currently unsure.

Great food, great service and big portions! Their cocktails were also really good. I got the cranberry mule and it was so good.

I was more than excited to try this place. Everything on IG looks so good I had to get here. This pass week I finally was able to make it and was disappointed I was unable to eat. While sitting there someone walked in with a dog which I definitely was a fan of because of the food. The two bartenders begin rubbing the dog, then proceeded to making drinks without washing their hand. Big red flag for me on cleanliness. I just left, no way I can trust this place at this point.

Great for brunch, dinner, HH, and more. I come here a lot and it's great every time. Good crushes, buckets, other large drinks. Food options are great tasting with good variety, all the staples. Awesome staff too.

We came to AJ’s early last Sunday because of the amazing reviews. We walked into the bar area where two bartenders were laughing and joking with one another. A third was seated at the bar — maybe a waitress? — and waved her hand toward us. “Just sit wherever,” she said and went back to her conversation. We almost felt as if we had intruded on their break time. Other friends of theirs came in, chatted, and left. The steaks were nothing special and the entire time we just felt as if the staff couldn’t be bothered. We won’t be returning.

Good service but the food left something to be desired for sure. They also leave the windows open but the weather was like 60 degrees so I was pretty cold inside too. Not great for brunch unless you’re drinking because they have pretty good pitcher deals for $12. We just wanted French toast though. The eggs were also definitely from a bag which was disappointing for a $14 plate. They just need to improve the menu because the place was really cute. Good potential but please get the kitchen in order.

Please save your money. Myself and a a couple of friends decided to try this place because of how tasty the food pictures look on their Instagram page. Looks can be very deceiving..the food was very salty. They use too much seasoning, the plate was even seasoned! I felt so sick after leaving from eating their food, i vomited all night. But thats not the worse of it. The service was poor. Seems like whoever was working that day, had company as well. The bartenders were too busy taking shots with friends and laughing and joking that they couldn’t even service me and my friends well. It felt very unfair & alot of favoritism was going on. I will never give them my business again.

AJs is a great spot in the upper federal hill area and is perfect for small parties of 3-5, great for happy hour. While its in trend make sure you get their crab lump egg rolls

So happy this restaurant came to our neighborhood! Everything ordered was delicious. Brussel sprouts w/white balsamic glaze - wonderfully crispy. The grilled cheese with tomato soup is PERFECT (if you like cheese). Service was cheerful and helpful; the space is cozy but not cramped. We will definitely be back.

First time here and experience was great. Celebrated my brother's 50th birthday and he was not disappointed. There were four of us and food ordered was loaded fries, steak frites with fries, classic buffalo chicken wings, and steak tacos. Definitely a hit and also can't go wrong with the rum punch! Will definitely go back!

Had brunch here and the food was amazing. The breakfast Crunchwrap was super hot and fresh. I had it with no meat and it wasn’t a problem for the kitchen and I received it filled with egg, cheese and potatoes. So many other places just take the meat out and leave it half empty. The drinks were so good and the service was exceptional. They were always available if I needed something but weren’t hovering. Definitely will make it a regular stop.

Absolutely great atmosphere. Amy and Ashton were incredible. Amy’s shots are incredible and deserve their own menu. 5 stars.

I was so excited to visit this spot! It's a cute little bar. When I walked in, I was not greeted. There's the bar to the left and a few table tops to the right. I waited a good 3-4 minutes before the bartender approached me. I ordered the crabby fries, it's really good. For my entree, I ordered the crabcake sandwich which came with old bay chips. Overall the food is delicious. I gave a 4 star, as the service has room for improvement.
