I want to start off with this place was on my list of places I wanted to visit based on recommendation. My wife and I just took a day just to go out driving around to nowhere in particular. The day got late so I looked on my google maps for my pinned places I wanted to go and we were close to Costas Inn. Got there around 8pm on a Saturday. Didn't have to wait long at all for a table and all the staff was hustling getting food to their customers. Oh yeah ALL of the staff is super nice. My waitress was EXCELLENT and ATTENTIVE to my wife and I. Now let's get into my food that I ordered. I had a bowl of the cream of crab soup and for my meal the crab cakes with salad and fries. The soup had good flavor but SUPER THICK. It was just under the consistency of a dip. It probably had sitting on the steam table for awhile and needed to be thinned out some. The crab cakes again good flavor but I could see and taste the filler in them and my fries tasted old or refried. My wife said so I guess you're not coming back uh. I said no we'll try them again but at a different time of day. I like to give places like this a second time. I used to work in the industry and it shouldn't matter the time of day but like I said we'll see on the second trip. Once again staff is great.

First time trying whole crabs and the experience was a lot of fun. We had reservations but had to wait about 10 minutes because the place was so packed. Casual atmosphere and you can tell that it's family owned and run. We tried the crab deviled eggs (yum), crab soup (meh), mussels (fantastic), crab (super tasty) and crab cakes (light, with little filler). Recommend if you're in the area, but make sure you make reservations.

Costas used to be one of my favorite spots until this past year. Instead of raising prices they serve very skimpy meals. This makes 3 times in a row I have gone in there and the portion sizes have gotten smaller but this time I seriously thought it was a prank it was that bad. I have spoken to the owners about other things like the built in 18% tip even when service is slow and flat out terrible. Pictured is the hot beef platter, a year ago it was three times this size. Perhaps they should start serving it on a much smaller plate and then it wont look like an order of gravy fries instead. The meat by the way was supposed to be medium rare, it was basically raw and you can tell even with the gravy poured on top, disgraceful they would even let this come out of the kitchen. I really wish we had not waited so long for our food, my business partner and I were running late for a meeting and I did not want to ruin his meal like mine was.

Happened to be in the area and got lucky with this stop. Started with a cup of Maryland Crab Soup then a smoked beef sandwich. All was delicious with good service, got it in less than an hour. Happy I found it, by the way the iced tea was great too.

A Dundalk staple, and the favorite crab cake of many reviewers, including Oprah, I can now see why. The service is ok, but of all the crab cakes I’ve had in my life, this is the one that most tastes like steamed crabs. I don’t know why, you just have to taste it for yourself. Not much atmosphere, so the food makes up for that. A good choice if you’re passing through.

Grabbed some crab cakes while I was in Dundalk, as you can't be that close to the bay and not get some crab! These were amazing! Huge pieces of lump crab meat and the right amount of other ingredients to hold everything together but not overpower the crab. It was a great dinner!

Excellent food and excellent staff. No wait for a table, and the food came quickly. The portions were way bigger than we expected for the price, so we ended up getting way too much food. Yes they add 18% automatically but they're very up front about it and the service is amazing, so it wasn't an issue. A couple of the things we got were kind of odd, but it's personal taste so not an actual problem. The creamed spinach was sweet and almondy which was unexpected, and the clams casino was a weird flavor combo in my opinion. Again, not a problem but something to keep in mind while ordering!

Came in Thursday Night for dinner with my coworkers. We didn’t make a reservation but we’re sat pretty fast in the dinning area. I got to have the chef’s starter for the day and Stuffed Salmon with a side of mixed veggies and mashed potatoes. The food was amazing, compliments to the Chef. The portions were worth all the hype too. Took a doggie bag home. Dominic, our server was patient and explained the menu which helped a lot as there were a lot of great choices. Definitely planning a visit back.

Grew up going as a kid when I lived in the area, then as a young adult fresh out of the Army. Just went back for the first time in over a decade and brought a group of friends. I'd been raving about the place for the past couple years as a great place to watch the Ravens game. After making the trip, I'm glad it's only improved with time; a rare case in the restaurant business. Crabs as excellent as I remember. Special shout out to our server, Chuck. He really loves what he does and it shows. He made the experience for my friends and family even better!

We came here many times, every time food and service is great. They have various specials and of course seafood is amazing. Crab cake are some of the best I had around. Calamari is always good and nice size portion to share.

Decided to have a little Labor Day outing instead of grilling or cooking. The crabs were Delicious, Meaty/Heavy, and the hush puppies were crisp with just enough softness.

Great place to eat. They really make you feel like family when you dine here. Highly recommend the Crab Cakes, Steamed Crabs and Prime Rib. The owner is so nice, as well as the other employees. Never had a bad meal. 10-stars all the way. They also have Crab Cakes to go that you can cook at home. Be sure to pick them up.

I had a delightful lunch experience at Costas Inn, and it definitely left a positive impression on me. I ordered the 8oz crabcake, and I must say it was fantastic. Unlike some places that stuff their crabcakes with filler, Costas Inn served one with minimal filler and a generous amount of delicious lump crabmeat. The crabcake was perfectly seasoned, and each bite was a true delight. Additionally, I couldn't resist trying their cream of crab soup, and I'm glad I did. It was rich, creamy, and full of flavor. The soup was a perfect complement to the crabcake and added to the overall enjoyment of my meal. The service at Costas Inn was top-notch. The staff was incredibly fast and attentive, ensuring that I had everything I needed throughout my meal. It's always a pleasure when the service matches the quality of the food, and in this case, it did. I also appreciated that the food was served hot and consistently prepared. There's nothing worse than receiving a lukewarm or poorly cooked meal, but Costas Inn managed to maintain the high standard for their dishes. Overall, I had a great experience at Costas Inn, and it's easy to see why it's a popular spot. The delicious crabcake with its generous lump crabmeat, the delightful cream of crab soup, and the excellent service all contribute to making it a place worth revisiting. I'm looking forward to my next visit and will continue to keep coming back for more of their scrumptious offerings.

I ordered from this location today for lunch as take out. I ordered one crab cake sandwich and a dessert called the galaktobouriko. The food was ready by the time I arrived and the lady behind the counter was nice. The crab cake was very good! The galaktobouriko was ok. It was kind of mushy and bland. This location has good crab cakes and I would be willing to come back to try more items.

The crabs were so good and meaty. In January I was surprised. I could tell they were fresh. Awesome waitress.

I am always looking for a good jambalaya. But I am always disappointed in the portion size. This was a HUGE portion size. So very happy with that. Flavor I give 8/10 still very good BUT very very heavy tomato paste flavor which at first is good. Ur half way through it got to be a bit much. Wish it had more or the Cajun flavoring instead of just tomato paste flavor. But still very good .

We always come here when visiting family in Dundalk. Reasonable prices and good food. Occasionally they are out of items on the menu. The Maryland crab soup is on point! Great sized portions!

This was our second time at Costa’s and it did not disappoint! The food was prepared very well and everything was delicious. Our server was Marci and she was amazing!! Our beverages were always full and she was very attentive to our needs. She is an asset to Costa’s. We took note of when she works so we can request her. Great food, great environment and best of all great service!! A++
