One of the best meals I've had in a long time. When a Baltimore native friend told me this is the best restaurant in Baltimore, I had my doubts because it's located right in the middle of a tourist area. But this place delivers. All of the seafood was fresh and expertly prepared. The cook on the scallops was perfect. They also had a great selection of wine and cocktails. Service was immaculate and the atmosphere was lively without being loud. I really wish I could have gone here more than once during our brief trip to Baltimore.

One of the best meals in Baltimore I've had. A nice variety of all the classic seafood options. We got the scallops which were perfectly cooked and moist on the inside. The calamari and crab cakes were average, wished the crabcake was chunkier and had a better texture and that the calamari batter was a bit lighter and less over fried. The lobster salad and whole fish entree were great, flavorful and light in their own ways, balanced with a bit of acid. Lobster and clam rolls were also top, clam had same issue of being very fried to not taste much clam, the rolls were all perfectly buttered and roasted. Wished there were more veggies in the mix, especially for something called a salad, but we're still not complaining, everything was delicious and clean!

We came for a weekend in Baltimore and we were recommended this restaurant and it was an amazing experience. For me the best seafood we had during the whole weekend. You need to get there early as it gets very busy. They have indoor and outdoor seating available. The bar area is also a great place to sit and watch the bartenders work their magic. Super friendly and helpful staff, everyone is making sure you have a great time our bartender was amazing and super chill on explaining the menu and giving us recommendations for the food. So yeah The food, oh my God, that was amazing super tasty and fresh seafood, we tried the oysters and they were so fresh and delicious. If you are an oyster aficionado and like them, this place is for you, they have an amazing menu with more than 10 different types of oysters. The lobster roll has been the best one I have eaten in my life, it was incredible!!! We also got the whole fish of the day, it was a good price so we tried it and it was such a flavor, they serve it with an avocado salad on top and fries and I'm telling you it was excellent!!!! We ate it down to the bones. When we go back to Baltimore, for sure this restaurant will always be on the list to go back!!! Amazing experience and I'll highly recommend it 🔥🔥🔥

Clean and vintage atmosphere, fast and chill service, phenomenal food, and excellent dessert. I really appreciated how quickly and swiftly our server took away and replaced our plates immediately with the next course arriving in less than 3-5 minutes afterwards. Our waters were refilled attentively as well. The oysters were very fresh, and the accompanying sauces were great, especially the watermelon serrano. Highly recommend the Grilled Portuguese Rock Octopus due to its complex, robust flavor profile and perfect cooking of the octopus even though it was pricey for the portion. The Block Island Scallops were perfectly seared, and it was an overall pleasant and light dish. Perfect for people looking to reduce their calories intake. Now the Cast Iron Crab Cake is hands down the best crab cake I’ve ever had in my life! Optimal amount of crab, perfect level of crunchiness, and very flavorful. One of the must-have dishes! For dessert, I got bread pudding although all the other options seemed equally as delicious. Best bread pudding I’ve ever had. Honestly couldn’t even tell it was bread. Definitely looking forward to returning to try the rest of the menu! The restaurant was packed so make sure to RSVP if you have a big party or it’s for a special event!

What a delicious surprise when exploring Baltimore! The service, the food, the interior - everything was exceptional. We will definitely be back! We ordered the octopus (small portion but really worth it), crab soup (delicious), fish and chips and crab cake (unforgettable). Highly recommend it. We went there on a Sunday afternoon (around 1:30) and we got a table right away.

One of my favorite places for lobster rolls, delicious New England dishes and raw bar. I feel like their Raw Oysters (don’t forget to add some Maryland famous condiment “Old Bay”!) and obviously Lobster Rolls with lots of butter are a “must try”. Another of my favorite dishes in the menu is the “Grilled Portuguese Rock Octopus “ simply amazing! The stewed peppers with the salsa verde on top and the charred lemon it’s the perfect combination of flavors. Calamari was very tasty and crispy. Service is always good and upscale. Great atmosphere and employees are very friendly. I definitely recommend this restaurant located in Fells Point by the waterfront, plenty of good bars and other restaurants, too. Reservations are recommended, it gets busy!

One of the best experiences I've had in the city! We read online that getting a reservation was extremely difficult, so we decided to go for a very early dinner during the week in hopes of getting seated as a walk-in. We were seated immediately, which was a great surprise. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable and kind. We asked for a lot of her recommendations, especially with the raw oyster bar, and felt like we could trust her to select choices that fit our palette. Everything was fantastic. We finished the meal with the creme brulee and hands down one of the best tasting and creamiest creme brulee I've ever had! I would come back just to order that dessert again.

This place definitely lives up to the hype! My wife thoroughly enjoyed every last bite, she said it was the best seafood meal she’s ever had. Our waitress was Theresa and she was exceptional. I don’t eat seafood, but my salad and old fashioned were great. Dessert was delicious as well. This place hit the mark on everything. We will definitely be back.

Highly recommend this restaurant. The service was excellent. The dinner was delicious, high quality, at a beautiful restaurant. Everything was top notch. My seared sea scallops and the seafood ceviche was absolutely amazing. The chocolate cream pie was wonderful too with fluffy meringue on top.

One of my favorite seafood places in Baltimore! Came here Saturday night for dinner—it’s not easy to get reservations but got lucky via Resy. We got seated right away, with a high-top by the bar. Service is great, staff were pretty friendly. Highly recommend the Lobster Roll and Cast Iron Crab Cake—both delicious!! Their Raw Oysters are great too with a good selection to pick from. I love getting Americano Oyster Shooters (vodka) as well, they mix the horseradish and cocktail sauce in there well—it’s got quite a kick to it!

If you are an Oyster aficionado then this is the place for you! A large variety of oysters and all types of fresh seafood. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and would highly recommend. We ordered the seafood tower, ceviche, calamari, grilled octopus, escargot and lobster rolls.

This being my first visit to Thames, I was pleasantly surprised. I will certainly return. The oysters were very fresh, and high quality. Though the crab cake was more minced than lump it was very enjoyable. Their old bay cocktail was an enjoyable twist from the standard cocktail sauce.

Super fast service, amazing seafood. Wife and I went to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and this place didn’t disappoint! Oysters were delicious (PEIs) and inexpensive. Lobster bisque was spot on, and the orange and grapefruit crushes were perfect. Highly recommended!

Incredible meal and nice atmosphere. I can't believe I haven't been here before! I do recommend getting a reservation (we had an hour wait on a Monday night). The wait was worth it. We tried the calamari app (yum) and three different kinds of oysters from the raw bar. Loved tasting the variety of oysters-- they were delicious. My wife and I split the lobster roll and scallops and we were not disappointed- they were amazing! Finished the meal with bread pudding (also yummy). Another person in our party got the crab cake and enjoyed it. Go here for some great seafood!

One of the best sea food dinner I’ve had. Menu was full of seafood options. The oysters were very fresh, and the accompanying sauces were amazing. Great service. I do recommend to make a reservation in advance as this place seems to be pretty famous and busy. Highly recommended!

Great dining experience! We asked a local Uber driver for a seafood recommendation, and he pointed us here. The venue lived up to the hype! Staff was really great and super knowledgeable about everything on the menus. Specifically, I wanted to call out Jay, who was an oyster expert answering questions I didn't know I had. His service was also very accommodating. The crab cakes are a must get. Perfectly crispy outside, and the crab flavor couldn't have been better! I'll add that the muscles in white sauce were insane. We had to ask for extra bread for dipping because it was that good, well worth the price! Drinks here were strong and tasty. You should realistically have a reservation, but we enjoyed our time at the bar. Place is a Greta value price wise. Overall, I give Thames Street Oyster House a 4.5 out of 5!

The overall environment is clean, and the dishes are served promptly. Despite the crowd, the service quality remains unaffected. The second-floor windows offer a comfortable view of the harbor.

Our best family first meal in Baltimore… we loved all the dishes from crab salad to escargot. Reservation was easy and restaurants located at heart of the pier. Waiter was very attentive and service was great. Will come back to dine very soon .

We were in Baltimore just for one quick night and wanted to have crab cakes, so we Googled best crab cakes in Baltimore and Thames Street Oyster House was number one on all the lists. And we were not disappointed. The crab cake was AMAZING. We also got the scallops which were incredible as well. And the Meyer Lemon Cream Pie was the perfect finish. The food could not have been better. And our server, Claudia, was the best. She was so passionate and excited about all the food and gave us the best experience ever. Could not recommend this place more.

We were so disappointed when we weren't able to get a reservation at Thames during our last visit to Baltimore, but it was worth the wait! We arrived super early for our dinner reservation and the friendly staff downstairs were able to accommodate us in their upstairs dining room. The service here was on point - our waiter was always around whenever we needed a refill or menu suggestion. We started with a couple of cocktails and appetizers. The fried oysters, steamed mussels, and calamari were all amazing and some of the best we have tried. The portions for each dish were very generous (we definitely over ordered for just two people). For entrees we both had lobster rolls and split a crab cake. It was the first time I had tried a warm lobster roll and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it. Everything was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Thames Street Oyster House is a must try for anyone visiting the Baltimore area who has a craving for good seafood

My first time in Baltimore. Went to dinner here and this place is cool. Quaint spot, friendly people. The food was excellent. Not sure what part of town this is but the street is lined with great places to hang out.

Nice place... the food was excellent. Had oysters from the raw bar, seafood salad with side of swiss chard, Maryland crab soup with short rib, whole belly clam roll, chocolate cream pie and grapefruit cardamom creme brulee. Reservations are recommended as this place is small and gets packed. They do have outdoor seating as well.

Okay, I have to give this a 5-star because I went here for their fried oysters and it did not disappoint. It was quite expensive for the 4 pcs of fried oysters, but they are by the water, so I can’t complain too much. Their green salad was great as well. I also had their fresh oysters that they shuck right there by the bar. The oysters were fresh and I got the different extreme sources to truly appreciate the taste of the oysters, from less salty and more salty regions. It was worth it. The drinks. They have local drafts and bottles. Then since it was a freezing and snowy night, I asked my bartender to make me hot drink and he gladly made an Irish coffee! That really warmed me up. I can see why they get lots of 5 stars. Food and atmosphere were great but the service was too. Highly recommended!

One of my favorite places to eat dinner in Baltimore. I recommend this place to everyone! My first time in their back patio and it had a very nice romantic vibe. Wish they would add string lights back there. The first floor is good especially bar seating but gets super loud. The upstairs is cozy and intimate- good for a sit down meal and conversation. I forgot to take photos… Will update after my next visit!

This is my favorite restaurant in Baltimore! The food is amazing! We had some oysters for an appetizer, the scallops and monkfish for entrees, and bread pudding for dessert. Everything was unbelievably delicious. I highly recommend this place! Make sure to get a reservation!

One of the nicest meals in Baltimore I've had before a concert. Shout out to Griffin for his great recommendations and accommodations A nice variety of all the classic seafood options. The restaurant is in a nice area. The service was amazing (thank you Catherine). The food was good. The calamari was my only issue. I found it bland and oily. The ceviche was good not great. The lobster roll was good ( keep in mind it’s $33). The crème brûlée was OK definitely not something to write home about. The chairs are 15 min chairs. This is not a fast food joint why would you offer your costumers these chairs? My table was also wobbly.
