Kippo Ramen did not disappoint. We stopped in on whim when another local eatery had an egregious wait time and I’m very thankful we did! The broth was so smooth and savory. The noodles had the perfect bite. I ordered mine extra spicy… and they delivered! My face felt like it was being rearranged in the best possible way — eyes watering and nose running while I happily slurped up my meal. We even got extra noodles! Yum. Will be coming back here again next time I’m in Fells Point for sure.

If you want good authentic Japanese ramen, this is the place to go. I haven't had this good of a ramen in a long time and it is very similar to what you will find in Japan. If you don't know what to get, just get the tonkotsu ramen. You can't go wrong with the pork broth and the chashu(braised pork belly) which is super soft. For appetizers the karaage (Japanese fried chicken) is worth getting. Also the takoyaki (Octopus ball), it tastes a lot better than it sounds. Both pairs well with any Japanese beer. Personally I like Kirin. The atmosphere here was great as were and plenty of seats. We had 5 adults and 2 kids and we were able to get a seat at the high table. Worth checking out. I'll definitely be back here again when I'm craving some ramen 🍜.

Tasty ramen! Wasn't the best I've ever had but I would still come back if I wanted ramen in the area because it's good. I liked the atmosphere of the place too.

Finally real Ramen I can eat! Kippo provides options of the broth. Most Ramen restaurants only offer pork based broth. However, Kippo has pork, chicken or vegetable broth options! They also offer options for noodles, including straight in addition to wavy noodles. I had the Chicken Paitan in the chicken broth which had lots of flavor. The chicken had that unique Japanese flavor and texture. The half softboiled egg had creamy egg whites. It wasn't undercooked it was cooked to be creamy. The egg white actually had flavor. I imagine since the egg whites not being hard alliw flavor from the broth to get pulled into it. Their menu of additions and sides is very reasonably priced which allows you to further customize your meal to your taste and levels of hunger.

Being a 5 min walk away, this is my go-to ramen place! I’ve tried other ramen places in Baltimore, but I have to say the ramen here trumps them all. I tried the takoyaki, beef donburi, and fried squid legs as well as the pictures below, but I do think the ramen is the best dish out of all the other dishes provided. The donburis were overpriced for what they were because there was little protein (for both eel and beef) and a lot of rice, so basically 25% protein and 75% rice. Takoyaki and fried squid legs were good but nothing remarkable. I recommend the Tonkotsu Black & Red ramen the most because it had the most distinctive flavor profile compared to the other generic ones. Edit: Came back again, and I had to lower my rating. The sushi is very overpriced for what it’s worth (too much rice, mushy, not fresh salmon) when you can get it for cheaper and for fresher quality at Nanami Sushi down the street… The service was not very good because the one waiter gives good service wasn’t here

This place is average at best. Portions are just unusually small. Flavors are okay - even the broth for the ramen was subpar and could be so much stronger. But it's rather watered down and doesn't seem like much went into it. Also if the owner reads this... There's a strong smell of something in the restaurant as soon as we walked in. It smells like body odor and it's really unpleasant. Overall, overpriced and flavors are just alright. Wouldn't come back again but if I were desperate, I'd consider dropping in.

Great place. The server was awesome. He helped us open a melon soda (we'd never seen a bottle like that), worked out the perfect spice level, and when my friend didn't want the egg in her ramen I asked if they could put it in mine and they made it happen with no problem. Definitely one of those "we can make it happen" servers instead of "we can't do that" type. And the ramen was absolutely delicious.

Always enjoy the food here. Our servers were always really pleasant. We celebrated a birthday here and brought cake. They didnt know until after we sang and cut our cake, but they sent us some ice cream dessert on the house. Definitely worth a visit.

I really enjoyed my experience here. Everything from my Spicey Chicken Ramen and dumplings, to the service, to the atmosphere was just great. It was busy in there, but me and my friend still got sat down in a reasonable time (about 15 minutes). I highly recommend this place.

Really delicious ramen, I liked it as much or even better than my favorite ramen place in NYC. The broth is not too salty and every component is really nicely flavored and textured. I slurped the entire thing down!

Not bad, but far from the best I’ve had. Sushi was very plane and not very tasty. The basic ramen was good but the pork didn’t really have much seasoning to it.

Delicious ramen! I got the sesame option and it was so flavorful! My friends got the meat options and said it was amazing. The egg is also full of flavor and cooked perfectly. Would recommend!

Food was good... I liked the potato croquettes the best. The ramen was good as well but I've had better. Noodles are very firm which many like. 🙏🏽The service from Alex was exceptional and excellent. She paid attention to details and made sure to be helpful. I truly appreciated her efforts. The seating is plentiful and the ambiance was good for a ramen shop. 🍜

The spicy edamame was so so delicious! I could have eaten two servings of it! My ramen was really good too! There was lots of flavor and the broth was tasty! My boyfriend is vegetarian and made his own ramen bowl with extra everything and it was huge 😂

I’m sorry this is all that I have. Lol I inhaled it all quickly. So very tasty!! A couple weeks before I went to Haikan in DC and LOVED the Shoyu ramen. I have heard many great things about this place and decided to see what the hype was. Everything was so great! I had the avocado salad where they thinly slice a whole half avocado over romaine. If you’re an avocado lover I would definitely recommend. I got the shoyu ramen with a side of black garlic oil and spicy oil. Got an extra egg with extra scallion too. I truly enjoyed it here! They really did live up to the hype! I don’t think it was better than Haikan in DC but I’m absolutely SURE this is the best ramen you’ll get in Baltimore.

Alex was my server here, came in to get Shoyu ramen. Alex talked me into getting the red + black pork ramen and customized it for the spicy oil to be on the side. Wow! The broth was creamy and tasteful, noodles perfect. Definitely plan on coming back. Alex was also very nice and talked to me a bit about the restaurant. It even had studio ghibli movies playing on the wall. I also had the strawberry soju here. Very good!
