Of all the times ive ordered food at that window...I've never come inside to eat! Well what a surprise to realize it was such a warm space inside with ample seating. Great food as usual and i think ill be back for more of the indoor treatment 🤣

Just solid food all around. The tater tots were soooo perfectly crispy and came with special dipping sauces rather than just ketchup. This was my first time trying Elvis Pancakes, which are apparently a real combination not unique to this restaurant, and they turned out really nicely. The peanut butter-butter that’s served on top was really good.

I am not purely vegan (yet) but I am a friend of good food. For my birthday, my friend (who is Vegan) and loves introducing me to the splendid options of living vegan suggested this place. We’ve been to a few breakfast spots in DC and Maryland. This was probably my favorite thus far for breakfast. I loved my vegan brunch experience at Golden West Cafe. Went on an early Sunday, reservation already made so seating was efficient and we could request outside. By the time we left at 12 noon, there was a bit of a crowd and a wait for indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is about 80% vegan. I enjoyed the hot honey chicken and French toast (a substitute from the waffles and a special). My friend ordered the waffle and tots. Everything was really good. OMG - the chicken was amazing, crispy and the sauce clung to it in all the right places without making it soggy. The vegan French toast was really good. I can only imagine the non-vegan version given the really good batter, bread and syrup. The service was really friendly. My friend ordered the vegan Blueberry to go and said it was really delicious. The menu is very plentiful. I could see returning and trying another option off the menu and also enjoying the venue which has a lovely laid back vibe. I hope you find this review helpful. If so, please give me a thumbs up. Thank you.

Love the vibe of this place. Went here for a date and it was great (the place, not the date sos). The decor is very cute and they were very intentional with the design. The waiter was nice and checked in often. There’s both a bar and table seating, include high tops and booths. I only have pictures of the bathroom because I wasn’t ready to tell my date I am a Google Local Guide Level 8.

Amazing brunch spot in Hampden! Exceptionally large vegan selections on menu. Lively atmosphere with vibrant and spunky interiors filled with art and paintings on the walls. Food was great with good portions. Definitely look forward to coming back

We had the brussel sprouts years ago and they were inspiringly amazing, just had them summer of 23 and they were terrible. Almost couldn't eat them, they were mushy drowning in teriyaki sauce. Chorizo breakfast sausage was amazing. I recommend getting it with the Christmas. Red and green sauce is on top. I also had them put the hashed potatoes on the side instead of in the burrito. Wife had a vegan breakfast sandwich That was amazing. Tasted really good. Even me the meat eater would order this sandwich. It was so good. Fried green tomato appetizer was supposed to be amazing but it was just okay. Sisters fake chicken sandwich (pic) was very good she said. Another time had the lox w capers omelette. Get the cream cheese on the side. Very yummy.

My friends absolutely raved about this place a year ago so we decided to give it a try. We were seated in the “lounge” where there was only a coffee table and two side tables for lunch. My friends were told to not make a mess because the stains were hard to get out of the couch and table. One positive- they were very attentive to my friends allergies! We ate massive burritos on side tables, I’ll insert a pic. The service was pretty bad honestly, we were rarely checked in on and when the chicken was forgotten on two meals, it required a different waitress to be proactive, we received it 25 minutes later. After waiting an hour for our food. Maybe it was a bad day but the experience was not great.

We visited the establishment on Friday evening. It was pouring down raining, and we had our 5 year old. Upon seating, I informed the lady that the other half of our party was running late and asked if I could please get a hot chocolate for our daughter. She was cold and wet, and I just wanted to warm her up a bit. She said, "Sure, no problem." 15 mins later, no one greeted our table. When I saw the same lady and asked about our hot chocolate, I was told, "I'm not your server." I apologized and said I didn't know that because no one had been at our table, and you said "No problem" when I requested it. Another 5 mins go by, and we finally see our waitress. I kindly ask for the hot chocolate. Another 10 minutes go by. She comes back and I ask again. "I'm sorry, I forgot." She goes and then comes back to explain how the whipped cream is served, and how it my sink to the bottom. I tell her it's fine. More time goes by, and a completely different individual comes over to explain again how the whipped cream works. Seriously? I just want hot chocolate for my cold daughter. All-in-all, it took almost 30 minutes just to get the hot chocolate. I'm not kidding. My friend asked what drinks were on tap. They're not listed on the menu out right. You have to scan a QR code that he didn't see. She said she would check and took our food order. It took an insanely long time to get our diner, and my friend had to ask again about the beers on tap. She apologized and said that she had forgotten. This would happen at least 2 more times... her forgetting something that we requested or ordered. Finally, I get my food, the Drew Special (see picture). It is a generous serving of a deconstructed burrito. The beans were unseasoned and overcooked, and they put an entire scoop of guacamole right on top of one of the wraps. It should be served with a side plate for easy assemble. Instead, you have to hold a wrap, with guacamole esscene already on it. The whole dish was incredibly underwhelming. The server never asked if we wanted another beer. We ordered a milkshake that took way too long. When my friend paid the check, he ordered another milk shake to go, which took even longer. With the wait, our server forgetting several things we ordered and the lackluster food, I can't see myself ever returning. This place seems to have consistently great reviews. The ones that are not seem to agree with everything we went through as well. Edit: Just to add, they were not very busy that night. At least not at 5:30 when we arrived.

We went to Golden West Cafe for brunch on a lazy Wednesday morning. I ordered the vegan breakfast sandwich with sausage, JustEgg and vegan cheese and a side of hash browns (pictured mostly eaten). We shared a plate of the Vegan banana walnut French toast. I had a ginormous oat milk latte to drink. Everything was delicious, especially the French toast. The service was quick and the staff was friendly. We will definitely return.

This place is amazing! First off the atmosphere is so fun and inviting. The staff are all super friendly and there are so many vegan options! I had a hard time choosing because everything looked so good but the vegan mozzarella sticks were really cheesy. The biscuits was flakey and paired perfectly with the gravy. The vegan fried chicken was huge and really crispy and juicy. You can’t go wrong with this place!

Really delicious vegan food! The Nozzarella sticks were perfect and the marinara was awesome. My partner got the vegan "shrimp" platter which was okay, although I wasn't a huge fan of the texture. I got the El Suprimo and it was so filling! Really good sandwich; I've never had vegan chicken quite like it. It was unique, filling, and tasty. The vegan milkshake was really coconutty, which would be good to keep in mind depending on what flavor you get, but it was very good with the cookies & creme and not overly sweet which I appreciated. Everyone in the restaurant was very friendly.

I’m completely obsessed with the Elvis pancakes! They even have the option of getting just one pancake for those with smaller appetites. The vibe the prices and the food were amazing! I will for sure come back.

Good restaurant in a laid back area. Everyone in the area seemed friendly. There was a large menu. The Nachos and the turkey sandwich were fresh. The sandwich was paired with garlic fries and they didn’t hold back on the garlic. It was the perfect amount for us. The Nachos were topped with the right amount of ingredients.

I’ve eaten here a handful of times and I’m never disappointed. The food is always incredible and their vegan remakes of food is always just as good if not better. There’s also a great drink menu and baked goods. Coffee is pretty good too. This is a perfect spot for any meal of the day, at any time of day. Dine in or take out.

The energy of this gem was absolutely wonderful ! Plenty of room and fantastic decor. The menu was limited and seemed more geared to please vegans which I am not lol. We went on a Friday afternoon so parking wasn't a problem but on a busy day/ night it would be. Our waiter was very attentive, that's a plus these days. I will be return when the menu has more options.

The breakfast/brunch menu is incredible! And so are the incredibly large espresso mugs. I ordered the French toast where I was given the option of blueberries or bananas and walnuts. While I don’t think you can go wrong with either, I chose the bananas and walnuts. Crispy edges and a soft center. Yum! Loved the decor, the service, and the diverse clientele in the restaurant. I’ll be back!

We started with the cauliflower wings in Korean BBQ sauce. OH MY GOSH -SO GOOD. The Brussels sprouts were also outstanding!! Vegan burger (add guacamole) plus waffle fries-very impressed. 🤤 This was the best vegan burger I have had to date. The Aztec Burito was also quite tasty + surprise plantains inside!! (No surprise if you read the menu). Will return. Would eat again. ❤️

One of my favorite places when I lived in the neighborhood, worth 5 stars. But a recent experience was 1-star so I’ll give 3. We called to see if they have outdoor dining, they said yes. The next day, we went for brunch and were told that outdoor dining wasn’t open that day. This would have been a good thing to tell us over the phone the day before. We drove 30 minutes with an infant to have brunch, and given the annoyance of how this was handled, it’ll be a while before I go back to one of my favorite places, and one that I still try to visit frequently when I’m back in the neighborhood. Do better. Make it easier for me to support your business, not harder.

My 1st experience wasn't the greatest I ended up leaving due to long wait times. I gave it a 2nd try. I really like that they have unlimited mimosas during brunch hours. There are plenty of options as well as vegan.

My second time visiting the restaurant and I must say they have it together this time around. I visited during the pandemic and the menu had many holes at the time. We ordered the vegan nachos, vegan Buffalo drummies w/ blue cheese, hot honay chick'n and waffle and a steak, egg and cheese sandwich. The nachos were delicious, could have had more cheese sauce though as they are nachos. The drummies were huge and flavored well, the blue cheese sauce was alright tasted more like ranch dressing though. I really enjoyed the chick'n that came with the waffle and the hot honay sauce, the waffle was alright, more chewy than I would have liked. My bf thought the steak, egg and cheese sandwich was decent. I know this restaurant isn't entirely vegan, but having the animal decor is really off putting to me. I love the little fig brand of chick'n so I'll definitely be back.

Looking for a breakfast spot with variety and found this ! Lots of options and an eclectic atmosphere. Lots to look at and different vibes depending on where you’re seated. And plants ! Plenty of plants Pancake selection was cool and special, nice mixes and recipes throughout. Sweet potato fries with Rosemary salt ja meant to be Huevos Rancheros and Huevos Motuleños were the main dishes. My only complaint here was with the amount of sauce/chili/beans that are smothered into the dishes. The image do justice to what you’re getting, so it’s not surprising if you get a chance to see an image. But it is a lot of sauce being pilled in.

There was a bingo game going on when we arrived. The location is decent sized but there were only five tables occupied so the volume of the mic was ridiculous and unnecessary. We had to scream to talk to each other at our table. I went with my family and the only person that truly enjoyed their meal was the one that ate salad and the burger. I had the chick’n and waffles and my FIL had a chick’n sandwich with the fried mozzarella cheese. Both of us thought the chicken tasted fine but it was too thick to eat. The waffle was pretty dense but the flavor was fine. My FIL enjoyed the fried cheese that came with the sandwich. We ordered two orders of the cauliflower appetizer which was tasty but it lacked any crunch or batter. My order had a decent amount of sauce on the cauliflower but the second had so much sauce that it was too overpowering to eat. The brussel sprouts were not seasoned well so no one in my group ate them. My hubby had fish tacos but the tortilla shell was cooked too long so they were too hard to eat. The fish itself was ok. My son had the burrito. He said it was ok but it lacked seasoning. My MIL returned her breakfast burrito. The french fries and tater tots were delicious. Overall this wasn’t the best experience for my family. We arrived at 830 and the kitchen closes at 9 so that may have been part of the problem although it isn’t a justification. Unfortunately, we wont return

Tater tots were amazing. We love the spicy mayo sauce. Goldilox omelette was amazing, the smoked salmon is perfect combined with cream cheese that made the omelette so soft and buttery. The eggplant pancake is definitely a must try. Best pancakes I have ever tried. Staff were friendly and service was quick.

This place used to be a lot better, honestly. I haven't been back since I moved out of town several years ago, and this was underwhelming. The tater tots remain good, but that's hard to mess up. The sopapilla enchiladas were pretty bad. The chicken was so overcooked it was actually *crunchy* so I just ate the beans and cheese with the guacamole. Overall, ambience is decent but I won't go back.

Best vegan breakfast we’ve ever had! Great little restaurant. Highly recommend. Non-vegan items looked great on other people’s tables

I attended this establishment for a business lunch meeting. This was my first time here. The place was full but not crowded so I saw this as a good sign. The Aztec burrito was advertised on the outside of the restaurant and I decided to go with the well known crowd pleaser (recommended by a friend as well). It was delicious and very filling. Additionally, my party ordered the cauliflower wings. They were really good! Lastly, I appreciated the thoughtful gesture of giving our table York Peppermint Pattys. A lot of vegetarian and vegan options so definitely a good choice for that.

Such an awesome atmosphere with great, friendly service. (Yay Ramona!) The classic cheeseburger was outstanding—one of the best we’ve had in a long time. Coffee was really good, and loved that the iced coffee was served with simple syrup. Love this place!!

Vibe was nice but the food was.....underwhelming at best. Always heard this place was awesome for brunch. We were there for dinner and...neither of us finished anything we ordered. Which is very unusual! Maybe our expectations were too high. Brussel sprouts were soft & soggy, vegan chicken sandwich was just OK, shrimp 'lettuce wraps' was basically a weird deconstructed salad. Not great. Maybe brunch is better.

The food is great. A lot of variety and lots of vegan and gluten free options. Great family friendly atmosphere. The vibe is very chill and relaxed. My favorite is the zucchini brie pancakes. They are amazing (I like it with regular maple syrup instead of the honey syrup it comes with)

Took a while to get our food, but it was really good. Really happy with all their vegan options! Some things to know: when getting something that says spicy, don't expect it to be very spicy at all. The sauces are kinda of balance, missing something, especially the vegan peanut sauce. Other than those minor grievances, it was really good! Favorite thing was the chocolate cheesecake on a Stick!!! Their desserts are definitely worth trying.

Had my classic meal from The West, skirt steak & brussel sprouts with tots as an appetizer. Been eating this combo forever and it never gets old; in fact it's improved with time. While I have fond memories of the place in its "Wild West" days, some amazing concerts & comedy, I do like what it has become. Excellent cocktails, delicious food, and great service.

The maple pecan old fashioned was fantastic!! You must get this if you go. We were seated at the high top tables at the bar area. The bartender/waitress was fantastic. The food was only ok not fabulous but the pecan maple old fashioned and service were so fantastic as to make everything a 5☆

This place has amazing food and staff! Just make sure you call before you plan to go. They will sometimes close the kitchen early and you won’t know until arrival. I checked their IG page before going and drove 40 mins to eat here just to find out the kitchen was closing an hour early.bummer
