I hate to leave 1 star for this restaurant this place was my absolute favorite place to go every other weekend but since last 7,8 months things are not as they use to be I always get chicken chili kabob since last 4 years so I know my taste very well.now last 3,4 time i order same thing but it’s very dry and overcooked when I try to talk to them they refused they said this how it’s supposed to be be i was like what!! It wasn’t like that before but oh well whatever.last weekend I gave this place a last try and order same thing and tell them to not over cook but still same thing over cooked. I talked again and refused to take it receptionist guy took plate inside and brought back saying this is how it should be and left plate on my table.I believe it’s under new management they don’t know how to make customer happy they don’t care they will overcook your food and don’t even take responsibility and try to make it right. Awful 😞

One of the best afghan halal restaurant I ever been in US and the best in Baltimore. All the foods are delicious 😋. Staffs are nice and friendly. Post Covid with high inflation, they had to increase their food prices but still reasonable. I highly recommend it if you are visiting Baltimore or even Washington DC.

Good food and service. Lamb kebab was done well and juicy. Chicken was a little dry. Beef wrap was pretty good. Salmon was cooked well and not dry-flaky.

This was a fantastic place to eat in a busy Baltimore area near the docks. The place is deceptively big. When you walk in you think the seating is small until you look to your left and see the abundant seating. The ordering is similar to the lines at chipotle but the food is significantly better. The burger is freshly made so I advise go there before you get extremely hungry as the start the Patty from scratch. I had the lamb and chicken bowl and it was so filling and well cooked. I was surprised at how much food I got but to be honest I was not disappointed. The mixture on the menu of Mediterranean and Afgan food was fantastic. They had a variety of bowls, (Falafel, chicken, lamb) the options are endless for vegetarians and non vegetarians alike and it was Halal to top it off. My son had the Afgan burger and I could tell by how fast he killed it that it was delicious. The second day I returned to try the lamb gyro and I was not disappointed. The wrap was done in what seemed like naan bread and not a wrap, which was different. In all honest it was probably the best lamb gyro I have had in the US. Overall this was a great place the owners were very friendly and you can tell it’s popular because their grub hub and Uber eats devices would not stop buzzing for the 45 minutes we dined there. Great work to the Kabul Fresh team.

Best halal food around. It’s situated just nearby the inner harbor. Food was excellent and perfectly cooked . Even their smoothie was perfect. Service was fast which is great . Price is average. They have restroom inside and they do have free WiFi also . They don’t have parking. You have to park in the street . It’s 24/7 paid parking. overall very good experience. Highly recommended for visitors.

The food is so good and fresh! The only thing I didn’t like is their vegetables platter and chicken over rice. They don’t have any spices at all. Their chilly chicken is the best since it’s flavorful and has nice tender chicken.

Amazing gem of an experience. The changing of offerings in adjacent shops shouldn't deter you. This was authentic and an enjoyable from start to finish. Upon entering it was rather empty. By the time the meal was finished the place was packed and it is definitely a staple locale

We ordered a to-go plate of the chicken shawarma with rice, humus, fries, baklava and naan. Overall it was not bad, the chicken had a distinct flavor and red color. Although it was not a favorite of mine, it was an opportunity to taste authentic food from the Middle East. The naan and baklava was very good.

One word: YUMMY!! It was my first time eating here so I had NO idea what to order, what the portion sizes were like, and what to expect. Y’all…..if you like middle-eastern/central asian type foods you def need to come here. It took me a while to decide what to want because they have so many options and Mithu, the cashier was very helpful with all my questions. I appreciated her customer service. Anyway here’s what I ordered: Aushuk (appetizer) and the Mediterranean platter. the aushuk platter was a FULL MEAL yall…the portion for the platter was HUGE too. I couldnt finish either one so I packed them up and will be enjoying tomorrow. :). The price for both of these was $18. Next time, I definitely want to try the lamb! I definitely recommend coming here to try the food and having a taste of a wonderful cuisine!

Really large portions. The decor is modern and spacious. You feel like you're eating in the suburbs, not downtown. We got the afghan burger, lamb kebab, aushuk, pumpkin with ground beef, baklava, ferni, pot of tea, and afghan ice cream. The entres were solid, but the desserts were fantastic! I'm really not of a fan of the plastic water bottles. Pro tip-off you order a Mango Lassi, you have to search for it in the beverage area.

TERRIBLE SERVICE! Came from out of town- waited almost an hour for absolutely nothing. Was watching from my car double parked as door dash orders went out the door while I sat there with no food. Went in to ask what was going on - patiently- considerately- no remorse about wait. No explanation or apology whatsoever. Terrible!

So I called them at 9:20pm to order my food, Keep in mind, they close at close at 10 o'clock. A young lady answered the phone and I stated can I place an order for delivery, She stuttered and said could I put you on a brief hold, While she finished the previous order she was taking( That makes no sense but let's go with it) So after being on hold for 10 minutes I hung up and called back, the automated service said that the line was busy So I guess they didn't want to deliver So close to 10 o'clock.

This. Food. Is. GOOD. That's pretty much it. It's worth it. I went all out and got the Lamb Kabob (came with rice, naan, and side salad--fantastic dish), a side of French Fries (slightly crispy outer skin, hot, and delicious), another side of Garlic Naan (soft throughout the meal--thought of saving some for leftovers but couldn't), a Baklava dessert (slightly nutty, slightly sweet, wholly delicious), and a Mango Lassi (perfect balance of sweetness--not all places get it right). Yes, I ate a lot. It was all so good. Look at my before-and-after photos, if you're doubtful. I went on a Sunday afternoon when there was a concert playing nearby at the Power Plant Live area and the restaurant still had plenty of tables open. They almost forgot my side dishes, but I reminded them. The only downside is your parking situation. There are garages nearby, and they're expensive. I was here for maybe an hour and paid $20. Ubering could get expensive, too. Walking is cheapest if you're already nearby. I'm not a local, so if there are better options, I sadly was not aware of them. Aside from parking, the food itself is worthy. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Is it the best? That's always debatable, but I don't think you'd disagree that The Kabul's menu is full of flavor and satisfaction to the max. 5/5 stars from me!

Friend recommended this place and mentioned that they have really good chicken tikka masala (or butter chicken). Although its not an Afghani dish so i thought i give it a try anyway. I went there today and tried it. Service was very quick. I took less than 5 minutes for them to bring the food out after i ordered it. The chicken tikka masala was great and very tasty. The naan is okay but the chciken masala was really good. I also tried their bakhalava at the end and that too was veey good. It was fresh, crunchy and not too sweet. Lastly the place is halal!

If you’re also looking for a place that isn’t a chain restaurant you will probably end up here. The food was surprisingly good, and I especially enjoyed the lamb. Unfortunately this place is in a really bad area. You need a code to get into the bathroom for good reason. I saw several non-customers try to get in. Some random person also came in and sat at the table next to me for the entire time I was eating. He didn’t get any food, just sat there rubbing his hands together. I’m not sure what drugs he was on.

Excellent food! The restaurant is located in one of the most vibrant places in Baltimore. And the portion they provided was also great. We took a chicken wrap, and a lamb rice bowl. Enjoyed the meal, and definitely coming back here.

Tried their afghani burger and lamb kabob platter. Afghani burger is too good and juicy. Lamb kabob was just fine as meat pieces were not soft enough rest salad and rice were on point. Will try chicken kabob someother ti.e

First time came to Baltimore . Looked many places but this place is legitimate . Ordered chicken tikka . Just unbelievable taste and quantity was sufficient . Going to order dinner as well . Though I had to wait a little but but it’s worth to wait for it . Kudos to the team .

I’m not exaggerating when I say this is the worst place I’ve eaten at. The bathrooms were filthy beyond belief. There were mosquitoes throughout the restaurant. The yogurt literally smelled like it was expired. The kebabs tasted completely undercooked. I obviously didn’t get to go inside the kitchen, but I can only imagine how terrible it was in there. I’m honestly disgusted by the level of incompetence here. Oh, and to add, the staff member at the front was not at all interested in providing guidance on our order, but was more focused on letting us know about the closing time (which was interestingly over 45 min away).

The food is honestly good; but don't order delivery from them. I'm downtown, 6 minutes from the restaurant, and the delivery driver must have taken too many orders out, and delivered to addresses well outside the city (having past my apartment on their way to the Noetheast suburbs), after my food sat in their car for an hour, I called the restaurant to cancel, and texted the driver and told them to not bother to delivering it. I was refused, and the driver dumped the food in front of my building. I'm not going to eat cold mush that I paid full price for. I don't know if the driver was a fault for taking too many orders, or if the restaurant dumped too many orders on him; but refusing to refund for food that sat in a car for an hour, when the customer communicated a refusal for the order, was not good business. I would have continued to order from them had they refunded the order. I understand things happen; but when you take too many orders, and can't deliver hot food, and the aggrieved customer cancels, you don't retain them by refusing the refund and dumping the order on the street in front of their home. I was good for 5 orders a year, but I won't be ordering from them anymore. I hope not refunding the order was worth it to them.

The food is usually good here. But this time There was what appears to be a huge piece to be a plastic bag that was cooked into my meal. I attempted to contact the store to notify them but No one picked up the phone

This place is excellent. The variety of food is incredible. I had two appetizers which I've never had before and they were incredible. When was the pumpkin base dish and the other was the spinach. The gyro platter was also great. The meat was very tender also flavorful. My girlfriend had a curry dish which she loved. I wish there was a location near Abingdon!

Tried the Afghani ice cream. It was vanilla flavor average ice cream with dates and almonds on top. Nothing special. I was expecting a hand made ice cream.

The owner or restaurant manager was so humble and friendly. Plus the food quality and taste so yummy. He also gave me a bread complimentary. I tried chicken over rice which costed 9.50$ with a can of soda too. And that too in a place like inner harbour Baltimore. Forget everything...food was awesome & filling

Good people and good eats. Food is always amazing. I live in downtown and have made an active effort to try every restaurant recommended to me. This is by far the best place for Indian/ Afghan as they serve some indian and is my go to spot for food when I want take out. I highly recommend the beef cocktail samosa and the malai chicken.

I don’t usually write bad reviews, I give people the benefit of the doubt , we came From from the kids Museum down the street. We thought we could have a quick bite and when we ordered they didn’t tell us it would take almost 30 minutes for a wrap and a kids chicken tenders. But they had other grub hub orders to get to etc. Fries were cold food was ok.

Food taste great here. Bought the Chicken Malai and the Chicken Tikka Masala. Both plates came with kabuli rice, salad, and fresh afghan bread. Had to wait a bit because the bread was freshly made when ordered. I recommend ordering 15 minutes ahead of time to avoid the wait. Too bad we couldnt dine in as the city only allowed take out or delivery at the time. Portions were a bit less than other afghan restaurants that i have been at. But, it was enough... not abundant. Good tastes and flavors for the price. I highly recommend this restaurant due to the quality of the food.
