Wow! What else can you ask for? The kind owner was in the restaurant, making sure we had a great meal. Attentive waiter (George.) Wonderful variety of foods, which is what our group needed, due to various dietary restrictions. By far the biggest, best priced, and most delicious crab cakes I've had in my life. Tremendous mousakka. Grilled octopus! Two large filets with the salmon dish. Outstanding Greek white wine. Wonderful desserts. And all at a very very reasonable price. We drove from Northern Virginia, just to go to this restaurant, and it was well worth the trip. Can't wait to be back, the next time I'm in this part of the country.

Had an amazing meal tonight. Everything was delicious and our server was the best! I don't know the official name, but the milk pie is incredible.

This is a wonderful authentic Greek restaurant, very traditional. The ambience is very homey, on Saturday night we had live Middle Eastern music being played very softly in the main dining room. The food and the wine were excellent, and the menu is extensive for all kinds of tastes. This restaurant is highly recommended!

They are closed all July, but they didn't update their hours on Google, so my wife and I drove out to Greektown for nothing. UPDATE: it's been a year and a month since our last attempted visit, and they were open this time. Their portions are generous, and their Greek food is spot on. We had the stuffed peppers and the chicken kabob and needed containers for the leftovers. Also, they gave us a little complimentary dessert, which we appreciated. The ambiance was nice with classical Greek background music.

Wonderful restaurant! The grilled bronzini was phenomenal! Some of the best fish I’ve had in the states. My father got the lamb kebab and loved it! Great staff and owner and just wonderful food. Awesome place!

Everyone i know in the area + their mom raves about it. I wanted to like it, but i think a combination of extremely slow service + my table ordering dishes with flavor profiles not to my own taste resulted in me feeling conflicted about the establishment. The dishes are clearly authentic and those who like the things we ordered (spanikopita, warm grape leaves, that flaming cheese!) enjoyed them. These dishes are not ones i personally enjoy so I can't fairly critique them. The lamb kebobs i got were fine. The side of potatoes (recommended!) Were tasty and buttery, and the string beans in red sauce were also a yummy addition. Oh, the free dessert was a lovely and (semi-) unexpected surprise! Definitely save a lil room as it seems like they do this more often than not. My largest "fair" complaint: The single waitress working the ~10% capacity dining room on the September Wednesday we went seemed like she was overwhelmed from the four or so tables she had. Disappeared for long stretches at a time, seemed flustered every time we communicated with her, and had to actually chase her down for the check. To be fair with the dining room so empty it probably doesn't make sense for the business to hire an additional server for these slow nights, but as a former waiter, it makes zero sense to me that someone would find four tables unmanageable. It seems like it is not a new issue either as before we went i was told by others to prepare to wait. To be clear: i "like" this place and would absolutely not discourage others from going - but be prepared for slow service 😊

I have been coming to this restaurant for 60 years. It is my absolute favorite when visiting friends and relatives in Baltimore. Came in for lunch on Saturday and had an excellent meal and excellent service, as always. We all enjoyed our various meals and starters we are so thankful for the experience. Lamb, salads, baked cheese, all excellent. This is the first time we were not served a small plate of complimentary desserts (I wonder if they have stopped this treat), but that does not take from the wonderful experience of eating delicious Greek food. Please try Ikaros. I think you will start making it one of your favorites.

No words can describe both how delicious and amazing and warm the service was. I found Ikaros online as a place to go for my birthday and thabk God I did. I am from Miami, where there are excellent Greek places and I’ve had the fortune of eating Greek food in Greece itself. I told Patricia, our hostess that hands down, this mom and pop Greek place in Baltimore had THE best Greek food outside of Greece itself. This is no hyperbole or exaggeration. We ordered many different mezes; stuffed grape leaves (Dolmas) with a sort of bearnaise sauce drizzled on top. The Taramosalata was exquisite, a must have. Our octopus was so tender it was practically buttery and full of flavor. This plus their eggplant salad, sardines in olive oil and pasticcio, which I had to go was absolute Top Chef quality food. I told Patricia to please convey to the chef just HOW extraordinary our meal was. If all this weren’t enough, upon learning I’d arrived to eat on my birthday, Patricia secretly surprised me with a mini baklava cape with a candle and she along with other sang me “happy birthday “. This restaurant and its staff essentially adopted me as one of their own for a day, my birthday, and made myself and my mother feel like family. I will NEVER forget this not their warmth and generosity, and did I mention the INCREDIBLE food!?!?!? I could go on, and I just may when I visit again just for the food and the attention and warmth of Patricia, the chef and the staff of Ikaros. I can proudly say this Greek place in Baltimore ranks as one of the BEST places among the many I’ve been to all over the world and Ikaros can hold its own to any restaurant, Greek and otherwise. Thank you again Patricia for such a wonderful birthday lunch!!!!

This Past week My husband passed away and we had his luncheon after the funeral at Ikaros. Xenos was kind enough to open the restaurant, even though they’re closed on Tuesdays! The food was amazing and so was the service,I can’t find the words to thank Xeno and his staff for the wonderful job they did! It was greatly appreciated!

Had a great experience here. The spanakopita was slightly oily but perfectly crispy/flaky with a great fresh filling. The lamb kabobs were juicy, flavorful, with a lemon sauce that wasn’t too heavy over the potatoes, and string beans cooked with tomatoes that were very tasty without being soggy. There was a bit of excess oil on the plate but very forgivable. The server Maria was very kind and friendly, gave great recommendations, and even provided me with complimentary baklava when I found out I had to leave early for a meeting. Will be coming again!

I tried their Spanakopita, Stuffed grapevine leaves and their Greek coffee. All of them were fantastic. The staff was so sweet. They even gave us their desserts for free, for us to try! Great experience. Would love to go back there

Took my family here last night. Best meal we had in a long time! My wife had the whole fish, I had the lamb chops, my daughter had the mosakka and her fiancee got the chicken. Every dis was masterfully crafted. Very, very authentic. We visited Greece a few years ago and this place is better!

IKAROS was one of the best Greek restaurants I've had the opportunity to dine. Great family-friendly environment. Staff was attentive but not pushy. Menu was incredible with a plethora of options for those that are vegetarian or with special dietary needs without having to make guests feel comfortable ordering. We dined with a large group. Menu options were descriptive enough to move the ordering along. most were accommodated without the usual delay associated with a food type outside their comfort zone. Both my wife and i had the lamb items. They were amazing. Many had fish.. all items were well presented and wonderfully seasoned without being overwhelming. Kids menu was extensive, and high chairs were available. Highly recommend

Not just the best authentic Greek Restaurant in Baltimore, but the best crab cakes in Maryland. It's been our family GO TO restaurant for 50 years. Zinos and Ted make you feel like you're eating on the Plaka.

My family has been coming here for 30 years. Very good food. I think covid time has had to get a little bit run down. But the food is exceptional

We had a birthday dinner here for my mother's 75th. Everything was perfect! The food was delicious and atmosphere is so beautiful. The staff took such great care of us. We called ahead and pre ordered with a large party. Things came out exactly as ordered, even a few special surprises. Ikaros Staff - Thank you for making this a wonderful and memorable evening. - Amy
