Very sad experience trying to eat here! Saturday night, we had a 6:00pm reservation, hostess wanted to seat us next to another couple about 8 inches apart. Over half of the restaurant was empty, my wife and I asked to move to another 2 top table and the hostess stated they were reserved. We stated that we have a reservation and no one else was there. She politely asked if we would like to speak with the manager, we said if you want us too or you can just seat us over there. So we waited for 5 minutes for the manager, again very polite said those tables were reserved, and we said for who there is no one here, then she said they put them together to make larger tables, the problem is they are oval! So we were going to leave and the hostess says, wait we will seat you there but we have to bring the server over and we cant guarantee the service will be all that great. I said this is absolutely ridiculous, you just said they were reserved and now they aren't and we will have bad service because we just opened in Baltimore. All this took about 10 minutes and still no one else came in. We would have loved to eat there, however no thanks after being Lied too and absolutely unaccommodating when the restaurant was half empty on the busiest night of the week! so we went to Gordon Ramsey's and it was amazing!

Stopped in for brunch around noon on Sunday. Bottomless Mimosa's and Bellinis for $20, can't be beat. I had the Chesapeake hash which taste incredibly like my grandmother's crab soup minus the broth, all the way to the Bay leaves with over easy eggs on top. I could barely eat half in one sitting. Great clean place to hangout and catch up with friends, plenty to do and see in the attached casino. Staff was pleasant and accommodating.

Celebrating our 31st Wedding Anniversary at GDL Italian for the 1st time was truly an unforgettable experience. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with such flair with attention to details and with my favorite colors of all time - RED! It really felt like 'Home' from the moment we arrived and the second we left because we took advantage of lounging ourselves in a lovely 'Living Room' seating area with an open-concept after dinner. And...the photo booth?! What a delightful idea to have it in the restaurant! We had so much FUN taking our pictures! Last but not least, the food we ordered was all mouth-watering DEE-LISH...It was like having a party in our mouths! All the staff was friendly and very welcoming, especially our waitress, Sloane. She was very warm & did an exceptional job with a smile. All in all, our whole experience at GDL Italian for our 31st Anniversary was truly wonderful. It WAS a perfect place to be for an Anniversary Date Night!

Here are the highlights: Waited for table despite reservations for a large group (14)because they had seated a party where we were supposed to be seated...in a half empty restaurant Hostess ruined the surprise for our friend when she said "oh, yeah, your party is waiting for you right there" and she knew it was a surprise Appetizers were excellent Many entrees were either cold, flavorless, salty, especially the chicken piccata Although the restaurant was nowhere near full, the entrees came out 2 at a time over 10 minutes, cold, there is plenty of staff, and the open kitchen was 50 feet away The kitchen manager kindly asked for feedback, sent several excellent desserts gratis, and some free drinks. Conclusion: Excellent apps and desserts, uneven service, poor communication amongst staff, entrees are the worst part of the menu. I'm wondering if they are content to feed the gamblers at the casino with no interest in upping their game.

My wife and I stopped by the night before our cruise. Being a big fan of Giada, we were hoping we weren't disappointed and we weren't. Upon entering, the restaurant had a very nice, open, warming and welcoming ambiance and appeared very clean. We were quickly and courteously greeted and seated. Upon being seated, we were quickly and courteously greeted by our waitress, Carley. She was very friendly and knowledgeable with the menu. Also, her assistant server was very nice as well. We ordered the crab appetizer which was excellent! My wife had the chicken parmesan and I had the Tuscan ribeye. Both were prepared perfectly, had a very appealing appearance and were very flavorful. We also tried the triple sides: corn, potatoes and broccoli. All were prepared perfectly and were excellent. our waitress and assistant waitress continued to check on us periodically throughout the meal but were not overbearing. Overall, we were extremely satisfied and would recommend this restaurant. Our overall review is: Service - 10 Cleanliness - 10 Speed - 10 Quality - 10 Value -10 Overall dining experience - 10

Our service was great the food was even better. We sat at the bar and had a delicious meal coupled with creative cocktails. I had a drink called the “card player” which Hennessy is the main ingredient supplemented with amaretto, pineapple juice, and lemon garnish. Unreal. Can’t even tell you’re drinking henny. Our appetizer was the crab cakes, must get. Our dinner consisted of chicken parm and a Parmesan crusted pork job. Both were great. The pork chop is cooked to perfection which now allows a tiny bit of pink on the outter edges, I was new to this so inquired about it and the chef insured me it was fine. Will certainly be back. Love the ambiance and everyone we encountered at the bar was great, especially Stephanie.

Everything was really good. Service was also really good. The food was really unique. The Italian crabcake was really good, but be warned, don't expect a Maryland crabcake; If you have an open mind you'll enjoy it. The zeppoles were the best part. We did the side sampler. They were all good, but I don't think I'd want an order larger than what came in the sampler. The pork chop was real good. In general the flavors have an extra dimension.

Great service and atmosphere. Little lacking on the food. A lot of lemon in things. If you like that you will love this. Be ready for some hits and misses. I liked the short ribs and meatballs but not really the bread or dessert. A little pricey but you are at the casino.
