A very cool place to be at. If you're in Baltimore, definitely check out out. The meat lovers quiche was a bit over salted but my boyfriend's quiche lorraine was perfect. I liked their coffee as well. The atmosphere is nice and welcoming.

They've fallen off since COVID-19. I ordered a turkey club a sandwich served on a baguette something I've previously ordered and mine was clearly stale. Normally the pastry case is full of deliciousness, now not so much. When I saw flying insects in there and on the pastries I let the barista know and he asked me if I wanted anything from the case.🥺😳🙄

The spinach quiche was creamy, crunchy and delicious. The soup was scratch made and a grey healthy option. Coffee menu was impressive and the cortado was great. Friendly staff, quick service- all around good experience.

Very hype we found a place with a Marocchino in the states. We had one in Europe and have been hunting them ever since lol. Menu had a good variety and the food looked good as well. 12/10 would go again next time we’re in town.

Did not have a good experience at this cafe. The server was nice but the lady at the cash registeryvwas very rude. She was having difficulty understanding alteration in our sandwich and couldnt help but say it out so loudly "your alteration makes it difficult for me to charge it precisely" . I mean who says that to customers? All we had requested to alter was remove tomatoes from their sandwich. The food is mediocre and charges are high for the quality of food. Coffee is good.

I absolutely LOVE the pastries here! I pick up several to share with friends and neighbors frequently– everyone is so excited when they see Cafe Poupon's familiar label on the bag/boxes. The croissants and their pasty dough are perfectly buttery, not too sweet, and flaky/crispy (I think it's my favorite in the city so far). The staff is always very sweet and works hard. The interior of the shop is cozy. The store might be easy to accidentally walk past, as it's a narrow storefront at 225 N Charles St, but it's worth peeking inside! there is limited indoor and outdoor seating in the cafe and patio, respectively, but if you want to bring a book you're able to order and relax for a little you should be able to find space.

Cute cafe. Coffee connoisseurs work the counters and craft the brews and make the pastries...it all tastes good. The menu is in French, so if you're like me and don't know diddly squat about the language, ask someone what is what. They don't exactly smile at you when you walk in, but they're friendly enough. The place has dining inside (masks preferred at time of writing) or a small area outside the side entrance with a few cute tables for people to sit. The bathroom has been "out of order" for the past few weeks (I've been to Cafe Poupon twice recently), so maybe go elsewhere if you need to, you know. Also, a little thing to note: the outdoor area doesn't have a trash can nearby (that I noticed) so you have to go back inside to throw away garbage. Not a big deal obviously, but if you're outside eating/drinking and then want to leave, you have to go back inside the side entrance and walk all the way to the far end of said entrance to find the trash, then walk back out the side entrance. Like I said, a little thing, but kind of inconvenient. The coffee and pastries are decent. Macarons, madeleines, cookies, etc. I've had a cappuccino and a macchiato so far. Not bad. The pastries I've had have all been on the slightly cooled side, as opposed to freshly baked. Overall, I like the place, but personally prefer other nearby cafes. 4/5 stars

Great little place I’ve been meaning to get to for a while. Got the ham and cheese croissant and fraisier. Absolutely perfect! Will be back!

I've been here a couple of times and it's definitely a pleasant place to grab a coffee or dessert and can be romantic if you're a Francophile. The people working there were always very friendly and would offer explanations or recommendations when needed. There are quite a few dessert and food options, but almost all of them are small portions (by American standards) which I suppose is par for the course. Despite the portion served, most everything I've tried has been flavorful and a delight to eat. My only criticism, and it's purely subjective, is there aren't many breakfast options that don't involve eggs and some kind of meat. To clarify, I mean this place appears to serve snack foods in that there aren't actual meals. They have quiches, but they are small. Everything is all prepared and they don't actually serve to order. If you want a quiche or dessert they will heat it or just plate it, then serve it to you. It's probably a good business model but limited to the customers. Also, the jug where you dispense water does so very slow into small glasses. If you're like me and drink a lot of water, then you'll end up going back to refill your glass several times and gets annoying.

Really liked this small cafe. Hidden entrance on the side felt like I stepped out of Baltimore when I entered. Very friendly staff. Had the best latte since I owned my own coffee shop years ago. Very good croissant, fresh and flaky. Excellent job Cafe Poupon!

I've visited here twice so far. The salmon sandwich is great for lunch, the bread has the perfect balance of crusty outside and soft inside. The macarons and fruit tarts are also delicious. The inside was fairly quiet, so its a nice place to study or relax while eating.

I ordered the Fraisier. Not sure if I spelled that correctly. But it was a strawberry cake filled with “FRESH” ingredients. They definitely put lots of time, effort and professionalism into this cake when they made it. It’s similar to a strawberry shortcake. I preordered this a few days in advance. I showed up early. And it was ready to go. I’m looking forward to trying their cafe items (Coffee, Danish, Cookies, Sandwiches).

I let a friend try my Napoleon before I did and quote "It has potential to be good." I am not as hopeful as my friend. No taste, no texture, and tastes like a stick of butter... Not in a good way. The coffee is burnt. The prices are very unreasonable. Don't go here.

My favorite is their strawberry cake. So delicious and flavorful. Price isn’t friendly though. Abigail at the register was awesome. She deserves 20% tip!

Little hole in the wall compared to it's cohorts on the street. A bit scruffy- looks like they are remodeling but we're here for the coffee right? At this point then it's all about the coffee and the barista and they are both pretty decent. Cappuccino has a nice mouth feel. Thick. Not marshmallowy. Not thin and dry. Sometimes you can tell if the brew was over ext'd but this was good. Nice quiet place to chill at eight am after a night Lindy hopping. Steely Dan playing in the background.

Wonderful variety and quality of baked goods and pastries. Limited parking but it’s understandable. Will be back!

I love this place, the food, the service and the relaxing vibe. I just want them to be open later in the evening one night during the week and on Sunday mornings. They close at 3 and are not open at all on Sundays. They would probably have a lot of locals and their guests coming for a Sunday cappuccino and breakfast breakfast or Sunday goodies. A hot chocolate after an evening walk in October, November or December would be wonderful.😁

Cafe Poupon has always been my favorite choice for in-person coffee meetings downtown. Their coffee and baked goods are so yummy, and I've always enjoyed their lunch menu. Of course, with the changes brought about by Covid, things have shifted a bit; their menu is now a bit smaller, and they've stopped using those charming glassware. However, it's nice to see things gradually returning to normal.
