at
an
event
we
rolled
the
dice
for
lunch
and
were
fortunate
enough
to
find
Villagio’s
Cafe.
Started
with
the
Homemade
Doogh
(yogurt
drink)
and
Bottled
(Carbonated)
Doogh.
To
quote
our
wait
staff
“they
are
an
acquired
taste”
I
did
not
acquire
the
taste
while
my
wife
enjoyed
the
Doogh,
I
did
not
enjoy
the
Carbonated
version.
Don’t
expect
anything
sweet.
Very
salty.
No
fault
of
the
restaurant
just
a
taste
thing.
Sometimes
being
food
adventurous
does
not
pay
dividends.
The
rest
of
the
adventure
was
amazing.
We
shared
the
Appetizer
Platter
which
consisted
of
Hummus,
Baba
Ganoush,
Dolmeh,
Mast-O-Khyar
dip,
Veggie
Olovieh,
and
Shirazi
Salad.
A
little
taste
of
a
lot
of
appetizers.
Everything
was
fresh
and
tasty.
So
very
good.
We
continued
our
sampling
with
the
Anneslie
Family
Tour
which
was
made
up
of
a
combination
of
chicken
shish,
beef
shish,
and
lamb
koobideh.
Meat
was
seasoned
wonderfully
and
sat
on
top
of
a
bed
of
golden
rice.
Service
was
friendly
and
efficient.
We
are
outside
under
the
pergola
and
enjoyed
a
sunny
afternoon
of
great
food.
