Poor experience. Will not return. The best thing about the birthday dinner was the egg rolls, which were more like spring rolls by size and the complimentary birthday cheesecake. The guests of the party wanted to take pictures outside off of the lake and were told by the owner to “slide down so the people eating inside won’t get distracted or see them while they take pics”. I referred my cousin to this restaurant based on the outdoor view and nice picture potential. She was upset what she was told and did not want to go back outside to take pics, even after I said I would speak with the owner. We ended up taking pictures in the ladies room and out front in the parking lot. No good. The food was bland (steak, herb roasted chicken breast, vegetables), overpriced, and was not hot when it came out. We did not want to overwhelm the server who forgot a drink or two along the way. They had no mac and cheese which was also alarming. Several members of the party wanted that as a side. Another thing that was noticed was the split dining with African Americans on the more dim lit side with the view of the tent outside and Caucasians on the side were the nice view could be observed outdoors. This is the same side where the birthday girl and a few friends were told they couldn’t take pictures outside, even after the hostess and waiter said they could. I guess the owner didn’t want those patrons being disturbed while eating? Why should they be focused on what’s going on outside anyway if they’re supposed to be eating. Weird. Either ways, we won’t be back. None of us.

I’d really like to do 3.5 stars. The service is always fantastic. My calamari was tasty. I recommend. My lobster bisque was horrible. I do not recommend. I was done after two spoonfuls. My husband’s Kansas City steak and mom’s roasted chicken met their expectations.

This place deserves 10 stars! The food was delicious, the ambiance was unmatched! We had the sea bass, lamb chops, and a steak. We had a wonderful time here aside from our server charging our card with someone else’s meal which was almost 3 times more than what we spent. Will return but will avoid that server if possible.

Where do I start first? The wonderful attentive staff, or the flavorful and savory items on the menu? Definitely a whole five! I thoroughly enjoyed my mind visit! And they made me feel extra special for my birthday!

Very nice restaurant, good service. Food was very good except the Tuna Tartar. The Calamari was the best I have had in Baltimore, light and tasty, our Sword fish was perfectly cooked, and the sauce and garnish perfect. The Filet was perfectly done and tender, garnish and presentation was outstanding .

On March 3rd, my husband and I dined at Citron to celebrate our 15th year of marriage. This was our first time dining here, so we didn’t know what to expect. We were satisfied by our dining experience. The ambience was the prefect setting. The food was very satisfying and the service was great. I especially loved how the owner connected with everyone. We will be back to visit soon.

WOW! I could not speak enough great things of this place! The restaurant in itself is STUNNING, every section is beautiful and serene in its own right. The food was top tier; we loved the calamari and the Anglotti Ricotta Pasta - it was incredible! The owner was in and made a point to stop and chat with us, he was just lovely! He gave us his personal recommendations for dessert and was very conversational and engaged in our story. You absolutely get what you pay for with the entire experience at Citron. We’ll 1000% be coming back with more friends and family, soon!

We came here for the first time for drinks at the bar and were immediately welcomed by the owner (Charles) with a friendly conversation like he had known us for years. He expertly recommended his favorite drinks and snacks which was completely unexpected. Being from out of town we were disappointed we couldn’t make this our go to spot for celebration or just a dinner date night spot, but would recommend if you live in the area to make it yours.

Citron catered and hosted a celebration I planned for 40 people. The pros: The restaurant was beautiful with high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows, the food was fine, and Charles made every attempt to be accommodating to my wishes. However, many of the details we discussed and he agreed to were not honored day of at the event. For example, I explicitly requested leaving pitchers of water left on the table so guests could refill their own waters without disrupting and distracting from the programming, and that the desert was set up on the side for people to take their own, rather than table service, but neither happened. In the end, I felt like Charles buttered me up and ultimately executed his own plan rather than honoring the specific requests and decisions that I knew were best for the event, and that Charles did not deliver on his promises to me and discussions and decisions were disregarded.

Simply amazing. From the ambiance of the restaurant to the phenomenal service from our server Jonathan to the food it was all excellent. We will definitely be back. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation to Citron. You’ll be glad you did.

I'm not sure I count as a real review because I was there for a private event..but the food was fabulous..had 8 oz crab cakes and the butternut squash soup was divine. Our party was in the Cove room...I can imagine in the summer it would have been even nicer .The lady Donna that works there treated us very nice...Room holds about 50-70 people...maybe more. On a regular night that meal runs $100 dollars so have deep pockets and take on a special date!

Team Holiday gift exchange was here I had the Ossobuco it was phenomenal . Atmosphere was a winter wonder land and there was intimate areas near a fireplace if you needed more private setting . Although it was cold some folks was still out on the deck looking at the lake and mingling there was comfy furniture , table , and heaters out there as well. Very Elevated space that makes you feel Amazing and Successful in your own right. The price is worth it, it's not only well seasoned delicious food it a whole MATURE vibe . Real cutlery , dishware , and glasses,linen table clothes and fresh cut flowers on the tables need I say more

We celebrated our 30th anniversary with diner at Citron. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The food was great. My husband had the 14 oz New Strip and I had the chicken breast. Both were cooked to perfection. He also started with Sashimi and I started with the chilled shrimp, both were delicious. Autumn, our server was wonderful, offering suggestions without being pushy. She was attentive to our every need. This is a must visit restaurant

The ambiance was wonderful. The overlook of the lake was so relaxing. We are celebrating 10 years of marriage and our server Sarah C. was excellent. The Calamari was one of the best we have had at a restaurant.

Overpriced and not commensurate with your food. We ordered 2 Salads for $53 and 1 iced tea. When asked about bread for our salads the waiter said they charge for bread due to Covid-19. I WAS CONFUSED. Just a way to get more money. AFTER THAT WE DECIDED TO LEAVE AND dine elsewhere. WE WILL NOT RETURN OR RECOMMENDED. WHAT RESTAURANT CHARGE FOR A TRANSACTION FEE. Citron is struggling so they will.

The owner made us feel like vips! The food was top notch. The service was phenomenal! We were a party of four and the owner, Charles asked us if we would like to move to a better seat and then made us feel incredibly welcome as though we were part of his family.

My boyfriend and I had the most wonderful valentines dinner last night at Citron. From the second we walked in we felt so welcomed. The atmosphere was classy yet comfortable and the food was amazing. Great service! We will most definitely be back again!

Don't enjoy getting swiped down for mediocre food. Prices are crazy for no reason. Of course the ambiance is nice but so what. I can feed my family for two week vs one night of dinner. The sad part is I knew better and still went there. No thanks. Oh and they won't let you order a steak medium well. Only medium and well done. Who does that smh.

My husband and I dined at Citron for my birthday and the experience was none like we ever had before in a restaurant setting. The customer service was superior and the owner of the restaurant came to our table to check on us and to make sure we were enjoying our food and our experience at his beautiful restaurant. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking good food, great ambience and amazing customer service.

Our visit was for a private party and the service and atmosphere were both lovely. Matzoh ball soup was cleverly served in a stemless martini glass accompanied by a tasty glazed pecan and heart of palm salad. My only criticism is the soup was not very hot, but very tasty. The entrée of swordfish was perfectly cooked and a very thick cut of steak is Going to be forever remembered as the best sword fish I have ever eaten.

Citron rose to one of my favorite restaurants immediately! I enjoyed a beautiful meal, while watching a beautiful view and being serenaded by a beautiful woman who frequents the location: not only was love in the air as was the fresh breeze off of lakeside! The food was amazing! My eyes were bigger than my appetite but even a taste of the crab cake was worth the buck! The owner was so personable I feel I’ve found a friend in him! Thank you the experience!

The customer service here is excellent ! I put together a little surprise dinner for my best friend & Citron came through with helping me with the surprise. Also, the custom cake they made & food was amazing !!! Thank you for everything you guys did again & s/o to the owner for not sitting behind the seats like typically owners but actually being apart of your team ! I love to see that .

Our experience at Citron was amazing!!!! The waiter assigned to our table was Johnathan and he was great!!!! We didn’t take pics or the food considering we are foodies and we always take pics lol but we did take a pic of our receipt to remember all the the things we tried so we will know what to try differently next time. The mussels were delicious and the steak and Atlantic bass were cooked to perfection!!!! We had no complaints and will definitely be back SOON!!!!

If you are anywhere in the area or close by, you must try this restaurant. My friends and I ate here on my birthday--Sunday, July 17. The restaurant does not open until 4pm. I made a reservation in advance, which required credit card information to hold the reservation. This place is tucked in between a huge lake and a small outlet containing a few shops/cafés, so there is plenty of parking nearby. Not only is the surrounding area beautiful and quite, the atmosphere on the inside is peaceful and elegant. I am grateful that it wasn't crowded the day I went, so I was able to enjoy my birthday dinner without interruption. Our waiter was knowledgeable and very attentive. The owner stopped by at one point and engaged in conversation with us for awhile, which was very refreshing. Although the portions were small and a bit pricey, the food was good. I will definitely be back soon, maybe for a date night next time.

The atmosphere and decor is always nice and elegant. Brookski was our server and was pleasant, attentive, and gave detailed information about the menu items. The food is fresh and plated nicely. In my opinion, the menu items are overpriced.

The food tastes amazingly fresh and the presentation is astonishing. Beautiful layout in the restaurant but we really enjoyed the seating outside on the lake. Staff was very friendly. The owner always walks arounds to the tables and also assists the staff when it’s busy. Our waiter Joe is great as always . He’s knowledgeable about the menu and always gives great recommendations.
