My wife and I are visiting Baltimore from Florida and were excited to get some local seafood (especially crabcakes). We were told that G&M was the place to go and we were not led astray. I ordered the G&M burger cooked medium. It was delicious and cooked perfectly. The steak fries that I ordered as a side were amazing. My wife ordered the salmon. It was cooked perfectly and she loved the bourbon honey glaze. We also ordered the crab cakes to go and they were well-worth the price. They were massive and scrumptious. We spent about $100 but that was for three meals, an app, and a drink. We had plenty of leftovers and they were just as good the second time around. While there I ordered a Heavy Seas Loose Cannon IPA and have found my new favorite local brew. Our server was awesome. She was attentive and helpful. We enjoyed the atmosphere and will be sure to come here again. If you're in the area, stop in for incredible food whether you like seafood or not. You won't be disappointed.

Amazing crab cakes, a must visit for authentic maryland crab cakes! They are big and so flavorful. The oysters were great and shucked well. The desserts are out of this world. Highly recommend!

Great seafood restaurant, my family loves coming here. Everything is delicious. I've had the cream of crab and the onion soup. They're both phenomenal. The crab cakes look like baseballs, they are huge! And delicious. The crab stuffed shrimp and oysters are the bomb. Not only have I returned, we've been back more than a few times and we always enjoy ourselves. Top notch service, our waitress was super kind and efficient. The bathrooms are clean and the bar is immaculate. The cocktail I had was made with peanut butter and jelly Flavored liquor, but it was surprisingly enjoyable. 10 out of 10 for me.

Took a party of 7 to G&M on a Friday night without reservations. Luckily it was only a 25 minute wait. The place is known for its crab cakes, however, no one ended up with a crab cake as an entree but we did get the crab cake sliders as an appetizer. Good crab cakes but the mustard and mayo are equal to the crab flavors. The calamari was delicious. I ended up with the spicy seafood pasta (a diavolo) and it was surprisingly spicy. I love spicy and normally "restaurant spicy" isn't really much at all, but, this dish brought the heat and it was perfect. All other diners said their food was cooked perfectly. No complaints here, very delicious. Service was attentive.

Fantastic seafood meal at G & M Restaurant. I've been eating G&M crab cakes for a while now from getting them at their premade carryout store. This was the first time sitting down and eating at the restaurant so I could expand my options to the overall menu. First off, the menu is massive! A lot to choose from so it should satisfy almost any seafood lover's desire. My wife is not a fan of seafood and there are some pretty decent options for non-seafood folk too. I had the seafood platter. Crab cake, baked oyster with another crab cake smothering it, scallops, shrimp, and flounder! Yum all around. Everything was cooked to perfection. The crab cakes are amazing here. It makes ordering crab cakes anywhere else plain disappointing. My son had the stuffed shrimp aka two butterflied shrimp covered in two giant crab cakes...win-win! My daughter had the salmon, which was prepared very well. My wife had the Farmer's Fettucine, which was actually very good considering it wasn't covered in crab cake. Overall wonderful meal and due to the COVID-era we are in right now, it was not even busy. The server said that it would normally be complete packed and long wait times so I'm glad we were fortunate enough to go and enjoy a fantastic meal without the chaos of a busy Friday evening.

We were there 12/23 around 3:30p and surprisingly it wasn’t very busy. Ordered Crispy Zucchini Chips as appetizer, special Stuffed Rockfish entree and husband got 2 Crab cake entree. Brought out two yeast rolls first. Appetizer arrived like warm and there was nothing crispy about them - this was after about 45 min. It was 80 minutes before waitress came over to tell us my Rockfish was given to someone else who had eaten it, lol. Another 20 min before we finally got entrees. The crab cakes were good as was were the garlic herb mashed potatoes. The sauce on the Rockfish was only on the crab cake it was wrapped around so the crab cake was wet and the fish as dry. Rarely saw waitress which is probably why she didn’t catch it any sooner. Gave us a free $5 dessert. We had water to drink. Meal cost $105 plus tip. We’d been there maybe 10 years ago and remembered fondly. Don’t think I’d go back - would try a different place next time we wanted crab cakes.

I love this place! I always make a point of coming here when I'm in town. The crab cakes are the best... in the world! Even though all the other menu options are delicious and you can't go wrong, I always order the crab cakes. The service is top notch. Don't forget to order a bowl of Maryland crab soup. It's great for dipping the bread, too.

Great menu with a wide selection of seafood options. The wait staff assigned to our table had her hands full so the service wasn't as quick as it might have been. The atmosphere was convivial and classy, with proper silverware and cloth napkins. It is a restaurant that invites one to linger, to enjoy a leisurely meal and to relax. The restaurant also offers a huge variety of desserts and post prandial aperatifs. Highly recommended!

The bar service was fast and friendly. The crab cake was the best I have ever had! The garlic masked potatoes were delicious as well. Maryland crab soup is like a vegetable soup with shredded crab added to it. Not my favorite, but that's because I'm not a fan of tomato based soups. My wife loved it.

Took my wife there for her birthday. Been awhile since we’d been there. Crab cakes and stuffed flounder were amazing. Had the stuffed mushrooms for appetizer, the limps of crab meat were perfect. The service was great, you can tell it’s run very efficiently. Can’t wait to go back.

The host was a little off putting, passive aggressive in a way. But I Pushed through and I am so happy I did. Let’s start with the cream of crab soup. One of the best I’ve had in a while. I HIGHLY recommend. Our waiter was absolutely great. He was very attentive and came by frequently to check in. Their drinks are strong! Just an FYI. I enjoyed my time there. It’s a bit expensive but well worth it.

Best place to eat crab cakes, and if you love New England Clam Chowder, then this place is amazing. First time here on a friend's recommendation, and he did not disappoint. It was worth the trip from Virginia to Baltimore because that's where our flight was leaving from. 5 Star service all the way around. Can't wait to return later this year! Thank you G&M! Happy holidays!

I’m always on the hunt for great crab cakes in the area and G&M lives up to its claim of “Worlds Best”! Their jumbo crab cakes are packed full of fresh flavor and leave you feeling very full. The surprise show stealer was the desserts though. My table ordered a variety of cheesecakes and everyone agreed they were the best they’ve had in forever with an even more amazing cheap price!

I love coming here for carry out for the crab cakes. The quality and taste and size are right up there with the very best in Maryland. For lunch the 4 oz crab cake sandwich is the perfect size. The fries are The big thick type. The service was quick and easy to order on their website. When I got to the restaurant to pick up my order the lady who served me was pleasant and my entire experience was good. I ordered my crab cake on a Kaiser roll and it came on rye bread however that wasn't a deal killer I still loved my lunch.

This restaurant should definitely be on your checklist to stop at if you all right and the Baltimore / inner harbor area. My husband and I stopped in for their famous crab cakes, and we were certainly were not disappointed. My taste buds started doing a happy dance! This is a casual lounge restaurant and bar with a section set aside just for their takeout. This restaurant is in the pricey range but after you taste the crab cakes and their other seafood offerings, you'll find that it was worth every penny spent! The next time I visit Maryland I will be stopping by G&M restaurant to grab up more crab cakes!

Arrived for dinner around 5:00 p.m. only had to wait a few minutes before being seated. Placed our dinner order and it arrived so fast I hadn't even had a chance to finish my bowl of cream of crab soup! Definitely did not have to wait long at all. My crab imperial was hot out of the oven and delicious. Very filling, I had a side of green beans and mashed potatoes. My husband Jim had the single crab cake with broccoli and a baked potato.

The food was great. The service was great. I haven't been to Baltimore in some years. This place will not let you down at all. Everything that I ate was great, flavorful. I got the Bake Crab Imperial. Now, this is a work of art to your taste buds it has like this mustard flavor that blends great south the crab meat. Oh, my appetizers were Osters on a half shell were good, but the Mussels in the garlic wine sauce oh my goodness. I had to use the shell of from the mussel to drink the garlic wine sauce 🫣😁. Over all my experience at this restaurant was fantastical. A definite must try!!

Kind of lackluster. Im not sure if I had too high hopes or what. I ordered the stuffed salmon and the food tasted as if it had the absolute bare minimum seasoning on it. Everything would’ve been a 10/10 if the food just had a little more seasoning. Atmosphere was nice. Great Server and good drinks.

Took my parents here for birthdays and Father’s Day. Food was delicious and cooked to order. My Mom got the Ribeye, well done and my Dad and I got the Crab Cake Platter. My Mom’s steak was delicious and not dried out she said. Dad and my crab cakes were large, (8oz.) and very little filler, lots of lump crab meat and flavor. Drinks were tasty and not watered down and desserts were good too. I didn’t get a picture of them because my parents got them to go home with them, but Dad’s lemon cheesecake was good he said and Mom’s coconut cake was good and a huge piece. Cake flavorful not dried out. My only complaint was the bread wasn’t warm enough to melt the butter, but that’s it. Tiffany, like the jewelry store, was fabulous. She was vey attentive, we not once had to look for her for something. If we asked she remembered to bring it to us on her next go around, even if it wasn’t to our table. Very good waitress!

Go for the crab cakes, crab cakes and crab cakes. The dining area is classic old school utilitarian. Look past it for the crab cakes. We would also recommend a bowl of the mixed soup (red/white chowder). Always crowded but well worth the wait. Servers are always phenomenal!

Food was great. Service was mediocre. The Maryland crab cake and crab dip was to die for. The seafood pasta was also amazing. The grilled oysters are something you will want to try. They are lightly grilled/broiled and topped with lemon, butter and garlic. However, we struggled to get a refill on our drinks and when the busy time died down our server was more concerned about completing her closing duties than waiting on us. We waited an extraordinary amount of time to get a doggie bag and the check. Is it too much to ask to be waited on for the $20+ tip that the servers expect? I expect more than just taking my order, bringing my food and refilling my water once. How about stopping by the table once or twice? Sorry, but every place wants to take your money but service and ambiance are just not part of the dining experience any longer. Overall the food was great but I don't know if I will go back due to the service.

Overall this place was just okay for me. My crab soup literally came out at room temperature. I don't know if they turned the warmer off because it was 45 minutes prior to closing. It did have plenty of crab lump but that was the only highlight. The crab dip and chips were good however, the bread it came with seemed as if was sitting out for a while. The crab cakes were good and weren't filled with filler, however I feel the sandwich could've came with some type of sauce, instead it was just crab cake and bread. My kids didn't complain about their meals. I think because of all the hype I hear about this place is what made it a bigger let down. I'm glad I stopped here on the way back from a road trip instead of taking the 2 hour drive solely for it.

I came to G&M once before and the service and food during that visit was top notch. The customer service was great, our waiter was attentive and offered plenty of helpful suggestions, I raved about this place. Fast forward to Saturday 12/9 - I bought my family along since we were in the area & they wanted to try G& M after I spoke so highly of the restaurant. I ordered the seafood platter, the potatoes were hard, cold and tasted as if they were poorly made boxed potatoes. The flounder, scallops and asparagus were cold. My mom had a single crab cake meal and pulled out shell after shell from her crab cake - her potatoes and green beans were cold and she was less than pleased. My stepdad ordered the double crab cake meal and didn’t touch his broccoli as it was cold and barely steamed. We ordered the zucchini chips and they were cold and soft. My parents were not pleased and I was embarrassed I offered such a unsatisfying meal after such a long day. Totally disappointed in my experience this time around.

BEST CRAB CAKES EVER! I am talking about very little breading and all Crab meat! The seasoning was amazing! Fast friendly service and the place is a lot bigger inside than it looks outside. Crab dip and firecracker shrimp was so delicious! Did I mention you can order online and you can have it delivered? Check out their website! Save some room for the freshly baked desserts!

Came for dinner on a Wednesday night with the family. I ordered a bottle of wine at the bar while waiting for my party to all arrive. Service was quick. It’s strange they won’t let you take it to your table after but it is not a big deal. The restaurant always get full pretty quick so you know it is good. We got a couple things some mussels and wings to start. Both were good and flavorful. We all got crab cake platters and I am always amazed by the size of the crab cakes. I felt the crab cakes were pretty salty and the mash potatoes were cold. Luckily dessert saved the day. Their cheesecake always hits the spot. Service was okay, she was helpful when available but it was kind of slow. Maybe she was having an off night. Either way, the meal was decent and I still think it is one of the best places for crab cakes in MD.

I normally love this place. I have always enjoyed the staple dishes over the past 20 years. Recently, I've taken a few groups of friends here to try the food. Recently I found that the food is not as flavorful. If you come here for crab cakes then you're good. The crab cakes are amazing. The service is always amazing and the drinks are great. This last visit, I got the scallops and they were not good at all. I will caveat this to say I did not bring it up to the waitress. I just left the food on the table. This place is definitely worth a try.

Wonderful place with terrific ambiance and amazing Maryland seafood. Even the non-seafood entrées are fabulous and extremely generous, like my chicken penne pasta shown below. Our server Monica was so hospitable and so efficient! We'll definitely be back!

This place does not disappoint. Everytime we go down to Baltimore this is always our restaurant of choice. The crab cake is always consistent and amazingly good. We went yesterday for dinner and we order the special which comes with a whole soft shell crab and a 4 oz crab cake and fries. The portion was big. We also got the Maryland crab soup and the grilled octopus. Everything was cooked perfectly. To top that off our waiter Paul was amazing. He was very attentive and constantly refill our water even though we went on Father’s Day and it was extremely busy. He kept coming back to check on us to make sure we were still doing ok. If you haven’t been here before I highly recommend this place.
