I truly hate roses but I loved the view a absolutely must visit on your list of places to.see...women are powerful and to walk the path of people whom...came before me. To actually stand in a place where the flag was made is awesome...

Small but worth the time. Museum is small and well laid out. Lots to read. Short movie about the Star Spangled Banner and a gift shop. Then there is the tour of the home Mary lived in while sewing the flag. You can do the tour self guided or with a guide. We chose to do it with a guide and she was very knowledgeable. Always neat seeing historic homes and trying to imagine how they lived back then. Admission is inexpensive but we also had a Groupon so it was even less. Would recommend to any history buffs in the area! No parking (we took an Uber)

What a unique piece of history! Thank you, Baltimore, for preserving this! The museum is classy and teaches all about the flag that flew over Ft. McHenry in the War of 1812 that inspired Francis Scott Key to write the poem that became our National Anthem. The actual house has been preserved for us to see and imagine what life was like back then. If you take a self-guided tour, ask the front desk for the booklet that tells what each number is in the house. Fascinating material!

Museum is small. I thought that was it. But No! The actual house with audio tour is where it at. Oh and the cashier lady was so nice and informative!

Lovely little museum. The lady manning the place was very pleasant and full of knowledge. The self-guided tour portrayed life of the time. It's amazing what Mary persevered through.

This is a really special place in Baltimore. It encompasses a museum and historic house with the history of the making of the flag itself (self guided tour) and goes really well with a visit to Fort McHenry! You start the visit with a video which shows the history and events around the flag and also how it came to be commissioned. Following this, there's a small museum which looks at the house and its inhabitants and their lives as well the flag itself and its history through the years (it really is incredible how well it was looked after!). Finally, you get to see inside the house. There's a cell phone tour which you dial in on or else there is a paper version of the tour too with numbered stops. Both times I've visited, I've been the only person there and it's nice to be able to take your time and really look at the rooms and artefacts without being rushed on! There's a small gift shop and the lady on the desk is really lovely and very friendly- well worth a visit! I'd recommend just checking the opening hours before you sit as it's not open daily and does close a little earlier too than other attractions.

A good place to spend an hour or so learning about the history of the Star-Spangled Banner and seeing where it was created. The home is restored and there is a self-guided tour; the museum is small but informative and friendly staff.

A great little place to spend an hour or so. We went here after Fort McHenry so already knew the story of the flag but it was still well worth going. The lady at the counter is so friendly and there is a nice exhibition to look round before going over to the main house. The self guided tour is by smart phone but if you don't have a phone which works in the US they can give you a folder with the same information. Definitely worth a visit.

No line when I arrived. Plenty of information and artifacts from various periods of the building's existence. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Will visit again!

The website says that it's open as of July from Tuesday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. It is Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. and it is closed. I called and the voice recording confirms what the website says that it's open. I drove here from Howard county to see this place and it is of course closed. Public works in this city, and the state, are pathetic. A sign on the front of the door is how they announce it's closed. What a waste of time.

A lot more history here than you might think! Interesting to see the impact of what went on in this house had on our country, the tour guides are great at explaining the history, and there's lots of cool things in the house to look at. Definitely stop here if you're visiting Baltimore.

My daughter and I visited this attraction in February. It is a nice little museum about the creation of the US Flag that inspired Francis Scott Key’s poem that became our national anthem. It started with a 20 minute video, and then a roomful of exhibits. You can then go to the actual house where the flag was made. You can do this museum in about one and a half hours taking your time. There is also a small gift shop.
