Dark history has plagued this park. Gave off a creepy vibe, but it's mostly because of the stuff I've read about it. Once there, one gets consumed by, both, it's man-made and natural beauty. A bit neglected, so hopefully the city invests some money into it.

I flew my drone in this park. One of the few public parks where drone flights are allowed. Amazing and breath taking shots. It also has tennis lawns for those who play. I loved the scenery and my camera caught sights of deer moving in packs. It wasn’t difficult to find parking and it wasn’t too busy either. If you are into drone photography, check out this spot.

One of Baltimore's best hidden gems. Beautiful old historic park tucked away with a nature center, mansion, both forest and paved trails and not to mention a beautiful stream with picturesque bridges. Walk the dog, jog, bike, roller blade, take pictures or go for a leisurely stroll

Great history hike! I read all the placards. Just recently learned that Baltimore was HUGE textile producer and many factories were close by to this park. So kewl.

Great place to visit! Leakin Park is the largest woodland park in an east coast city. It also has a nature center, trails, tennis courts, basketball courts, community garden, football and baseball fields, and biking paths. It's a great place to wander around.

very nice oasis in the middle of the suburbs. The trails are more numerous and longer than I expected. The picnic area is very beautiful and has a garden which attracts butterflies. I didn't get to the waterfall this time. One word of caution: you cannot turn into the path which leads to the nature center and there are no signs for that until you get to the entrance road if you are driving from west to east. by that time, there is no way to turn around until you get to the bottom of the hill. There is parking in the Outward Bound area prior to the Nature Center road.

Beautiful park. Lots of beautiful sights to see as you explore the full path by foot or by bicycle. Lots of little monuments or historical sites in the park to see as well. There area few geo caches around the park as well for you to find, some are tricky to find and some are easier as well like for kids. Highly recommend!

My grandsons and I love leakin park. We hike the trails and forage the plants and mushrooms. We call it the outdoor classroom and playground all wrapped in one. My daughter loves it as well. She and I brisk walk the trails for exercise. That particular rock I named it meditation rock. It's elevated and peaceful. Leakin park is the best park in Baltimore.

For anybody young or old who has the slightest interest in trains, this place is the place for you. From the time they open to the time they close, they have multiple small trains running that are big enough for people to sit single file along their cars. They have steam, electric, and diesel powered engines. The whole place runs through volunteers and donations. It is a really cool place to visit.

This park is amazing for walks especially dog walks. It is very spacious and relaxing for picnics children to run around most of all family time. This is now my favorite park to come with my man and my doggy panda. He had an amazing time...I recommend this park to anybody. And it's very clean.

Large clean park with tons of activities. My son loved the huge waterwheel and throwing rocks into the water. We also found a ton of seaglass. I was happy for the ton of intact and well kept geocaches.

A small train, with wall climbing and so many activities organized by local NGOs, is a very good experience. The train is free for multiple rides until 3:30pm, they just need donations (it's not mandatory at all). All these activities will happen only on the second Sunday of each month from April to October . They need more donations to expand this for more days.. visit to experience a unique day out...

Hiked here many times. Just did the loop with the cub scouts. Three miles, challenging enough for them but easy enough to complete. Amazing that this beautiful wilderness is right in the city. I do wish people would keep the outskirts of the park cleaner.

Went on a hike through the trails of the park. We tried to take a long route around on a dark blue path but it led to an open field and we lost track and had to circle back. Overall it is a great park.

Leakin Park is one of Baltimore's greatest disappointments. The park itself is lovely, with extensive trails and picnicing spots. There is an herb festival in the Spring that is run by volunteers and is loads of fun. But, most of the Park is notorious as a place where murders happen, crimes are committed and is just unsafe for women and children. The potential is there but not without seriously improved policing efforts.

It’s a great park, have picnic tables and many trails for walking, running and biking. There are many ups and downs- it’s beautiful during fall. The trails were cleaned recently, if you go to park runs this ones great! It’s mostly shady and you go around twice! It’s a small group, you are welcome!

Cool and creepy at the same time. Random doorways in the woods. It has a very Blair Witch Project feel.

This park is historic and the people who occupy the space are not keeping it up as it should. I used to visit this park often because I used to live in the community. For this space to be historic there is a certain level of care that should take place...it has not...what a shame!

I gave 5 stars because of the love I have for our Parks. I just wished everyone loved Our parks as much as I do. I would love to see improvements in trash, upkeep and maintenance.

Leakin Park has great trails, both paved and unpaved. I really enjoy bicycling on the paved trails. And I enjoy walking on the unpaved trails. People generally work really hard to keep it clean. There are quite a few Whitetail deer in the park who are very used to seeing people. It is fun to walk around and look at the ruins and visit the various buildings. There are some open areas suitable for playing catch.

I love this park. I've been coming here for a little while now and I get super excited everytime I come. There are open fields and picnic tables. And there are even small trains that can be ridden. Every second sunday of the month, year round, there is a 50 foot climbing wall down one of the roads. The park also has courts though they dont have nets or basketball hoops. I really love this park, and I would HIGHLY suggest you go.

This park was a quiet jewel of a greenspace in southwest Baltimore City. It is not truly respected and valued by the residents who surround it. Nor does the City or City Councilman pay attention to its attributes. .It was a haven of adventures for Saturday morning hikes when I had my dogs.

If history is your "thing" then take a walk through this park. It will surprise you. Seeing the wild life (deer family) was a treat too!!

Leakin Park is a natural oasis that never fails to enchant. Nestled in the heart of the city, it offers a refreshing escape from the urban hustle and bustle. The park's lush greenery, winding trails, and serene ambiance make it an idyllic spot for a peaceful retreat or a leisurely stroll. Families, nature enthusiasts, and joggers alike will find solace here. The well-maintained facilities, including picnic areas and playgrounds, cater to visitors of all ages. Leakin Park is a testament to the city's commitment to preserving green spaces, and it's a must-visit for anyone seeking tranquility amidst the urban jungle.

The park for great for hiking. But old habits I would not go alone or at least knife or something. Some of the park is in or near the city. Some leads into Ellicott City area. The good part. Do your homework and it could be a great time

It's pure nature what can be wrong about it. It would be more pleasurable if people always cleaned up after their dogs, though. Also, for the water to be cleaner and not smell bad.

The park and ride side is picturesque but you have to continue across Windsor Mill Road to the other side and look up the mountains, the water flowing in the stream, the peace it has to offer. This is my go to for peace and tranquility.

Neat park, been there many decades. Woody surroundings with trails & multiple entrances you can drive to. Ice house, care taker house & water wheel ruins are near the Ben Cardin Pavilion section on Google maps & has parking lot. Not far to walk to Orianda mansion, nature center & miniature railroad but if it's muddy or you don't feel safe you can drive to the other sections. Water is polluted now, but in the 1970s and 1980s kids used to dig in the stream for crayfish.

This place seems like a secret or a place that's been forgotten. There's a lot of nice trails and abandoned stretches of roads that are great for bike. There's also plenty of nice green space and a pavilion for picnics.
