Great place to get away from the city's concrete & asphalt! Have a look at the few pictures I got before the rain absolutely poured down on me. 23JUN23 10 am

Wonderful place to walk around and explore! The water was beautiful and I can't wait to come back when things start greening up for spring into summer. There was a bathroom facility but it was locked while we were there, and the parking was ample and right next to the trail.

Favorite low key park. It features 2 playgrounds, a baseball field, 2 pavilions, a ton of Picnic tables, and a wooded trail. The trail could use some maintenance but it’s a nice getaway from the city. The trail features large rocks (obviously) and a small stream. There are a few shallow bodies of water that along the trail that is perfect for little ones to play in the stream (at your own risk). It’s very relaxing for relaxing in nature, deep breathing or reading a book. The park does have a restroom and 1 pavilion appears to have a grill. There is plenty of parking for a intimate event or family gathering. Overall, this is a cute little park that offers nature close to the city. Fyi: the rocks can be slippery when wet so wear sturdy shoes or hiking sandals.

This is my favorite place to get away near my home. There is plenty of parking and the trails are easy to follow. I love the stream… sitting on my favorite rock, listening to the water is healing. My son also enjoys rock hopping.

There were plenty of places for groups of people to eat, but that seemed to be the only redeeming quality of the area. The playground itself could handle small children, but the basketball court or lack thereof, was barely held together. Falling down hoop and Court of dirt.

Double Rock Park in Parkville is a favorite of mine. There are several play areas for the kiddos & 3 pavilions to choose from, 2 covered & 1 not covered. Lots of grass for the kiddos to run around. Moderate parking within park. Lower & upper lots.Great spot for a cook out or kids birthday party. The recent Easter egg hunt was a succes as it has been in prior years. Don't forget to get your permit though. I think that there is a restroom within the premises of the park.

The actual park has 2 playground areas, 2 baseball fields, and multiple picnic areas/Pavillions. We rented the Alex Pavilion and it was great. It backs up to the creek and trees so it's private in the actual Pavillion. There are plenty of picnic tables and an outside charcoal grill. This Pavillion also has restrooms, which we thought would be just for us but it seems they are open to the public as well (many people who were hiking came through our party and used the restrooms). This is the only negative aspect.

This park has really great hikes/paths and is beautiful. My favorite part so far of what we have explored is the waterfall / creek feature, especially if you find unusual rock formations interesting, like I do. They also have picnic tables and a playground. It's a great area to bring young kids or people of any ages who like nature.

Double Rock is a hidden gem. It's a great place for hiking. You can also rent a Pavillion for parties. There is water running through it and lots of rocks to play around on. Very clean. It's beautiful all year round but Fall is just stunning here.

Came here with my new puppy, she LOVED it. It's quite, beautiful, and fun overall! Only reason it loses a star is due to the amount of trash/glass bits on the ground. Specially when bringing your pup...just be cautious. But overall a fun time!

So based off the reviews I drove my gang and I here which took about 25 minutes. It was relatively empty during week mid day. My kids enjoy the scenic lake trail ; however the reason for minus star is because the bathroom was locked. So instead of spending 2+ hrs here. Our picnic ended due to closed bathrooms.

It's one of my favorite local trails to go to! It's rarely busy and there's a lot of parking available.

Cool park, my family's been going there for over 30yrs. Cool little playground, good hike for my kids (6, 3, & 1-1/2). Fun to play in the creek (although better when there's been more rain so the water is cleaner). I've never completed the trail loop, though I've read it's kinda confusing to follow. We've always hiked down and then straight back. Seems like it's fairly well maintained. Note: please be kind and leave nothing behind. Double Rock would be even nicer if jerks didn't vandalize & tag everything. Beware, sometimes junkies hang out at the pavilions.

Nice park off the beaten path. By 'off,' I mean it's located in the middle of a neighborhood. The park has an open field, playground, and a couple trials that follow a serene stream with mini waterfalls. Just make sure to wear sturdy shoes so you don't slip and fall on the rocks. On my way out, I got lost for a bit, until I met a couple who were also lost. πŸ˜…Β  When I finally got out, I realized there's two entrances/exits. If you come out the wrong one (like I did) it's only a short walk down the road to the other parking lot.

I like almost everything about this park except the free-range pitbull owners. Three of the last five trips I've had here, someone has had a dog without a leash on a playground. I'm sure that your dog is normally well behaved, but young children aren't the guniea pigs for this experiment. Please keep your dogs on a leash around small children.

I woke up one morning and wanted to experience nature in a safe environment, and I was not disappointed. The trails were excellent, and the greenery and trees keep the paths cool. I met some wonderful people who lived in the area who were really nice. This is a perfect place for a piece of peace.

Sometimes you just need a quiet space. You need somewhere to be able to think things through and reflect upon the deepest emotions. And that was my place to do so. It was peaceful and beautiful and the birds chirping and all the beautiful landscaping just made it wonderful. I highly recommend taking a ride around and just enjoying it the beauty of nature. There's also sports teams that were playing one night when I was there. It was πŸ‘ great!

This is one my absolute favorite places to come for a nice hike with the kids. My 5yo can do almost all of it on foot and without help, and I wear my 2yo on my back and have few issues with the difficulty. However, all the paths are beautiful and less to water, the waterfalls and to different playgrounds and areas to end/start and take a break to play and eat something. The paths also show up perfectly on the AllTrails app! πŸ‘πŸΌ

I used to go here often, but the quality of the food started to fade away, so I stopped going in. Today, I figured I would give it another try...NOPE, it was still really bad, it was about 6:00 pm, and the pizza was hard as a rock, the chocolate chip pizza was so hard, it was like a brick. The utensil you used to put the pizza on your plate was so hot that it was hard to hold. So I was like, okay, pasta and salad then...NOPE... there was cooked pasta mixed in with other pasta that was barely cooked..and the alfredo sauce I used for a bite of a bread stick tasted off...I figured okay, just a salad then, the salad bar was fresh and was just fine, the dressings and toppings were good. The point is I basically paid 20 bucks for an all you can eat salad bar... in a place like this, the food should be freshly made and edible, the pizza was obviously under to hot of a heat lamp for a very long time. The pasta.. I have no idea what happened there. And the alfredo sauce..well again, I am guessing to hot a temperature or old mixed with new.. but it was definitely off in taste. I definitely won't be going back...

😠 The park itself is nice, and the stream. I had a scary interaction with a man yesterday. He told me he believed someone had taken my purse out of my car and was running through the field with it, said he would watch my kids if I wanted to go check, I told him no thank you and we were leaving. My pu...
