I feel like I was scammed by fake reviews. This was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The only pros of this hotel was it's location. This hotel is about 10-15 minute walk to the inner harbor. The other pro is that if you want to buy aquarium tickets, you can get a $10 discount. Let's get into the bad experience. The first night, I checked in around 8 pm. When I entered the room, it smelled horribly of cats. I also had to play with the door for it the lock. The curtains and bedding were stained and torn. I did check for bed bugs and the bed did not have any. I called the front desk twice, but they never picked up. The next morning, I found a cockroach in the bathroom and killed it with my perfume. It was left behind the bathroom door. I did tell the front desk, and she indicated she would be sending a cleaner. No offers to change rooms or anything. When I got back from being out and about in the city, the room smelled of cigarette smoke. The bed was made but the dead cockroach was still behind the bathroom door. In the bathroom, there were loose tile and mold in the shower. I did not feel comfortable even walking around my own room in socks since the floor was dirty and had stains as well. Each day, I also had to get new room keys since they did not work properly. Do not stay at this hotel, please go somewhere else.

Before Booking! First people read the fine print. They charge a nonrefundable deposit for parking, and we stayed two nights while visiting family. They didn't have enough bedding or towels in the room. I had to go back to the front desk to obtain the rest. We had to smell what others used throughout the stay, the hallways and elevator smelled of Marijuana. The carpets, showers, and rooms need makeovers or remodeling. For what we spent, I could have slept elsewhere.

This is not the worst place I've stayed. But it definitely needs to be downgraded from 2.5 stars. The room was clean, the place was quiet, and the bed was comfortable. I didn't find the people anging around there to be "sketchy," just poor. The staff was helpful and competent- my key stopped working every day, and they were great about fixing it quickly. The cons: There was a desk in my room, but no chair. It's actually quite a hike from Inner Harbor, and the furnishings were stained, old, and worn. The breakfast continues to be packaged muffins, yogurt, and coffee, when similar hotels are offering eggs and sausage. Even a bagel would be nice. I did see one enormous roach, but that was all. Pillows were all lumpy. I'd put it as a nice 1-star hotel and stay at the Holiday Inn Express next door instead.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Where do I begin..... There was cardboard over the front door window from the outside. When inside you can see it is round in shake like a bullet. I reserved this room through my app with this hotel hospitality group. At no point in my reservation did it notify me there would be a $100 deposit also charged to my card. When I inquired and asked for a receipt that shows it was a deposit he said he could not provide one until I checked out. It will take 5-7 days to come off my card. The hallways on each floor are in disrepair and have massive white patches that looks like it was patched. Never sanded or repainted, just white splotches everywhere. The door jamb to the room showed signs of forced entry. Upon entering the room we were immediately greeted with a horrible smell that was a mix of body odor, urine and must. The door swing was within 2 inches of the bed, immediately in front of it. So you had to walk to the right to the headboard to shut the door and then come into the room. The bedding appeared clean but did not smell laundered. The carpeting was gross. The bathroom door did not shut. The bed was hard around the perimeter and then a huge sag in the middle. You're better off parking in a garage somewhere and sleeping in your car. We didn't dare try the free breakfast buffet based on the situation of the room. DON'T STAY HERE.

We booked this hotel months before our cruise. A couple weeks before we sailed I called just to verify check in. Turns out it is not a hotel anymore its a homeless shelter and no one was going to let us know! Do not book here!!!!

It's no longer a hotel. It's a shelter for the homeless. The people are really nice and pleasant. I worked their for outreach

There was no tv remote in my room. We asked for a remote and was told someone would come by with one. Ten minutes later we hear the door unlocking and an employee walked in on me and my boyfriend. The remote worked temporarily and the TV randomly turned off, front desk brought probably 4 more remotes and none of them worked for the TV. Manager apologized and we were stuck with nothing to watch. Breakfast is very underwhelming (we ate elsewhere) and my room key was deactivated before check-out which means I couldn't get back into my room after taking stuff to my car. Contacted Expedia for the violation of my privacy and the manager at the hotel Khalid denied a partial refund. I do not recommend.

This is an amazing hotel for it to be in downtown Baltimore City. Parking is amazing and free after 6pm. Very quiet area and hotel. Rooms are spacious and clean. You may have some trouble with wifi, but it works when it wants to. They have overnight security that's there for protection, and the doors are always locked. You enter with your key card. They also serve a hot breakfast, which is a 3/5, but the waffle machine is a 5/5. The front desk clerk Tarek made my stay pleasurable with assisting with breakfast when items were low, and calling to see if I was checking out or extending my stay. Don't let this goldmine get away from you.

The front desk staff was great. Friendly, courteous and accommodating. That is the only positive. We couldn’t even stay the night because the room we were given stank so bad of weed and smoke that - especially traveling with children - we were unwilling to stay in it. For a hotel that claims to be non-smoking it was extremely disappointing and made a rare weekend away the opposite of fun.

This was a nice experience, it was very clean, comfortable, convenient with the parking at no extra cost. The people was amazing very respectful and helpful. They also serve breakfast that was amazing, the waffle maker was a nice touch also. The price was okay, very much affordable for the amenities and location. I would stay here every time I come to Baltimore.

Mold in shower, had no towels or pillowcases. I had to go request them. There were toenail clippings all over the floor by the bed, so the room obviously wasn't cleaned before my arrival. Room smelled of dog pee and had stained carpets. The complimentary breakfast was some stale bread for toast, some muffins and coffee or juice. Had to pay $15 to park in a parking lot they owned, that wasn't even secure at all. This was the worst Choice hotel I have ever stayed in and will never return.

Stayed here because it was a decent price and there was not much else available. Calling this "inner harbor" is a big stretch. My room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable, but the hallways were dirty (lots of stains on the carpet everywhere, large ones). The door to my room looked as though someone had taken a very, very large flat-head chisel to it, trying to break the lock. The dresser had a hole and a large area where someone again clearly had hacked away the veneer. The coffee pot did not work; it did not even include all parts. The wifi did not work. AT ALL. And I had to work. The keys never worked upon return to the hotel. The TV was from a different era, which is not a compliment. They provided very extremely flimsy bars of soap and the rungs on the soap holder were so far apart you could not put anything on it that did not fall right through. At the same time, the staff were all very nice and helpful (and I want to underscore that), with one exception, a person at the front desk who was rude and more interested in personal calls than guests. I did not feel unsafe. It's just clear the management/ownership does not care.

Hotel rooms were clean and accomplish the main objective of a room (to sleep in). The TV in our room was extremely small especially for the distance between the beds and the wall the TV was hung on. It is located conveniently close to "PowerPlant LIVE!", so if nightlife is your thing, and budget is of importance, this is the perfect spot for you! Not much of a breakfast in the morning, but as a festival organizer who does a lot of travelling, I've seen worse spreads at supposedly "more upscale" hotels.

Staff was amazing but this hotel was not even worth $250. More like $70. The beds were hard as rocks. The pillows felt like bricks. The floors were so dirty and stand. This place needs a whole make over. The outside and inside look like nothing they show. Spend 100 more and get a way better hotel.

I was staying at this place while attending the Baltimore Comic Con. If you like sketchy places, then this place is for you. Want to pick up an exotic dancer, then this is the place for you. Please note that the exotic dancers might live at the hotel. Want to see young 20 year olds drink Corona in the morning while you're eating their so-called complimentary breakfast, then go right ahead and stay at this place. Oh yeah, be on the lookout for outside people who come into the dining area and help themselves to the breakfast. Also, the guy who was working that Thursday at the desk was no help. He looked like he didn't want to be there. The phone in the room does not work. The doors to the rooms and the elevator have scratches on them. There is also no room service. But if you're on a tight budget, then this is the place for you. One last thing, there is no hot tub.

The hotel was very good about letting us check in early. The room was nice and the beds were comfy. They did offer a shuttle service to the cruise port which was nice for $20 a person round trip. There was miscommunication between hotel and shuttle so almost missed boarding time. The breakfast was bad as others have stared the eggs were not done and no one ever cleaned during breakfast very very messy. The worst part was we had booked to stay the night when we got back and when we went into the hotel we were told they would be closed for the next month andd they had booked us at the hotel next door was very inconvenient and would have been nice to have been notified in advance

We booked a room here a month ago for tomorrow night (11/4) and received a phone call a little while ago stating that our reservation had been canceled due to renovations. Less than 24 hours before check in??? Seriously?? Very disappointed.

The hotel charged me $100 on top of parking and called it a "deposit." Well, it's been a week and I haven't gotten it back. When I first paid it, the front desk refused to even give me a receipt and then claimed if I paid in cash, I would get it right back that night. Sketchy. The room was rough as well. The shower looked like a dungeon but the bed was somewhat comfortable. It's not in a great area but is close to main attractions in the city. There is an abandoned building behind it with graffiti. The breakfast was disgusting and I can eat anything. I couldn't even swallow the coffee. The worst thing was the service or lack thereof. During the whole debacle with the parking, the man behind the desk refused to get off of his phone and was speaking loudly to a friend on the other line of his cell phone. Also, the doors are locked to the outside, but the key to get in doesn't always work. We had to get a new key when ours stopped working both to get into the room and also to get into the hotel. In short, I would NOT recommend.

This hotel is perfect. My husband and I came into town to see a concert first week of October. The hotel set staff and security were amazing extremely friendly patient. The hotel is a little bit older so a few things need to be updated but the overall cleanliness was great, I absolutely loved the coffee in the morning and I totally loved and appreciated the complementary breakfast. Some people may not be happy with the exact location of this hotel because it’s not ““ exactly in the inner harbor but it’s literally a five minute walk. We are looking forward to coming back to this hotel when we visit Baltimore again!

This place is a must miss. It's in a bad neighborhood and the facilities are in poor condition. We were there two nights, and the elevator was broken both days, it's possibly permanently broken. My room had a broken phone, the wifi didn't work, and the remote for the TV was out of batteries. When I called the front desk (on my cell phone), they told me they could switch me to a different room, but I'd have to come get the keys myself, there was no one to bring them to me. The next room also had a broken phone, but the remote was working and I managed to connect to the wifi, so I went back to room #1, taking the remote with me. Meanwhile, my daughter in the other room was struggling with a broken toilet, and she also had to change rooms. There was mold in the shower, the lobby plants were dying, the place was dirty and shabby. See photos of hall carpet and door inside room. Also the price was twice what the website promised. I could go on, but you get the picture.

The location and service were great. It was a quick walk to Camden Yards. However, the hotel itself was awful. My first room smelled like cigarettes. When I got transferred, the new room smelled excessively like strong air freshener and the carpets smelled like urine. We also ended up getting bed bugs from here! Would not recommend to anyone and won't be here again.

Front desk was very courteous and helpful. The room we finally stayed in was clean. Upon arrival police were executing a warrant, which was alarming. Elevator did not work neither did my floor's ice machine. Our original room on the 4 the floor had a broken bed and the toilet paper holder was broken off the wall. Front desk quickly changed our room and gave us a room one floor up from that. This room we chose to stay in. The fridge was out of order and the shower light strobed. One other lamp needed new bulb. AC was louder than it should be but worked and wasn't annoying just not right. I did wonder how long it would work. It lasted the night for my family. Breakfast was grab and go. Price was great for the Baltimore area. If you are staying just to sleep. I'd suggest you inspect your room first before moving your bags there.

I visited Baltimore to see an Orioles and choose this place to stay, lesson learned. It’s cheap but do not carry any valuables with you into the building because I had my AirPods stolen and my only solution is to warn others as best I can because of course, this hotel will do nothing. Also it smells pretty bad and the surrounding is horrible, jails and homeless people so be careful. I will not be staying at this or any it’s equivalence. You get what you pay for and I deserved it but they also deserve that 1 star. I would think they would be disappointed but judging by the staff, they probably couldn’t muster enough professionalism to even do that so if you want your stay to be legally better than a correctional facility, THIS IS YOUR PLACE 👍

I attended an event in Baltimore this past weekend and got a room at the hotel on Hotwire and a loss of sleep wasn't an issue. I arrived and was impressed with how nice the property looked from the outside and the lobby inside. I checked in and liked the spacious room including bathroom. The bed was comfortable and breakfast the next morning was good. I had a couple of small issues that the manager resolved. This is my hotel of choice in Baltimore.

This is a two star hotel the pretends to be more than it is. The shades in the room are chipped, the door lock works most of the time, trash in the elevator (permit expired 9/16/22 and is slow), quality of breakfast leaves a lot to be desired, lighting on entrance needs to be fixed, of course they can't help that it is located right next to the seedy part of town. The one shining diamond is an employee named KENYA! Very professional, listens, and does her best to accommodate, definitely a keeper.

I had to change rooms because my first room the mattress had the equivalent of a sinkhole. This hotel is quaint and clean. The staff is over accommodating and give 5 star service. I would return and recommend

My stay was good. Peaceful and clean room and the in-room jacuzzi tub actually worked! I specifically reserved the room for the in-room jacuzzi so the fact that it did work was a plus for Me. Other than the damage and wear and tare of the room it was a good choice and reasonable in price as well

This place is amazing. This location is a “HIDDEN GEM” in the heart of thinner harbor. The first face at the front desk was the epitome of Word Class Service. “TAREK” the face at the front was extremely inviting and professional. He made our welcome, our stay and end of stay a very pleasant and enjoyable visit. We will be back. Highly recommend.

The location is good cause it's 8n range of alot of things. But my room did not have a fridge or microwave as other rooms did. And the TV was entirely too small to be in a hotel. It was really made like a meet and smash. If your looking for a hotel experience please find somewhere else in Baltimore.

  • 3/5 Chris Z. 2 years ago on Google
A decent hotel for the price. I'm assuming the post-pandemic still plagues the workforce because there were no front desk agents around at 8 a.m. The room was mostly clean, though ours had a missing smoke detector, huge crack in the mirror in the bathroom, and some random bugs who definitely did not pay to be there. Considering its location the room was very quiet.

Worst hotel I’ve ever been to. We didn’t even stay the night. In complete disrepair. Comforter was torn apart, holes in walls, smelled terrible, ripped mattresses in the hallways. I could go on and on.The only good thing about the hotel was the staff. Stay somewhere else. you don’t need to save money that badly.

  • 1/5 James S. 1 year ago on Google • 2 reviews
Thieves. Straight up stole $100 from me Claimed "smoke damage", which I assured them can't be because there was ABSOLUTELY NO smoking in the room. They could tell we were from out of town (wearing Jerseys to go to a game) and knew that it was an easy $100 to steal and nothing I can do about it. Spoke with my bank but unfortunately nothing can be done Don't stay here unless your prepared for them to lie about smoking so they can steal $100 from you

Booked a reservation for a week and was told I couldn't book a hotel there. No longer a hotel but a woman's shelter. Paid a grand and didn't get refunded.

Truly don’t let some photos deceive you, you get what you pay for. The receptionist were not very helpful and spoke horribly broken English. The rooms are extremely lacking. The room I had over payed for with our national aquarium visit has paint chips on all of the doors and frames, nail polish or some type of purple paint smeared all over the dresser, the chair in our room has multiple slashes, the A/C was very weak especially for mid-July. The only 2 things that helped this place was its location. Located right next door to the city police headquarters, and very convenient walking distance to downtown. Other than that I’d recommend the holiday inn very close by…
