Reviewing as a coffee shop. It's probably awesome as a juice bar. So we stopped in on our way back to Fairfax after picking up a geocache in a nearby Falls Church location. We put nearby coffee houses in Google maps and picked the one that wasn't a SB and said it had the best coffee in East Falls Church. I got mine black and LMP54 had some half-and-half with hers. Mine had a bit of a bitter after taste. LMP54 liked hers. This definitely has more of a juice bar feel than a coffee house feel and, looking it up after the fact, it is a juice bar! IT'S PROBABLY AWESOME AS A JUICE BAR as it had a fresh fruit tasty juicy smell. Parking could be tight but we were able to slip into a 15-min spot across the street so that worked out perfectly. The photos of the carved tree were close to the geocache that brought us to Falls Church to begin with.

It is a quite healthy lunch or quick bite option. Coffee is an option here as well. Food is good. It offers a small Xbox station for kids to play (not an actual working Xbox, I found! :-)). Chic and hip decor. Decent amount of seatings available but nothing for groups more than 8 that I can see. Cashless store so make sure you have your credit card to pay. Street parkings are plenty.

South Block is a relaxed spot that specializes in health-conscious options. Their menu, though small, offers great prices and includes cold-pressed juices, healthy toast, smoothies, and acai bowls. I had the pleasure of trying the peanut blast smoothie with added bananas, and it was absolutely delicious. The customer service was top-notch, with speedy and attentive service. The interior design was pleasing, and the establishment was impressively clean. I'm eagerly anticipating trying their acai bowls next time. I was so engrossed in the deliciousness that I forgot to snap a photo of the smoothie!

Absolutely dreadful experience at East Falls Church SouthBlock! The staff seemed disinterested and unhelpful, and it took ages just to place my order. When my smoothie finally arrived, it was the wrong flavor, and they didn't even apologize for the mistake. Save your money and go somewhere else!

Update: I contacted their customer service. It was a bit delayed, but they were able to assist with the problem. I still enjoy their acai bowls, but we make sure to double check our orders from now on. November 2022: Extremely disappointed and frustrated. My partner ordered me a bowl and what I received was not only the wrong size, but they completely messed up the order. What was ordered was a Pure Love bowl with no pineapple. Extra strawberries + Chia, along with everything else standard. What I got was this tiny bowl topped with tons of coconut & no granola. I contacted their customer service but I haven't received a response after 40 minutes. I was genuinely looking forward to breaking my fast with this acai bowl. And I'm feeling extra emotional due to my period. But it ruined my day. Old review: Amazing! South Block is THE BEST place to get an açai bowl in the dmv.

The girls and I order from this location every Friday at work and we look forward to it every week! Obsessed is an understatement 😆 the bowls are so good and hit every time. Quick service, always delicious and staff is friendly too. Great location with plenty of street and garage parking

Not bad - I ordered an acai bowl and two smoothies, it took way too long to be made even though it wasn’t that busy, so that’s why I took 1 star off.
