Commonwealth Senior Living is a beautiful assisted living facility that closely resembles oneโ€™s own home. Rather than a large grand-hotel style senior facility serving numerous residents, Commonwealth is much smaller and more home like. It is very tastefully decorated throughout and most of the resident rooms have large corner windows for viewing the outdoors, well laid out bathrooms and efficient small kitchen-type areas. All the staff I encountered were very friendly and helpful. Certainly a top choice.

Small and very personable facility. The care is top notch. My Mother-in-law was moved there just a few months ago, and is much happier than she was at the previous facility she was in. The staff is professional, and friendly, and includes family in many of the activities. It's well worth the hour trip from Harrisburg to see mom happy and well cared for.

We just moved Mom in and have felt very welcoming and comforted that she is in great hands. Updating my post Mom couldn't be in a better place. Jamica and Stacy take great care of her and then Tina and Sabrina come in for 3-11. They are very respectful and courteous. There are others who are great as well. Mary who is activity coordinator keeps em busywith lots of fun stuff. The other residents are great and Mo. Has made alot of new friends.

Very nice, clean and welcoming community. We placed my sister Dolores here and are glad we did. We rest easy knowing that she is safe, while continuing to live independently. Thank you, Gene

My mother came to Commonwealth Senior Living 1 1/2 yrs ago. I chose this place because it was on one floor-no elevators and small enough so she would not feel overwhelmed. The staff treated her like family. They really cared about her. I always felt welcomed when I came to visit which was frequently. The nurse, Jody, always communicated with me if there was a concern and always returned my calls and texts immediately. There were many activities for mom to join in if she wished and my mother made some good friends. The place was always very clean and decorated beautifully especially on holidays. The staff organized many fun family events that the grandchildren and great grandchildren enjoyed. Like the Easter Egg Hunt. My granddaughter enjoyed visiting my mother and playing at a center set up for the children. They could play dolls or color together. I really felt this was a good fit for my mom. She had dementia and this was the next best thing to being home.

Colleen and Jody were very informative and welcoming. Very nicely decorated and clean. All residents that I saw appeared happy. Rooms are spacious and bright. Spoke to a family member who has been very happy with her moms care.

I just hung up the phone with Commonwealth. I was inquiring about the facilities and options for memory care. I was curtly informed that they are full and have a 6-12 month waiting list. I thought about writing this review then, but decided to call back... and give them another chance... I mean everyone has a bad day now and then, right? I was then told by the person answering the phone that they were sorry I was upset about their phone "attitude." Not that they were sorry they offended me, just that they were sorry I was upset. you know lady, you were rude... just own it and apologize. Those of us who find ourselves calling facilities inquiring about memory care services are not having our best day either, know what I mean? Show a little compassion, how 'bout it?

Lovely facility and staff seem pleasant. In assisted living all residents really need advocacy and assistance, with a plan in place to meet goals that staff diligently carry out. Elders have memory issues so they need proactive oversight for things like their nutrition and hydration, regular social interaction with staff and residents etc
