I went late in the evening. I felt safe. The facility is clean. Nice music. All tvs working. Plenty of equipment. I love that the treadmill speed and incline can be controlled with the handles...I don't have to try to push buttons up and down on the control panel. The black card spa is an extra perk and really nice if you are a black card member.

The original Planet Fitness I joined years ago, and one of the first in the area. This place has come a long way since the early days. Friendly staff. Clean facility. Lots of equipment. The place has a very uncrowded feel to it, with decent spacing between machines. Plenty of weights and cardio stations. A great place to get a good workout. Black Card membership is worth every penny. The benefits make it an excellent value. Especially the massage chairs and lounge.

Abhorrent staff. Ricky is one of the worst jerks I have ever encountered. Snickering behind people as they walk away does not give you power. Furthermore, do your job and help others instead of judging them in this so-called judgment free zone. Would give 0 stars if I could. What a joke.

I had a billing issue and spoke with Rick. He was very professional and resolved my issue immediately. I attempted to resolve the matter with an associate at another location & was unsuccessful. The gym itself was clean & organized with plenty of equipment Rick listened and resolved, great customer service. Thanks Rick.

I wish there were more scheduled workout classes. Many of the workers could use a customer service class. They barely speak, and omg please dont have trouble with your phone to scan in, cause they die when you bother them from doing nothing and ask them politely to sign you in. And you might hear" i will do it this one time"

I was hesitant about joining this Planet Fitness because of the crowds. I’ve been going for a year now and though it stays pretty busy there’s always been equipment available. This is the best gym in the area and they recently remodeled. My favorite part about the remodel is the lounge (hydro massage) chair, which I enjoy before and after my workouts for warming and stretching my muscles.

They should be a little more strict and enforce the cleaning of equipment between clients. 1 of the 2 massage chairs has been out of order for about 1 1/2 weeks now and 1 out of the 2 reclined aqua massage beds has been out of order for a month now and of the 10 visits ive made to the Rt 40 location 9 nights there has been "a friend" of the employees sleeping in one of the massage beds like full blown snoring shoes off the whole 9 yards, someone just needs to get them a blanket they looked chilly....

Wasn't very fond of how an old male came up to me and said "I want to workout with you baby". Not really classy to bother someone while they're trying to get full benefits out of their gym membership & i sure as Hell don't think this is the spot to attempt to take someone home with. And also another old male who came up to me and said I was doing my workout wrong only for him to test my gullibility which was awfully rude and unclassy. All gym associates were decent and exhibited good kind customer service skills though and because of that I'd love to give three to four stars. It's definitely none of the employees fault here and it is out of employees control that there are people in this world who lack manners as to bother someone during their workout.

Coming to the gym during a pandemic is already stressful. I was very disturbed with how people would still walk through the gym not wearing their masks. The other disturbing part was the employees did not correct these people. Being in health care I'm already on high alert.. Which The gym should be as well.. Pre pandemic I actually had a conversation with a few people in regards to how the gym is being kept. The only time you would see the employees clean the machines is when corporate came down to cebrate the re opening of the Catonsville location With the new renovations.. My sister is a manager at a gym in a different city their team constantly cleans the machines even before the pandemic.. They make sure everyone has a mask on, gives them hand sanitizers, takes their temperature and even ask the general questions tat most people have a list of. I really hope that this reaches the right peopleand pray it's an eye opener..It is the responsibility of the management and staff to make sure everyone follows the mask protocols and address the people who fail clean the machine when they are done..But also keep the place sanitized... Please do your part!!!

Tonight was my second time going to this particular one. When I went it was like 12:45am and I stayed for about an hour. It wasnt bad. It was less than 8 people total that I noticed coming to get their gym on. I had no complaints. The staff member that I saw was attentive for the most part (as attentive as I expect someone to be during a grave shift anyway lol). It wasnt dirty. The other gym goers were all pretty spaced apart and socially distanced so that could be seen as a bit of respect for others. The music and TV's were going. So again, no complaints. I appreciate them being a 24/7 gym because my "usuals" are closed between 7PM and 7AM on the weekends and I needed to go at a time when everyone at my house was pretty much winding down since I missed Thursday and Friday. So Catonsville was an option for me on my newfound weightloss/health journey 👍🏿👍🏿

Everyone there is very helpful and polite no matter the time of day or who is working. The facilities are always clean. I would definitely recommend this gym to friends and family alike.

Group training classes are at the very top of my list. Josiah is PHENOMENAL!!! He is a great motivator, keeps the workouts interesting, and always has really good suggestions to adjust the intensity level. I've been to other PF clubs and their trainers don't come close to Josiah. I also feel that the membership fee corresponds to the equipment and available amenities. The recent expansion and renovations were right on time.

The staff and the cleanliness of the gym are great. My only issue is they got rid of all the Arc Trainers and replaced them with these absolutely AWFUL elliptical machines. They’re just garbage! Please, please, PLEASE bring back those Arc Trainers! They were the best.

Covid Friendly... just wish there was less machines for more space for HIIT workouts. Love you guys!

What else you wanna know it’s a gym. This location has a good amount of machines. The staff definitely clean and tidy up the place by replenishing cleaning solution for the machines and paper towels on a consistent rotation. Staff in the AM schedule are more friendlier then the staff in the evening. The ladies locker room stays clean.

I wish they would enforce the rules about wearing your mask. I keep my mask on regardless of the workouts and so should everyone else.

I have been a member and going to the rt 40 catonsville location for almost 2 years. It is always clean, the employees are always pleasant and it's never so crowded that I had to wait more than a minute or two for a piece of equipment. Speaking of equipment, everyone there is good about cleaning off the equipment once they have finished using it. For the ladies only. Now, I don't know how it is at other gyms or other PF locations personally, all I know is what I am told by friends and women I speak to at PF but as someone that gets hit on and asked out any time I am out in the world alone, I can happily say not once have I ever been hit on,asked out, asked for my number, asked if I "need a friend," nor stared at (besides a friendly and polite "hello" while waiting to use the paper towel roll and spray bottle of course).

Great gym. Price is great. Alot of useful equipment to use.. that I haven’t seen at other gyms

Lovely, clean gym I truly miss. Haven't been able to go in over a year, as the neighborhood has gotten more dangerous and we can only go after work, when it is dark. But I've heard rumors another one will be opening soon about 5 miles out that should be a little safer. In all, we love Planet Fitness and still belong and hope to be able to go to the newer one or wait until summer when we can manage daylight hours after work. I wish there were more locations, further from Baltimore City.

Rude staff. Downtown and Glen Burnie are much better. Today made me remember that even though this is the closest planet fitness to my house why I go to downtown and glen Burnie

Today my experience changed a little bit. Nothing negative, but I was surprised to know I'd have to speak to a manager of I wanted a new key tag. Seems planet fitness wants us to use the app constantly. I'm not against this, but what about those of us that don't want to always bring our phone to the gym? Not upset but it was surprising.

Really wanted to take the time of providing positive feedback for this location and also highlight Savanna who is so pleasant and kind to guests. She also is very attentive to the facility and ensures duties run smoothly, I really hope management recognizes your work ethic, thanks Savanna! =D

I've been going to this gym for about two months now, dirtiest place I've ever been. There's always a bunch of young kids in there bothering other people doing there workout. And worse of all the employees just sit behind the counter and not do anything. Last time I went there there was vomit in the sink. Finding a new gym asap.

The staff at the reception are little rude, especially when you ask something you don’t understand, not all of them are like that, but most of them. Also some days restrooms are nasty, when you go take shower, you can smell pee on the floor.

I enjoy the atmosphere of the gym. Everyone is friendly and encouraging. I go in early to get my workout in. Special thanks to Harley and Dominic for being great at customer service, keeping the facility clean and stocked with the needs for the customers to wipe off the equipment after usage.

Absolutely Love coming to a drama free atmosphere. Get a good workout. And treat myself to a good massage after. Very clean!

It’s one of the best gyms in this location they have!! The staff is always friendly, and they’re when you need them. Their trainer Kyle is amazing and really knows his stuff. I definitely give them a 10 out of 10!

I drive around town for my work and with the black card membership I can go to any PF nearby, very convenient. Every club I’ve been to is clean with responsive and friendly staff, great variety of machines, weights, classes etc. And nice to use the hydro massage beds at the end of the workout, very relaxing! Clientele runs the gamut, young to old, white, black, Asian, Hispanic and folks who are just starting out trying to improve their fitness up to some super fit people. Lastly you can’t beat the monthly fee!

This place provides everything needed to get in shape. The only thing they are lacking is a sauna, steam room, free weights over 100 lbs, kettle bells and classes. It is not very crowed in the mornings and I rarely have to wait for equipment.

I like this location but I wish the planet fitness had glute machines like other gyms because ibsee machines on social media for glutes but not at planet fitness.

This Planet Fitness has made it soo easy to get back into exercising. I haven't been serious since COVID. Staff are so friendly here and usually recognize me even though I'm pretty new. I love the equipment but I especially love the hydro bed after my workouts. So heavenly! I had been having lower back problems but now that cleared up.

The guests that it attracts are all nice, accepting, and warm. The facility is clean, well organized, and staff are constantly present to help out when needed. The location feels very comfortable.

I like this gym because it’s perfect for when I get off work late, plus they have sufficient equipment. This review lost 1 star based on the inconsistency with the courteousness on MOST of the staff. Most of them don’t greet you, or wish you goodbye. They just look straight at you, and there used to be a female who was ALWAYS head down on the phone, NEVER been greeted by her. This gym also lost 1 star for the cleanliness of the facility. This gym is not dirty. However, way too much papers around and there are like 2 to 3 staffs just standing and talking to each other at the desk. And sometimes the men’s restroom smells like pee.

Everyone is always friendly and attentive. However , the annual fee for signing up could be explained better. I’ve been a member for a year and still hardly understand what the annual fee technically covers

Look, I'm a big girl, and for the first time,I was able to walk into a gym and not be judged. It was awesome, had a great work out and came home feeling peaceful.

Excellent, staff friendly, clean restroom and workout areas, variety of equipment readily available (that could be dependent on the time - I attend between 9:00 /10:00) just overall very very satisfied.

You guys do a good job at social distance keep up the good work :-)

I've been coming here the past month since they reopened. I go late at night and have noticed the same two guys working every night. They've been keeping the place really clean and I noticed they clean every machine and floors routinely. Extremely polite and they do a great job making sure everyone is following the new policy's in place. This is now my go to location for sure.

I was recently in Planet Fitness about 6 months ago I had a heart attack and now I'm back but I joined to one at Mondawmin Mall and I really like it I'm going to keep it 100 that is a really nice Planet Fitness it's clean and they take precautions with the Corolla 19 to keep everyone safe when I joint the gentleman that was very helpful in getting me signed up and giving me a walkthrough I do highly recommend Planet Fitness and you can't beat the price God bless you all everyone be safe

I called this location and someone answered the phone with a “hello”. Soo unprofessional. I had an issue with the random annual charge, “acting general manager” Ricky C was no help at all. Useless.

I had created a membership back in February before covid began. I was told I would only be charged ten dollars per month. Once COVID began and the gym had shut down, I called to cancel my membership and a staff member had kindly told me he would take care of it and I would no longer be charged. However I was charged 40 dollars yesterday for an “annual fee” i have never heard of and when asked for a refund since I was under the impression that a staff member had cancelled my membership, they simply told me there was nothing they can do. Very disappointing and unprofessional. Don’t recommend to anyone

The best gym in town

Oh I’m in love in here now using the hydro massage chair it’s the best thing ever helps my body’s feel so much better after a long day. I’m a server so my body is always stressed and now I know where to come to just relax and not spend so much money

Amazing dedicated staff!! I just want to take the time to acknowledge my experience today at the Catonsville branch gym. I’ve been a long time member at the Catonsville Gym and have always had a good experience. But today staff surpassed my expectations with guest services! I dropped one of my AirPod Pro’s inside of the stair climber. When I approached Mr. Michael he had no issue with stopping what he was doing to come and assist me with looking for it. Then the manager Greg and PF trainer Josiah came along to assist. They looked in every crevice they could see and ended up taking as much of the machine apart as they could with only a screwdriver. Flipped it and shook it to no avail but without giving up. After about 45 min they finally found it!! I am so pleased with my experience today with staff. They could have stopped looking after the first five minutes but they were very dedicated. I am so appreciative of them! Shantaye Haskins

The equipment is old and Rusty and staff is very rude when I first walked in one of the staff members said you really need to hit this gym you need to lose a lot of weight fatty

Planet fitness is a great life changing experience with great workout equipment and excellent customer service reps.

Today was my first day going to the gym and it was a great experience. Most people cleaned after using the equipment, areas were clean and employees were nice. The spa area is great. So far I'm really happy I joined.

Ummm, when I first started going here a few months back it seemed really cool, but since then, I've seen a few things that gives me pause. For instance, members not being held accountable for cleaning the equipment after use, members having full blown super loud conversations on the floor while people are trying to work out, and the treadmills being extremely close to each other. Don't get me wrong, it's really a good place to work out, and most people are respectful, but in this Covid-19 climate that we're currently in, it should definitely be a stricter initiative to keep people healthy and safe.

Great staff and very well maintained facility. However, many of the spa amenities are broken to include the red light therapy and the massage beds with no update on when they will be repaired.

It's always a great time whenever I visit planet fitness in catonsville, it's clean and the employees are nice and kind....

I visited for a day and the gym was real nice. The people were great. I got good vibes and it wasn't over crowded. The shake wasn't all that but at least the service was good.

This morning was my first time attending the PF in Catonsville. It was way better than I expected. It was clean first of all. It was spacious. The staff was very professional. I've been to Reisterstown Plaza, Towson, & Mondawmin. This club is the best.
