Is the worst emergency relief place as ever encountered. Jasmine was one of the individuals who was in charge of my case. I been in the process of trying to receive the grant for rental relief since December 1, 2020. I told Jazmine. I could no long afford the apartment. Due to Jazmine not explaining the stipulations of the grant. I was approved on the last day of my lease. I complained on Jazmine for dragging her feet with the process. She spitefully told me everything when it was to late. Now Jazmine and her manager Ms. Miller keep hanging up, not answering. They have no compassion or empathy for people in need. They have not tried to help in anyway. THEY ARE TO WORST 2 PEOPLE EVER..

Been waiting for about 8 months for rental assistance after the case worker reached out to me saying she was assigned my case yet hasn’t done anything. The case worker is NEVER in office nor replies to any calls or emails. I have literally provided her with over 75 documents and verified everything only to be ghosted 3 months ago after being told my case was being placed in high priority. STRAIGHT RUN AND GAMES. Doesn’t seem to really care either all they say is it’s nothing they can do. Smh it’s pathetic.

Not really helpful. I told them I was homeless and staying in a shelter, all they gave me was a list of where I can find permanent housing like Craigslist, apartmet finder, etc. wouldn’t recommend going to them in terms of housing.

One of the best Charities in Laurel Md. The Staff is caring and dedicated to this cause. I give regularly because I have been there and overcame my circumstances with the grace of God.

I HIGHLY recommend LARS , although the wait can be longer than usual the STAFF are amazing.. very Helpful... they help you with Rental Assistance, Food, Shelter, etc..... My case manager was ALLI Milner I absolutely love HER and my kids do to. She’s very understanding and will help you the very best way that she can... I have nothing but great things too say if you are reading my view all you need within yourself is patience and time! . LARS with assist you

An excellent cause folks. A non profit helping folks in the community keep a roof over their head and food in their stomach. The folks that work there are great as well. Make a donation to a good cause and remember "to the person much is given much is expected". Every little bit helps....in this day and age nobody should have to go homeless or starve in America.

I love this place. The people are very friendly and helpful. They have resources to help you if there's nothing they can do but I've never heard of this place not being able to help someone even if it's in the sense of just giving you referrals.

Although the wait may be long, the case workers here are extremely helpful and understanding. They really listen to your needs and follow through on their end. Plan to spend some time here, it's not a quick in and out, but do expect to be able to get what questions or concerns you have addressed.

Sadly, this was a waste of time. I printed pages and pages of all my bills and when I didn’t hear from anyone (they said they would reach out) I went ahead and used all my money to pay rent. I had to call THEM to find out what happened and she told me I got approved the same morning I paid the rent but because I paid it they couldn’t help me. I said what about my other bills? If I had actually known I had been approved I would’ve paid my other bills and accepted the assistance which I still desperately need. If I was told about my approval I would be okay now, but they did a terrible job communicating and she said I could “reapply”. If you can figure out these peoples timelines and actually get them to contact you good luck

I am in DESPERATE need of help! What was the purpose of providing all of my monthly obligations and bank statements for you to focus on what was held in my bank account? I had a scheduled appointment on 4/7/23. I left (3) VM for Allie Milner whereby she did not have the common courtesy or decency to return my call. Finally, received a call from Jazmine Haley on 5/25 to advise that I had been denied based on what was in my bank account. Essentially, I was expected to exhaust all monies in my accounts before getting any help. I am currently unemployed and now facing eviction. I have initiated a formal complaint with the State OAG for this is not the first time I have encountered issues with this so called Non-Profit.
