This
hotel,
besides
its
beautiful
building
and
large
compound
with
trees,
a
swimming,
she
has
lost
its
lustre.
Although
well
positioned
in
Bamenda,
the
management
is
horrible.
Its
lifts,
functions
according
to
the
epileptic
power
supply
of
the
town.
One
good
thing,
they
have
a
stand-by
functioning
Generator.
As
for
the
negatives,
there
are
many
things
to
point
out:
some
rooms
don't
have
functioning
television
sets
and
there
is
no
Internet
service.
Even
though
air
conditioning
is
not
needed,
most
of
the
established
or
installed
ones
are
bad
and
have
become
hideouts
for
cocroches
and
other
insects.
The
rooms
at
the
5th
&
6th
floor
are
the
only
manageable
ones.
The
standard
has
really
fallen
perhaps
occasioned
by
the
ongoing
Anglophone
crisis
ravaging
the
two
English-speaking
Regions
of
Cameroon.
While
Ayaba
Hotel
is
in
a
deplorable
state,
she
unfortunately
not
the
only
government
run
hotel
that
is
bad
shape.
Itis
the
same
situation
with
most
state
owned
hotels
in
Cameroon.
The
management
and
staffing
are
not
employed
based
on
competence
but
on
tribal
or
political
grounds.
