Such a calm beach to have in Rawai, it’s very scenic. Lovely to sit down for a meal or sunset, lots of boat to hire with very reasonable price. We used Johnny and he is such a good guy, we get on the boat and ready to go, but suddenly got an engine issue, he tried to fix his boat, but seems like it will take a long time, so immediately exchange us to another boat, very friendly and very attentive. I am sure other boat guys are the same. Due to many boats being around, doesn’t seem to be an ideal beach for swimming. Definitely the best place to be with the sea breeze and the view. Many lovely restaurants on the side, which you can order and sit on the beach chair and enjoy the view. There are also seafood markets around, which you can explore, super fresh seafood with many varieties. During the non covid time, there is a Rawai park, but it’s closed at the moment. Many things are closed for now but still much more no life than other beaches. Good vibe around.

Not for swimming. Relatively quiet place on the island of Phuket. As local foreigners say - here you can still see and feel the authentic island of Phuket. I agree.

Very nice sheltered beach with shaded areas to the back. Fairly shallow and good for kids. Small fish around the rocks to either side of the cove - good for snorkelling.

Walk out to the end of the pier, you know, where no fishing is allowed but it’s populated by, well, fishermen - and you’ll get some good views. Pretty cool to see the locals fishing methods as well. But considering so many “fresh seafood” restaurants are located there, I could do without the nasty sanitary conditions, the stenches, as well as the families bathing their children. It’s one of the nastier beaches in Phuket.

As a landscape it was beautiful, the colours of the water sublime, and the pier was nice to walk along as see fish and crabs. The beach small compared to others, had some interesting shells and coral which I was fascinated by. However, unfortunately there was lots of rubbish and fragments of plastic being washed in/waste/ old shells from market thrown onto shoreline behind the market. As a port town and market it's brilliant as boats and water are out of this world (couldn't swim there though). the market with fresh fish and lobster s and all sorts of aliens from there were so much cheaper and sell veg like lemon grass and lime leaves for 10 bhat which I can't find anywhere else (staying in Patong). Great to walk down for a few hours and take some stunning photos before you catch a boat to surrounding islands but not to spend half a day or a day lounging in sun.

Nice place in Phuket. If you want eat a live seafood 🦞 this is the place. There are many sellers who sell a live seafood which kind you want then take them to any restaurant to cook them for you only 100 bht for a kilo.

I love this place for the fabulous seafood and beautiful clear sea with shades of blue and turquoise green. Buy your fish/seafood from the market stalls and take across to the restaurants opposite to have it cooked for 100Bht/Kilo. If you walk to the end of the Pier you get great views and often local kids are having fun jumping off the jetty into the sea. You can't visit Phuket and not go to Rawai.

Ok for chilling on the sand but you can't swim or sunbathe there as the water is occupied and polluted by boats, and the whole stretch of sand is shaded by trees. Better visit the nearby cafe's or just go to another beach.

Rawai Beach is a popular place for foreigners to live including us. Stunning islands are just a kilometre or so away. In the middle of Rawai is a reef and to the Yan Nu side a beautiful beach covered by shady trees. Perfect spot for young families.

This beach is a beautiful fisherman's beach. Just so it's clear for everyone this beach is NOT for sunbathing or the best to swim in (although you could if you really wanted to). It's full of fisherman with a market that is full of fresh fish and seafood along with some small fish eateries/restaurants.

Nice place to have seafood dinner in the afternoon. You buy seafood by the weight og any kind and take it to a retaurant by the sea side to cook, BBQ it or fry it. The quality is very good and fresh. I will recommand a visit ther.

Not the greatest beach for swimming, but get that Phuket sea view photo

Not much of a beach but it does boast a good seafood market with the biggest tiger prawns you are likely to find. Your chosen seafood can be purchased from one shop and cooked at any if the restaurants at a very reasonable price. It also has a small supermarket and clothing stores.

Love the views from Rawai Beach and the trees for shade with seats along the road, so one can relax and enjoy the views, just add to the peacefulness of the opportunity ceased.

Enjoyed sitting next to the seawall with friends for a meal. Island views in the distance. Many shops and places to eat.

The southernmost beach in Phuket. Not the cleanest or most swimming friendly place as this is a major landing and departure point for a lot of the island tours. The sand is kind of claggy and there is a constant smell of gasoline from all the moored boats. Very picturesque though, with the islands just offshore and the myriad boats bobbing up and down in the water. Lined with restaurants and the usual mandatory massage places, this beach epitomises "small" Phuket. Unfortunately someone has bought out a huge tract of land and demolished almost a fourth of the shops on the seafront. Destroying the character of the place with what will no doubt be some monstrosity. Parking is disciplined with all the two wheelers lining the beach side of the road. There is plenty of well demarkated four wheeler parking on the land side of the road . At the entrance to the pier there is a you-buy, we-fry fish market combined with food stalls and restaurants where your fresh purchase will be cooked up in a style and taste of your choosing.

Netty. Was. Here. Nice location to stop in at, depending on tides. There is a local walking street with shopping, fresh seafood and restaurant/bars. The Shell Museum might be closed but there is a great collection of shells and pearl souvenirs to buy in this location.

Not a beach!! Sure there are nice restaurants and a seafood market where you can enjoy food and drinks with a sea view! You can also go to nearby islands by tail boat, about 1,300B for a trip. Other than that , if what you want to do is bask in the sun by the beach and swim, not the place!

Great place as a start of your boat trip to the islands; however it is totally not made for a peaceful joyful rest by the water. There are plenty of coffee shops, restaurants, bars, supermarkets, and exchange offices.

Not really a "beach". Few bars and massage around. Crazy road cars going stupid fast (like most of Phuket). Wanted coffee at 5pm but appeared most cafe's closed so hot at 711 and walked along the pier chasing crabs

A really nice beach to sit by and enjoy your time. There aren’t many people during the day and you can sit there and enjoy the view.

Nice beach to talk along - not really for swimming from what I saw. A bunch of food and drink options

😠 On the beach, a man walk geese, which he hits with a stick when they try to get ashore. Geese swim in sea water for hours to entertain tourists. Geese are not seabirds! they also spread diseases! it's called animal cruelty. Children splash at the geese, grab them by the legs, and everyone has a lot...
