The Whyte Estate
Historical landmark
👍 Enjoyable walk and wildlife but a decent level of fitness and mobility is required.
We regularly walk here and would recommend it for a visit because of the varied terrain, birdlife and history.
However it is not suitable for those with mobility issues because it is steep in parts, has sets of steps...

Solitude Park
Park
👍👍 A beautiful place to visit. Green and lush grass, birds chirping, and fish jumping. Apt name for the park, very peaceful! Only issue is that the observatory deck overlooking the river is cordoned off. A great place to bring the family.

FE McWilliam Gallery & Studio
Art gallery
👍👍 Lovely gallery with friendly, knowledgeable staff. Exhibitions change regularly. Great cafe serving coffee, traybakes and lunch overlooking the beautiful garden. The gallery celebrates the work of local sculptor FE McWilliams and has his workshop in the garden.
