This place hasn't had a proper deep clean in years. There was black mould on the walls in the toilets. The bed was old with a saggy mattress. There were no bulbs in the bedside lamps. The bedside tables were chipped and old and run down.

No gravy with my roast beef. Gran near died when she seen Mt Everest in mash form approaching her. Dry beef, like eating a leather sofa. Last time we ate like this, the Germans were flying overhead. Never coming back kids are miserable. Cheers

Carvery was good but very shocked to pay for the bill and see we were charged over £5 for a Pepsi max. They didn’t have a drinks menu but you would think it wouldn’t be more than £3

Went to the restaurant for something to eat last weekend, I struggle to see where the good reviews come from as this place was the stuff of nightmares. I had to unstick the glasses and cutlery from the table, I used a wet napkin to clean the table - the napkin was black with dirt after using it, the table had clearly not been cleaned in a long time. The lady then came to take our order and sat on the table to do so. My partner and I ordered two different burgers but were both presented with the same meal, the food was nothing short of disgusting - the cheapest beef I’ve ever come across which was close to raw. I didn’t even attempt to eat it or wash it down with the flat pint of beer in a dirty glass. I have been unwell since my visit, I will never set foot across the door again.

Place looks a little run-down from the outside. Pleasant staff but service was very slow. Drinks order had to be given twice before it arrived. Food (when it did arrive) was tasty and seemed fresh.

It wasn't bad but could be better, bath was very narrow as shower was over the bath had no room to turn and curtain kept sticking to body was very annoying. Pillows were very uncomfortable and children running up and down the hall outside rooms made it hard to sleep. Food is average sometimes its great other times not so much. Bartender was a bit rude and would change the beer keg so I could get the beer I wanted and had to choose something else. Needs more attention to details.

Can't comment on the rooms as we only went for a meal, it was lovely and the staff were very attentive despite being rushed off their feet, have given four stars as although the ladies toilets were spotless, they would benefit from an update.

Our stay at hotel was an amazing experience. The room itself was always in excellent and good condition. The wonderful service from all the staff especially Mizanur and Juliet was the best thing about our stay as they were always friendly, helpful and took good care of us. We look forward to staying at this hotel again.

Desperately needs a update to the rooms, bathroom is quite modern with a decent shower. Bed was fairly comfortable but nothing special. Check-in was ok but the guy put down wrong card details which had to be ammended later. Mix up with ordering breakfast as we were charged as a walk in as opposed to a guest, this was sorted albeit a little confusing. Only had breakfast as a meal which is pretty decent and filling. Juice, cereals and toast available with a separate menu for a cooked breakfast. No problems with parking as there is plenty of spaces. Unfortunately as mentioned needs updating.

Secluded Beachfront Paradise lived up to its name, offering a private slice of heaven on the shore. Our beachfront bungalow was well-appointed, and the sound of the waves was a constant lullaby. The resort staff were attentive and created a personalized experience. This is a place where the beach becomes your sanctuary.

Booked for afternoon tea. Seated right away and tea and coffee came out. 30 minutes later we had to ask for the sandwiches etc as our tea had gone cold and quite simply we felt forgotten about. They then proceeded to serve the other table who arrived 15 minutes after we did. Food was OK but not worth 18 quid a head. 3 types of sandwiches a few scones and a few miniature buns. No one came to check if everything was OK until a further 30 minutes later by which we gave up and went to pay. Room we were in had no atmosphere and needs refurbishment as not very Inviting. Really disappointed as was a mother's day treat.

Tired. Worn. Dated. Grimy. But good value and excellent staff. Wedding food was excellent, breakfast food was just poor greasy spoon standard. A very mixed bag.

A lovely festive afternoon tea with family ❤️. Very good value for money and the staff were very attentive. Would definitely recommend a wee treat of afternoon tea. I've had the regular afternoon tea as well as the festive afternoon tea and both equally as good

Party of 6 went on a Sunday, food was great and good value. I ordered the salmon and it exceeded my expectations, , compliments to the chef. The serving staff behind the carvery were so lovely and friendly. My only fault was it was a bit unorganised coming in, no clear direction on how things operated. Just sat down and waited for about 15 mins before asking a waiter for help, none of our group were aware you just line up, it was clear on the menu you had to pre order the salmon so we were waiting for service. We had to ask for drinks and on our second round they forgot to bring them out, they were busy and had an 18th on today. It was uncomfortably warm where we sat. Other than that it was great, can’t praise the serving staff on today enough. Great people.

Had a lovely carvery lunch with family. Pescatarians we’re well catered for with delicious salmon. Staff were helpful and friends. Can’t fault it. We’ll be back.

Thank you for taking care of our riders during their stay. They were enduring a rough day with weather and traffic problems and the hotel allowed them to check in late. Incredibly helpful and welcoming/.

Although we didn’t stay at the hotel itself, we came for dinner at the restaurant as a treat. The servers were friendly and attentive and food was delivered quickly. However, kitchen attention to detail and quality of ingredients were poor. I ordered the mixed grill which was mostly perfect, although - despite boasting of using the best local produce - the sausages were very low meat percentage. This was a real shame considering the rest of the meat was cooked well and good quality. Additionally, the chips were very anaemic and could have done with longer in the fryer. Dessert was quite limited in choice. The chocolate brownie ended up being chocolate orange which I loved, but a member of our group didn’t as they dislike orange (note: orange wasn’t mentioned on the menu). The kitchen also didn’t hull the strawberries meaning the stems were left on when served. Overall an okay meal, but for the price I could have had a better meal at a chain steakhouse. Will unfortunately not be in a hurry to return.

We went on Wednesday the 2nd November. The service is okay but the food was poor and like something from the 80's even though they charge 2022 prices. Won't be going again

Booked a reservation for 7pm, turned up and a member of staff told us to take a seat for a few minutes while the table is getting ready. 20 minutes later we had to ask another staff member if our table was ready yet and have to say she was pleasant and apologetic about the wait. We ordered from the date night menu which states you get "Two Mains, Two Sides and Two Drinks for £30". Girlfriend and I both ordered mains which state that they are both "served with" chips along with 2 sides (we ordered garlic bread and onion rings). Mains arrived with no chips so we asked for some. By the time they arrived we had both finished our mains. We then enquired why we had not received these in the first place to be told that the chips which are clearly stated as being "served with" the main dish were actually counted as side orders and we would be charged extra for these. The menu clearly needs reworded better or explained when ordering as was agreed by the member of staff who took our payment. Food was ok nothing special. Very disappointing evening.

This hotel is a must visit. In a lovely location with beautiful grounds. The rooms are spacious with every amenity available. The facilities are excellent. The restaurant serves a wide range of food to suit every taste. The staff are so friendly and helpful, the management are so efficient and informative and are so accommodating in every way. It was a pleasure to visit the hotel and to be looked after by such a kind and caring staff. The hotel is very aware of the current restrictions and has taken all the necessary precautions to render the premises safe. The staff adhere to mask wearing and social distancing which is very reassuring in the current situation. I have no hesitance in thoroughly recommending the Bannville as a place to visit, relax and enjoy.

Had tea on Friday 3rd June. Service was very poor. When I got my meal the champ was cold. No one was about to get it heated up so I just ate it. I would have seen through it if the hotel had been very busy. I did say to the girl on the way out when I was paying for the meal. Very disappointed and I most certainly wouldn't be recommending to any of my friends.
