A fabulous little coffee shop with a chilled out modern cosy vibe. Lovely friendly staff. Absolutely wonderful coffee, a great selection of tasty cakes and treats.. Vegan and vegetarian options available. Also dog friendly! 🐕

Always one of our favourite places to visit for a coffee and cake in the area. Exceptionally friendly staff and the coffee is always superb. Highly recommended, a local gem.

Popped in yesterday 21/9 for the first time. Lovely smiles and friendly greeting by a young man who served me a tasty coffee and cake, service was very good. The lady even enquired if I was being looked after whilst my coffee was being prepared -- I certainly was. It's a bit out of the way and you have to know that it is there, but it is a hidden gem.

Great cake, coffee and staff are amazing. I give my poor rating on the fact it is cash only. My elderly mother wants to go in but she doesn't have a bank card only a basic atm one to get cash out. It is unfair the elderly are usually the ones that this silly no cash thing affects. I also would like a choice as sometimes low on funds in my account and want to use cash, all customers should have the choice

Lovely Traditional but Modern Community Coffee Shop. Good Coffee, Friendly and Relaxed Atmosphere where you can sit and really chill out. They have a nice selection of cakes and toasted sandwiches with the added option of a soup of the day if your feeling peckish. The Coffee is really nice and much better than what you get from a Costa or Starbucks! The staff are always helpful and very friendly. Well worth a visit!

The only place a great coffee can be bought in Oxfordshire. Always seem to have a variety of V60s available and parking available right outside the building, which alone sets it apart from the competition. Josh has also been extremely helpful when selecting a drink and also provided valuable insight into the selection to choose from.

Lovely local cafe, service is always friendly and prompt. The coffee has been excellent every time and their passion for it really shows. The cakes and snacks are great too; they always have gluten free options when we go, which we appreciate. This place is a gem for us locals and in my opinion is worth a trip from further afield.

It’s hard to imagine a more miserable, rude manager. His regard for COVID is lacking: mask down and head round the side of the plastic guard. He will insist he knows your coffee order so you better hope you don’t want any extras. Last visit, I witnessed him refuse service to a mum with a pram. And he barks at everyone. Customer or staff member. I feel bad for the people that have to work for him. Coffee is alright. Service is shockingly slow. The one saving grace was a smiling barista today. But I’ve never seen him before and I hope COVID allows him a new opportunity to leave before the negative energy from the manager affects him. Ps. The Costa website says Mini is 2 shots. Nice try trying to short sell me.

Costa Coffee serves ok coffee. Customers have to queue up to order, like in many other coffee shops. (I'm sorry, that never impresses me.) Food? Not for me, doesn't look appealing, nothing different to any other shop, nothing unique, special just for Costa Coffee. Today, unfortunately, there was a long queue. I couldn't hear the shop assistant and the two 'more important' Costa people observing the service made me feel uncomfortable.

Decided to check out FLTR coffee, had quite the wait for the coffee, maybe just less than 20 minutes, it also took 25 minutes for the panini’s which were actually toasted sandwiches. The coffee I had was ok, quite milky, nothing special in my opinion.

FLTR=Fantastic Coffee. Nice independent coffee shop with great service and even better coffee. We also tried the toasties which were delicious. They are well set up for the current COVID-19 situation with screens at the tills, plenty of hand sanitiser and a very clean environment. We sat outside as they currently not doing seating inside. The order was taken and table service was provided. All in all, a good experience.

Went to Costa at 3 this afternoon and had the best service I've ever had there! I didn't get his name but the guy on the coffees was really friendly and cheerful! He went out of his way to make our drinks right and made sure they had lots of cream and gingerbread men on them! Honestly this guy deserves a promotion, 8/10 times I go in there the staff are miserable and get my order wrong, so it was a nice change having such good service!

Lots of helpful and friendly staff that work hard to keep it clean and tidy. It's often pretty busy but staff work hard to make sure you are not waiting too long. I normally opt for a flat white but fancied a hot chocolate this week so tried to the billionaires hot chocolate (Christmas special) I didn't actually get much of a look in as my 6 year old took a liking for it! It's my favourite place to get a flat white in Bicester and I have tried a few places!! ☕☕

On one visit I cannot fault them, hot chocolate was lovely and hot, was able to melt my marshmallows, on my second visit hot chocolate not as hot was able to drink straight away, they had no marshmallows left, so I was unable to test the melting in the hot chocolate

Visited the Costa Coffee within Next at Bicester Gateway. Ordered coffee and brownie was served by very friendly staff. I sat down to enjoy my break and enjoyed listening to the trio of staff having a right good giggle. Its lovelyvto see/hear staff happy in their work, it runs off on the customers. All in all it was a very pleasant first visit and I shall be back at the weekend with hubby. Time of visit was around 12 30pm, didnt get staff names but hopefully this will get back to them. Thank you

One of the best, if not the best coffee shops in the area. All drinks I’ve had there have been great and they even put motivational compliments on the lids! Food is good too!

  • 5/5 Naddy F. 6 years ago on Google
Excellent place to catch up with friends. Cozy ambience, comfortable seating, chilled music and everybody loves the coffee (I find it a bit strong). The variety of tea is good. They have several beans for you to choose from, there is the option to have soy milk instead of cow’s milk and they also have a few things to go with your coffee. My favorites are the oaty flapjacks because those are vegan. There is also a corner with some toys and board games for the kids to get entertained. Well behaved dogs are welcome and they even have a water bowl outside in the warmer months.

Probably the best coffee shop in Bicester, if not Oxfordshire. We are frequently going to FLTR because of its quality. I've had coffee in pretty much every cafe in Bicester and Oxford and I can say, by miles, FLTR tops them all.

  • 5/5 Daniel R. 1 year ago on Google
Exceptional coffee. Best in Bicester if not Oxfordshire. Bicester really needs more coffee shops like FLTR. Blows all competition out of the water. Living in Melbourne Australia for the past 11 years I would regard FLTR as high as a Australian superior coffee shop for quality of the roast. UK seems behind regards to quality coffee shops. Bicester really needs another FLTR cafe. I do not rate any other coffee shop in Bicester. The toasties are nice and tasty also!

Had the best cup of tea and slice of Bakewell tart ever! This local independent community focused coffee shop is amazing. As you might imagine, such a community place is great for babies too, I felt very welcomed when I went with my little baby. I can't recommend this place enough...you must go!! **Update, been again amd still brilliant! Pumpkin cake was delicious (almost too good as by the time I'd got my camera out we'd eaten most of it.
