This is the story of my trip to Lhok Keutapang. Aceh has many beautiful hidden beaches. One reference is Lhok Keutapang in Aceh Besar. The struggle to get to this beach is commensurate with the beauty it offers. Aceh Besar is one of the districts in the province at the western tip of the island of Sumatra. Aceh Besar is directly adjacent to the capital of Aceh. West Aceh has extraordinary natural potential both on land and in the sea. When it comes to natural tourism potential, especially marine tourism, Aceh Besar is ranked in that regard. Call it Lampuuk beach in Lhoknga sub-district, a beach with white sand which is always busy with local and even foreign tourists. Not only that, the panorama of land and mountains is also not inferior to other areas. Lhok Keutapang Beach is located at the very tip of the island of Sumatra, a place hidden behind a mountain in the Ujong Pancu area, Peukan Bada, Aceh Besar. The journey here takes approximately 2.5 hours through the wilderness, the journey to get here is commensurate with the beauty on offer. I went here with my friends, which consists of 7 people. To get here you really need maximum energy, how could it not be, to get here we have to go through the wilderness on foot, and the route we take to get there is not flat, the route after 50 meters we walk straight uphill to the top of the hill. After that, we have to be careful going down the hill because the slope is approximately 45 degrees. During the trip, we also stopped several times to rest for a while. Lhok Keutapang not only has beaches, but is also suitable for hiking. Lhok Keutapang Beach is about 20 minutes' drive from Banda Aceh City. From the city center take the direction to Ulee Lheu. Just continue towards Ujong Pancu until you pass Lambadeuk Reservoir. From there, turn towards community plantations with uphill and downhill land contours and not covered with asphalt. To the left, a hut is the climbing point to Lhok Keutapang. From here the real journey begins. Prepare your energy because you will be tracking for about 1 hour by crossing four tributaries. Please follow the path surrounded by dense forest until it ends at the mouth of Lhok Keutapang beach which is framed by rocky rocks. However, the beauty on offer will make the tired travel pay off What a beautiful nature that Allah SWT has. created, therefore we must be grateful for what Allah SWT has given us. ❤

Lhok Keutapang Beach, located in Lam Pageu Village, Peukan Bada, Aceh Besar. To get there from Banda Aceh, you have to travel by motorized vehicle for 15-20 minutes. Next, the vehicle is parked in a residential area. From here we have to climb the hill, through the forest. Travel time is approximately 3 hours. The terrain that must be traversed is quite difficult with slopes in some places reaching 45 degrees. Even when going down a hill we have to be careful because of this. Before reaching the beach we will be greeted by a field of waist-high weeds. The stretches of sand and beaches are still very well preserved, and on one of the hidden beaches in Aceh Besar we can also camp with our closest friends and friends. We can choose several spots to set up tents along the beach. Starting from between the trees to near the cliffs and small cave at the left end of the beach. White sand, coral rocks and small shells lie along the Lhok Keutapang beach. Looking towards the sea, we can see Bunta Island in front and Bate Island to the right. From the right side of the beach stretches hills, trees, and cliffs on the left. And here we can also pamper our eyes with underwater views, we guarantee you won't be disappointed with this tourist spot. Also, supplies for going to Lhok Keutapang must be prepared carefully, especially clean water. This is due to the lack of clean water sources around the beach. The closest source of clean water from the beach is about half an hour's drive into the forest.

Beautiful and hidden. That is the right sentence to describe Lhok Keutapang. The journey to get here is commensurate with the beauty on offer. Located at the entrance to Ujong Pancu, which is the zero point of Sumatra Island, this beach offers peace because it is far from the hustle and bustle of urban areas.

Very gorgeous But unfortunately, most of the beach trees were cut even though it was a very beautiful shelter, not the same as in 2018, the first time I went there 😏
