I walked to Church this bright Saturday afternoon. What a beautiful little church with stained glass in every window. Mass was at 7.00pm and there were about 60 people present. Mass times here at 5.00pm and 7.00pm on Saturday and 9.00am on Sunday. The Priest explained that a large part of his congregation are Filipinos who work as cleaning staff, chefs and porters in hotels and restaurants and aren’t able to come to Mass at the more traditional mid-morning times. The Filipino congregation included a small choir which led the singing and sang hymns familiar to me. I was sat beside a father and son from Bemidji in Minnesota. The father was about my age and the son in his thirties. We stopped and discussed where we were from after we left the Church. It was nice to receive a warm welcome in this community for which I was very grateful.

Lovely church. We attended a wedding at this church and found it very intimate and cozy. Plenty of seating and the priest officiating was very good and entertaining. There is lots of green space outside for guests and photos. Plenty of parking is available on the streets as well.

Beautiful place of worship! Happy to find a good Catholic Mass in the park. Very tourist welcoming. I went to the Saturday at 5pm mass and one of the parishioners explained the history of the Banff parish and the artwork within. The stained glass work is beautiful. The priest asked everyone where they were visiting from so it felt very welcoming.

The priest was an example of what a representative of Christ should be. People were very friendly.

I have been to many churches across the world and this is certainly up there in the top list of most peaceful and beautiful. Placed right across the mountains with an antique construction and beautifully maintained garden. Its one of the best place to go if you are trying to spend some peaceful time with god.

Beautiful church which is strategically located on the walk back from the Gondola to the free parking area in Banff. Spending time in there with my kids was a perfect way to end our visit to Banff.

Such a sad day for me. I was visiting Banff and walked by the church. Hoping it was open for some prayer, I went in as I discovered that the doors were unlocked. There was a wedding happening, as the sign outside indicated: wedding at 1:00 pm and I noted the time was 1:50 as I entered. Final blessings over the bride and groom as I knelt down on the floor, no kneeler, hands over my face, I began to pray. Soon a woman approached me and asked me to leave, as it was a private event. I wondered, “why were the doors unlocked?” I quietly said I was praying in a Catholic Church, and asked the woman if she REALLY was asking me to leave. She said, “ that’s what my boss wants.” I left. Father, please have the doors locked if the Sanctuary is unavailable for pilgrims to pray.

This is a very welcoming parish with a fascinating history. The design incorporates local elements, such as Lake Louise in one stained glass window, a nativity scene in another window with elk, moose, etc. and carved stations of the cross in which the artist included himself (wearing glasses!).

Quiet, not crowded during our visit, quite a challenge to find parking though.

Extremely welcoming, father Dan welcomes all… I was agnostic at the doors….as I am not one to easily accept…. the more I see in the world, the more I accept….. Fantastic church…. Given a one on one meeting through arrangement by email, very insightful. Zero monetary funds needed for a meeting with father Dan, a blessing and a bible to take home…. I encourage anyone with any questions to stop by… change your life for the Good.

Beautiful little church. The pastor always makes a point to ask who is visiting the area and where they are from. He always encourages people to sing, too. He even chooses hymns with a mountain theme! Whether you're a Ragin' Cajun from Louisiana, or a sun-burned farm hand from Saskatchewan, if you love to belt out a tune, come here and join in. Also, the local Phillipinos make this parish their home. All are welcome.
