If you want kilometres upon kilometres of amazing cross country ski trails, you’ve found the place. Home of the 1988 Olympics, they maintain excellent condition trails for both skate and classic x-country skiing. There’s a warming hut about 3.5km from the day lodge so you can heat up & a couple of picnic tables along the way to stop and relax/rest/snack. There’s also a rental spot right at the parking lot that provides skis for about $52/day. They also have lessons in the AM. Just a short 5min drive from downtown Canmore! Highly recommend.

Extremely clean building. Staff were very courteous. Lots of acivities rentals going on here. Nice little picnic area with picturesque views. Park pass is 15$ /day or 95$ for the year. Plenty of parking and a beachy, sup area close by with beautiful blue water.

Large variety of well maintained trails. Lodge is large and clean for warming up or grabbing a bite to eat or drink. Also has a warming hut a bit further out as well as small unheated open shelters for readjusting skis or having a snack.

It’s perfect and absolutely beautiful 😻. You can do ⛷️ ski in heaven. All facilities are great. There’s one restaurant also and one rental store to rent all equipment.

Great place for sledding, country skiing and ice skating. Surrounded with beautiful Rockies scenery. It has cafeteria with lots of indoor tables & chairs. Very clean washrooms. Can’t wait to go back there in the summer to try mountain biking / hiking.

I can’t speak for winter activities but in the summer this is the place to be for downhill biking. There is an extensive network of bike trails from rookie to pro and the bike rental on site rents very good quality bikes.

Fun course with a decent variety. Finding hole 1 is a challenge so use UDisc to guide you. I like that they had a practice basket as well as alternate tees for little ones or newbies. Good signage and teepads.

Incredible venue for our wedding. The location is so gorgeous and perfect for an outdoor ceremony. The day couldn't have gone better thanks to our INCREDIBLE wedding planner Maren, who is a part of the nordic centre team. She was so organized and my family couldn't stop talking about how well planned everything was. The catering and bar staff were also so great and lovely to chat with. I had a lot of comments from my guests saying the food was the best they have ever had at a wedding! I can't think of a single tiny critique. It really was the perfect location, food, and staff!

My favorite place to train since they keep the trails in great shape. I always enjoy the scenery when I ski along the trails. The price is affordable. I do go there at night, after work, to ski. It's free after hours. Some trails are lit during the evening.

We actually played disc golf here - it was a super tough course so we were happy to tag along with some locals for 9 holes. I was hoping to get a cross-country ski lesson since that’s been on my bucket list for awhile but those had not started yet. There were people out on a course that looped around the day lodge though.

We had such an awesome day at the Canmore Nordic center! We came for cross country skiing and ended up getting an awesome lesson from Matthew at the ski rental shop. He was an awesome teacher and gave us lots of time to figure our technique out. We ended up staying around the practice area a bit longer after the lesson was over then attempted the trails. If we tried to skate ski without the lessons, I imagine we wouldn’t have gotten up the first hill. Thanks again Matthew!

Lovely area to cross country ski with many different trails for all abilities. Gorgeous and picturesque views of the mountains and a lovely warming hut out on the trails.

I was there to watch biathlon. Unfortunately the stadium was under construction, and the jumbotron points the wrong direction, so fans had limited views. That being said, the wintersport museum in the Center is not to be missed. The staff was friendly. The scenery was beautiful. I look forward to returning for more IBU events in years to come.

Never been here or hear about it until I did a trail run. So many trails to choose from and great views. Too bad I don't XC Ski as it seems like a great place to be.

I always loved coming here when I was younger to go mountain biking, and I still love it! The trails are super fun and the lodge is great, and the staff were super friendly as well. The service shop also fixed my bike seat after it broke! So it was still able to be a great experience! The views were beautiful as always, so I highly recommend coming here!

Just amazing! Groomed classic tracks like no other, wide trails for skaters... challenging hills. So much to explore. Breathtaking mountain views. A must for any xc skier.

We had a wonderful time here at the Nordic center! As beginners we didn't know what to expect at first on a private lesson. But the staff at the rental center explained everything well and even helped us put on the gears. And the view, oh my, my phone with shaky fingers cannot do the justice for the scene. The best of the entire experience was our coach Petr. He knows how to get us to progress with techniques, also he showed us what to practice when we are on our own afterwards. And he's an amazing photographer, when two of us the parents busy staying Balanced, he was back skiing and taking photos and videos for our kids. So we have something to take back for the memory. I'd recommend him to anyone. Thank you Petr!!

Great place to visit all year round. We particularly enjoy visiting during the winter season. During summer there are tons of activities to do but my favorites are biking and hiking.

Great experience! We tackled the very-challenging disc golf course as a couple of amateurs from wide-open Saskatchewan and definitely struggled to avoid all the trees! Amazing course - can't wait to come back and try it again some day!

Absolutely lovely event center. I recently had my wedding here, we chose the Bow Valley Vista location for our ceremony and the Day Lodge for the reception area. Both were absolutely stunning!!!! We had 60 people and the reception space was the perfect size to dance and eat and feel comfortable in. The ceremony location was amazing also. The mountains in the back and the bridge behind us were so nice. I can't recommend this place enough and Abby was our wedding coordinator and helped us SOO MUCH.

Amazing trail running trails and bike paths. Staff was so helpful. There are resturants, bike shop and more. Beautiful views of the mountains. I ran 9km up and down the single lane trails, very impressed.

Amazed at how beautiful and entertaining this site is. I've biked here a few times and it never disappoints. Definitely requires some skill and cardio to navigate but there are some green runs for the less experienced

👍👍 I love Canmore Alberta. There is something so amazing about being surrounded by open air, water and mountains. This recent trip was so much better than the last one pre covid. We stayed in Banff during our previous trip and stayed in Canmore on this one. I really was able to appreciate the differe...

👍👍 Short walking distance from Canmore city! The view is amazing with lake, tree, grass and mountains. The contrast between human-made structure and the nature look great in a photo. 👍👍 Great muscle burning trail, very well maintained, but cleats are necessary and poles would be helpful. The views along the trail are amazing and from the top - simply off the charts 👌 😍.
