A rooftop bar at 6/F floor of ChingCha hostel overlooking the city hall square, enjoying spetacular Sao Ching Cha, Wat Suthat, City Hall and sunset old own view. No lift, and climb up 6 staircases decorated with witty taglines to keep you motivated. Food and drinks are tasty with reasonable price. Lot of beer, cocktail and mocktail options with many local and western food as good pairing. Enjoy a Tomyum pot, or fish and chips chilling with your drink, at the old town roof, very relaxing. Among great view and other things, I particularly like these fun fact or details that I can feel the owner is thoughtful and creative: - Handwritten and drawn "road map" menu guiding you what food to pair with what drinks. - The logo design has great cultural concept in the sense that the point on "i" of "swing" looks like a Thai auspicious marking on building, and "BAR" was extended apparently aspired by the shape of the famous landmark nearby, Sao Ching Cha (Big Swing). Letter A features the Big Swing itself. - Probably no second bar can enjoy so many views of famous temples in old town. Don't miss the view at the back of the bar, aka Golden Mountain and Phrasa Loha. - There are many good restaurants nearby, such as near City Hall, Phratu Pee intersection, just 3-5 min walks. A good place for a sunset or after meal drink! - There are 2 floors of the bar itself to enjoy different tier of views. It's outdoor but usually breezy, and there's enough fans supply to keep you cool outdoor. Staff are very attentive and patient to look after guests at both floors.

This bar is on the 6th and 7th floor of the ChingCha Hostel. I didn’t see an elevator. But the view is worth climbing up the stairs. I can recommend this place. I didn’t try the food, but the cocktails are great. I had the Pina Colada, the Blue Margarita and the Screw Driver. You should definitely come right before sunset and enjoy the sunset. The place gets busy, so come in time to get a good seat!

Small bar above a hostel. Offers a beautiful view of the Giants Swing on two terraces. At the back there is a view towards the Golden Mount. There is a selection of cocktails, various beers and small dishes. Prices in the middle range. The sixth floor is reached via a narrow little staircase. Relaxed atmosphere, no dress code

The views are the best part of it. The place is chill but the cocktails were definitely not the best. I even left half of one. In terms of prices I guess is not bad. I left a picture with them incase you want to give it a check to the menu before deciding to go.

I love the sunset vibe at Swing Bar. You guys should be there around 5pm in the weekends since there are many will be there to see the sunset. The food and beverage are affordable. I would recommend truffle fries which is not in a menu but you can order it.

It's a good place to enjoy sunset view. Many different kinds of beer, cocktail and thai food. It's ideal for chilling out, watching a giant swing and the temple.

    - 6th floor with narrow staircase - Beer menu most of them is sold out. - Food and drink is over price (you can have this price from ⭐️⭐️⭐️ restaurants - I don’t feel clean with table and chair - definitely will not get back.

It's located on the 5th floor of Ching Char hostel, there isn't an elevator so you need to walk up there but worth it. You will get a nice view of Wat Suthep in return. Great drinks and staffs, would like to come back if I'm in the area.

Great bar especially for cocktails. Located at the top of a hotel. No elevator so you have to take the stairs to the 6th floor but it's definitely worth it. Small nice pub menu with fresh and good tasting food, but you go here for the drinks good service and the view. You can see the whole plaza and the nearby temple and it has a great atmosphere. Prices are good we paid 1000 bath for 2 cocktails 2 beers and 3 dishes of food. Really recommend for a nice relaxing evening with cocktails or beer .

The bar is located on 6th floor of Ching Cha hotel and you will have to take a stair to go up there but it worth. The view, the vibe, the food, the drink, the music, everything is perfect to me. If you want to have a good view in Giant Swing area, you must try this bar. Love this place a lot.

Great relaxing rooftop bar located in a hostel with great views over “The Giant Swing” and Buddhist temple. Open to midnight serving local food to 10.30pm. Good quality reasonably priced food and cocktails/beers.

I will go here for the view, weekends are crowded. But climbing 6 flights of stairs are worth the view. They do have a good collection of drinks

Awful service. We ordered food and two drinks. They brought a drink and then nothing, we waited 40 minutes and decided to leave. They said they forgot the rest of the order and didn't even apologize. Such a bad attitude. This place should hire competent and smiling employees, for a change.

Beautiful view from the 6-7th floor. There's no stairs. Good food with reasonable price and a fiery cocktail. A great way to relax with friends at the end of the day

One of the many sky bars around. Very good food, the rooftop view could be better. Cocktails - so so, it’s hard to feel any alcohol inside.

The bar is on top of the hostel. Walk up about 5 floors. But when I saw the view from the top, my tiredness disappeared.

The best thing here is the view & ambience of the old town. Wide selection of beers and spirits. Mid price range. The roof bar is on the sixth floor. Need some exercise to climb up there by the back ladder of the building. Be warned do not drink too much as you need to climb down as well.

Great rooftop spot by the famous swing in front of the city hall. A bit of a walk up to the 6th floor. Nice and breezy but the toilet smell from time to time. Staff are nice. Theres a seperate area for smokers ( thank god ). Food available. Craft beer prices average at 200 baht with a lot of selection. Recommended.

The rooftop bar is located on the 6th floor of the hostel. There is no elevator only small stairs to take beside the building. Here is a great option for sunset viewing you can see chilling vibe of bkk and the famous temple from the bar. There are variety of craft beer and beer from tap. Food is okay nothing special. And please be careful do not get drunk as you need to walk down the stair to get back to your place lol

It is a rooftop bar on Ching Cha hostel located next to the city hall and the giant swing 'Sao Ching Cha'. It has a great selection of craft beer from in and outside of Thailand. Most of all, it is so nice to sit on its balcony side where you can overlook the old city of Bangkok. I could feel the breeze and had a great time with my friends here at this lovely bar.

Zero negative things to say about Swing Bar! This place was recommended to me by an interpreter I work with and it did not disappoint! The views are amazing and the beer and food were great too. I had the seafood Tom yum soup...it came in a bowl kept hot by an open flame! How cool!

Super nice location near Khaosan road. This bar is hiding on top of a hostel which doesn’t have an elevator. But while walking upstairs there are so many slogans to encourage you keep going, which is really fun. There are 2 floors out door seats. You can choose to sit facing the outside (1-2 people) or on the table if visiting as a group. The food and drinks here are good with reasonable price. Highly recommend the Tomyom soup, you will love it.

Nice view of old town. The bar is on the 6th floor (no elevator). Food is mediocre (you pay for the view). Fries are not special, sour cream is not sour cream. Stick to small snacks that go with alcohol or cocktails. I do not recommend having your main dishes here. Excellent services and friendly staff though.

What a great combination between chilling out at night with a peaceful feeling of the temple in the city of angles #KrungThep I would recommend to try local craft beers from many areas of Thailand. However, don’t forget to check the price before.

Perfect spot to enjoy sunset. Tasty food & lots of interesting kinds of beer. The price is a bit pricey but the view and the vibe totally worth it.

🫤 Mixed bag this one. Really loved the atmosphere and playing pool. The live band were fantastic! Shame the bartenders were pouring us different drinks than the ones we ordered and overcharging us. Stuff like that really hinders what would have been a 5 star experience. Shame.

👍 Good roof top bar to watch Wat Arun at sunset. However, since the place is small, it’s pretty cramped/crowded during sunset hours.
