My all time favorite Banglamphu hangout on the corner of Soi Rambuttri and Soi Chana Songkhram. They have free WiFi but don't advertise it. Just ask for the password if you can't remember geckobar. I've eaten here more times than any other place in Thailand. The first time was in 2007 and the next time is going to be in about 15 minutes. I'm enjoying an orange fruit shake right now, but my standard breakfast is a Thai omelette, either chicken, pork or veg, over rice with nam pla prik and a coffee. It's always excellent. The crew has been here forever. Noi, Nan, Nhi, Noinah, and all the rest are fun and very personable. Mama never changes, and I look forward to seeing her with every visit. She's the first person I look for. Gecko bar is a perfect spot for people watching, and meeting people from all over the world is very easy. Beer is reasonably priced with Chang 70 thb small 90 large. Leo 90. Cheers 90. Singha 70/100. Leo 90. Tiger100. Heineken 80/120. San Miguel 120. The food is always excellent, and the green curry is outstanding. Prices range from 25 baht toast and jam to 90 baht for Tomka shrimp. If you're looking for a place to kick back and chill you can't do better than the Gecko. I've photographed and posted the entire menu.

Nice place close to the Khao San road. I've eaten here a few times. The food has always been good, cheap and with decent portions. It's a great place to people watch. No wifi though.

Simple, quaint little spot that's been around for decades. ฿100 big bottles (including Tiger) ฿90 for Beer Lao (June '23) Great people watching from here. I tend to start the afternoon here and mosey on down Rambutree with the gang.

We stopped randomly for a bite and it was excellent. We really enjoyed everything - and the prices are so good too. We got the omelette, basil meat rice, fried chicken noodles, and massaman curry. So good. Would return. The mango sticky rice opposite is great too.

We have been here several time as price-value ist unbeatable. Large Chang is 90 Bath :) toilet ist clean, staff is super friendly and location ist great. Furniture ist okay.

Definitely worth a visit! The Thai cuisine here is outstanding. The service is prompt and courteous, and the facilities include clean bathrooms and strong Wi-Fi. Moreover, the best part is that it's reasonably priced. Highly recommended!

Only had a few drinks here. Nice place to sit and watch the crowds. Did not eat here because there is only a big menu with pictures on the side of street. That is a big no no for me when I want to eat somewhere.

Well what do you need more? Delicious food, the best fruit shakes and cheap beer!! Everything's Perfect!

Cheapest beer in this area. Chang large 90THB (11/2023). Pure recommendation for drinking a beer without incredible loud music like at khaosan road.

Great breakfest, the fruit salad so rich with musli a yugort . Also the service is really great. The owner of the place is a super nice person.
