I’ve been in many Irish bars the world over and as a proud Irishman, I have been very regularly disappointed through prices that are deemed to be extortion, poor surroundings being pedalled as “rustic Irish”, shoddy service or a combination of all three. I am very very pleased to say O’Malleys had none of the above. Instead, we had attentive efficient staff, in very pleasing surroundings serving top quality food and drinks at exceptionally reasonable prices. I can’t recommend this place highly enough and will definitely be back. Top marks guys! ADDITION: I have returned many many times since my first review above and I wouldn't change a word on the original. If you havent already been here and you're in the locality, you're missing out. Further update, Great to see the place going from strength to strength, incorporating live music on various nights now also. FURTHER ADDITION: Talk about going from strength to strength! This place never ceases to amaze me wechad the Pan Fried Salmon and Tom Yam this evening - both amazingly delicious. You're missing out big time if you're in the Silom area and don't visit here. FURTHER ADDITION: Right, this place has strived. My honest opinion is that it's the staff - all of them - that make it. You're losing out of you don't visit- seriously. Further update on 14/4/2003 Well, what can I say. The place goes from strength to strength and the staff are the best in the world! Couple this with the very best Lamb Stew I’ve eaten outside Ireland - and amazing collaboration with the external Songkran festivities - and you’ve got the perfect watering hole (IMHO) Don’t miss out on visiting this gem of Bangkok!

Cozy and warm sports Irish bar. So relaxed here. They have good happy hour for beer. The beef pie I tried was dry and not so tasty. Other dish may be better.

I generally don’t bother posting reviews below 5 stars. I’ll use the old adage: ‘if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all’. So I will highlight only the positives for anyone who is interested in visiting. They have a lot of TVs and they play everything. For example, on Premier League match nights, every match will be on one of the televisions and they will always play sound for the major match that evening. There is one particularly kind server who always made us feel welcome. There is a large outside area for smokers or people who prefer to sit outside which includes two televisions as well. The place is clean in general and there’s a kind lady who I regularly see thoroughly cleaning/sanitizing the pub and water closet. The few times I’ve had the food, it was pretty good, the pizza is actually amazing. Happy hour all day until 7pm is a decent price. Drink prices outside of happy hour are typical for Bangkok. It’s a decent place and if what I’ve written checks the boxes for you, enjoy.

Superb place to hangout with colleagues. Beer at discount price until 7:00 p.m. Recommend hotdogs and fries. Big screen soccer broadcasts and live music at late night.

Awesome pub Simple drink. Basic food (The good one). Good mood. Escape from the heat outside with cold beers in AC room. What's else do you want?

BEST Irish pub in Bangkok!! Amazing servers! Great Irish beer (& an excellent assortment of wine, cocktails & other libations)! The food (Western & Thai) is delicious, too! Oh, their Sunday roast chicken & roast beef dinners are also affordable and exceptional! In Silom, so very central. O’Malley’s is “my pub” whenever I’m fortunate enough to be in this incredible city!

No real complaints - like many other places the good beers were out of stock (this was concerning because many of the menu items advertised sauces and gravies that required the use of Guinness) and the prices were a little above average. But the atmosphere was good and staff was great! It was nice they had a smoking room, but I’d expect a sports bar to allow smoking in or around the bar (but that’s my bias). There was also a leaky spot from the roof directly beside the pool table. The place is a little confusing to find.

Popped in for a few beers to cool down to and was greeted by a lovely lady who sorted us some nice pints of Stella. Reasonably priced and good decor. They had sport on the TVs dotted about the place. Not sure if it's wheelchair accessible as we entered by going down a flight of stairs. (Edit) It is wheelchair accessible through carpark behind pub!

Nice Irish bar that was very busy on Friday night. Nice food and good service. There was a band which played the usual pub favorites but not over-loud.

Not the easiest place but if you are looking for a good Irish pub in bkk this is a good place. They have a lot of different draught beers. We both ate fish and chips and we enjoyed it.

We went mid+afternoon so it probably wasn't at its peak atmospheric level avd as such it was dreary and dark and virtually empty apart from two dudes watching the NFL on the big telly. The Guinness was decent and the Thai food was excellent. Staff were friendly.

What a lucky find, after no travel for the past 4-5 years. I wasn't even looking just walking back to the hotel and stumbled across the signage on the street. Staff welcoming, not being a beer drinker anymore the happy hour menu could have been a little bigger but no complaints. Wasn't too crowded at 430 but slowly filled up with expats or farang as expats are known in Thailand.

Sunday night, 8-9pm, solo drinker. Large pub, seems a great venue. Live music only Friday night (according to staff). Punk IPA pint very good, clean. They do show Irish sports. Good pool table. Was a bit dull atmosphere wise for me, so only stopped for one. I would defo return on a Friday night. Great potential.

Nice, clean, spacious pub. Comfy seating, fast but not overly communicative waitresses. Atmosphere as it should be, including sports screens and Pool table. Food (Wrap and Tuna sandwich) was very tasty.

I've been here a few times now, the last being in late June '23. The food and service is always great, drinks are cold, sports on TV, and an escape from Bangkok heat / crowds. A highly recommended pub.

O'Malley's is actually a great spot on Silom, for a few beers, a bite, and a bit of sport. It has a great beer selection, both on draught and in bottle, a generous menu. The staff are friendly and efficient, and the (free) Brunswick pool table is a gem -- rock-solid slate bed, and basketweave pockets.

Where else would you want to be, but in an Irish bar, when Ireland have just beaten France in 2023 Six Nations. Good atmosphere in the bar, good service, although I did think the drinks were slightly overpriced. Rugby on three big screens, and Premier League on 4 other screens

Nice bar, in the basement just off the main street. Was pretty dead when we were there. Overall it had a nice feel to it, and was obviously a bit more expensive than the other bars in the area. Will check it out again and see if it was just a once off.

Loved this place! Just be careful not to stay all day! They make it too easy with the longest happy hour I've ever seen! Food was so good (recommend the sausage sandwich or the Sunday roast) and service excellent! Will be back for sure next time in Bangkok.

in the summer it happened that there was no Guinness, but on the second visit we were already satisfied, it was well chilled and tasted great. The staff was pleasant and helpful, the food was very good.

Typical Irsh Pub, plenty of seating for dining or drinks, pool table and live music. Food was nice although portion size could be a bit bigger. Smoking area to the front. Fast and efficient table service for food.

👍👍 We love the curry crab! But!! It comes too late.........when it comes, we are all already half full... that's why the service is not 5 star. But it's still recommended! Just make sure that your crab is coming as soon as the other dishes!

👍👍 I didn't taste any different than 40 years ago. I came quite often with my family when I was young. Tenderness and robust flavor all stayed the same for many decades. Line pretty long and longer every time I visit. Full of foreigners. Recommend for taking togo.
