I love Mexican food and I can definitely say this is one of the best places in Bangkok that suffices the taco cravings. Each dish is crafted with perfection. Shirley who seems to take care of the place is such a great person. By mistake i did something while paying. We discussed it and i corrected it the next day. she was so supportive and she made me a better person. Thanks a lot Shirley. You are awesome!!!

Staff speaks excellent English and allows you to have a nice cold beer with no time restrictions on when they can serve. Food is always good. They have increased the portions size so you be prepared to eat a lot of food for such a small price. Clean and fast service. Nice break from shopping while you at Terminal 21 Mall.

We were not here because of the review. But now looking at it, we wonder how in the world this place has a high rating. We didn’t find the sunrise we were looking for. It’s not a full-serviced restaurant so we did not expect that quality to be honest. However, what we had tasted more like a ‘subway’ version of food assembly. There wasn’t much of a variety to the ingredients. Dinner felt like a repeat of every dish we ordered. Underwhelming, not ‘wow’ as mentioned by some of the reviewers.

Delicious vegan (and non-vegan) mexican food, which is also gluten-free available!!! They also have beyond meat, if you want to have an other vegan option, then the normal one. The service was also amazing! Thank you very much!

This place has authentic tasting Vegan Mexican food prepared for us that prefer a plant based diet. I ordered the Vegan Beyond (TM) Cowboy tacos with beans and rice. I arrived about 5PM on a Saturday and was promptly seated. My food came 11 minutes and 31 seconds after placing my order. The tacos, there were three of them, were outstanding. The shells were crisp, but didn't fall apart in my hand. The flavor and texture of the Beyond Meat (R), was as authentic as I have ever had; I love how the used crisp lettuce as the foundation for this taco. They topped the taco with some very tasty organic soy-based artisan cheddar cheese (I actually picked up and ate every bit that fell off) and some fresh tomatoes. I chose the John's Hot salsa to top off my tacos. The rice actually surprised me. It too was very authentic and included a sprinkling of fresh corn. It was moist and could have easily stood on it's own! The beans were perfectly prepared. Just the right mix of whole and mashed beans and packed with flavor. I hesitate to post this as I don't want to have to be added to a wait list on my next visit; but add me to the list. The Manager, Shelly, informed me that there are eleven other branches of this restaurant throughout Thailand. This Vegan Mexican food is good enough to wait for! Bon Appétit 😋

The best Mexican food I’ve had in all of Thailand which is not to say the best I’ve had yet but it was pretty good. The bottomless chips and salsa were great, so many great dips to choose from. The fish tacos were really great and the vegetarian enchiladas had a great sauce. 4 stars because it didn’t blow my mind but I recommend it if you’re craving Mexican food

Best Mexican food in Thailand. Enchiladas and Tacos are what we usually order. They’re the best!!! Really tasty mains and the sides are amazing! Servings are great too! I couldn’t finish them sometimes because they’re too big (but it depends on what you order. I find their burritos are specifically huge! So good for people who have big appetites). The staff are really friendly. Manager is very accommodating and hospitable. If you want a great dining experience, try Sunrise Tacos at Terminal 21. They will not disappoint. They also have great pies!!! I love the pecan and pumpkin pie!!! Ahhh!! Can’t wait to go back. Been there several times already but I never get sick of it.

Have you heard the expression "my eyes were bigger than my stomach"? Well that's what happened here, but it was worth it. Been quite awhile since we had Mexican food so we thought why not? The food and service were very good. Fajita, both beef and chicken, came to us sizzling on the plate. If you are ever at Terminal 21, you should stop by and give them a try.

Eaten twice and the service is great. It’s not authentic Mexican but it as good as it can get inside a mall. The service is excellent and very friendly staff. Special thanks to a very amazing and friendly team! First time had nachos supreme and second time enchiladas! Serving size is enough for a person or more !

Price was much more expensive than I expected, because I didn’t see on the menu where they add a 10% service charge and a 7% tip. Paid 500 THB ($15 USD) for chicken fajitas with chips and salsa. Big portion sizes. Wish the Mexican spices were much stronger, but still overall good quality and taste. And everyone working was super nice and friendly. Comfortable seating and WiFi too. Love the local Thai food, but if you want a break from Asian food and are craving Mexican food, this is about as good as it gets in Southeast Asia. No complaints. Cheers!

Dropped by for Horchata (Mexican cinnamon milk rice drink) and tried a taco. Both nicely done, though I missed the Pico de Gallo with my order? Just realized they forgot to include it when I checked the menu again now.

We came here for lunch after seeing all the good reviews, honestly I wasn’t wowed! The beef was quite tough in the taco we got, but the sauces for the dips were nice. I didn’t finish my food as I just wasn’t impressed, and it was very expensive too, but I guess you are in a shopping mall in Bangkok! Service was nice but I wouldn’t return.

Sunrise is a colourful, kid friendly restaurant. The staff is efficient and our lunch order arrived very quickly with a smile. The nachos are light and fresh. The pulled chicken tacos were avoidable. Sauces are fresh but the guacamole was watery. Nachos are the best!

This restaurant has good “Mexican food”. The taste is about 50% Mexican flavor but I understand as it is not easy to get the right ingredients far from Mexico. It is nice to taste something different besides Thai delicious food. The vibe is good and relaxing. The staff were super nice and attentive. The price is about 400 per person (food and a drink). The tortilla birria tacos are NOT 6 inches stated in the menu. They look about 4 inches just in case you are thinking to get full with two tacos(these are crunchy tortillas). I ordered “Chilaquiles” and they are definitely taste the same as the “Nachos”. I’m Mexican and I can tell you for a fact, “Chilaquiles” are not cooked like that. I give “zero start” to that dish. It is better to order nachos. Other than that, I would recommend to get some tasty birria tacos or Nachos at this place.

Imagine Thai food in Mexico. Well, then you can imagine this Mexican restaurant in Thailand. I think the ingredients were fresh but I would not set expectations higher than that. Al Pastor taco was too oily. Happy with English speaking service.

Fish and beef tacos were both good for quick bite. The quality was just like the taco bell in north America. The salsa looks bad very dark instead of chop fresh tomato red color.

One of the better Mexican chains in Thailand started by an expat legal service firm turned restauranteur. The owner is clearly a fan of Mexican food and the taste reflects that. One of the best salsa selections. I recommend to go for a bottomless chip if you're a fan of nachos and salsa. I also like their taco rice quite a fair bit. A good place for those who miss Mexicali fix.

Ordered a chicken burrito and chicken fajitas. Both are great and the portion is quite big. But the drink is way too sweet that we couldn’t finish. Staffs are nice. Also ordered a carrot cake and pumpkin cake for dessert, both cakes are delicious and not too sweet.

Good quality fast food Mexican chow in Thailand. What more could you ask for? Shelly, our server who is from the Philippines, was outstanding. Sunrise is a local chain that's been around for a while now, and they make for a dependable stop when you need to get that Mexican fix. She was able to get me something off the menu, a combination beef and chicken taco salad in an edible bowl, which was delicious.

We went there for birthday celebration. Very generous deal ( a full entree and a desert for the birthday boy), super delicious food, but what touched us the most was the service. It’s true Mexican hospitality. They went above and beyond to serve us. More people should know about the greatness of this place and people!

It is one of the best food outlet with cool and lovely staff. The owner make sure you love what you ordered and she will check also at whether you like anything or you eat spicy then she will give some home made sauces n dips

Mexican may have climbed into my top 3 cuisines after this meal... The birra quesadillas lived up to the Instagram hype. It's hard to give the food anything but a 10/10 and the service a solid 11/10. Our server and the manager went the extra mile and looked after us making sure we had everything we needed and enjoyed the food. I'd definitely be going back if I was staying in the area!

Delicious but not cheap. I spent roughly 350 for 3 tacos and water. No complimentary chips and salsa like some Mexican restaurant. Tacos are fresh and flavorful. Salsa is mediocre.

Awesome! We enjoyed every single dish that we ordered and shared.Portions are big and prices are very reasonable especially for our age who are always tight on budget :)

Edit: The chips are so different from Saladaeng Sunrise Taco. I thought tacos have cream. So dry :( I also know that sunrise tacos have 7% VAT. I think no need to tell the customer about that unless we complain. Thanks for the reply Greg. I always love Sunrise Tacos and every year celebrating my birthday at Saladaeng branch.

* update: I was there today, I ordered the 1+1 promotion of the Thai vegan taco (not the Behind meat like the first time) + soda water. It was delicious, made me feeling full, and cost me all together 303 Baht. Service was kind too, while I was waiting for my order to be done, stuff gave me some nachos with salsa, free of charge! So I upgraded the score from 1 to 4 (not 5, just because the past not successful experience, as described below). ****************************** Dishes are ridiculously small, but still very expensive. I order a vegan burger and soda water, I finished eating it within 2 minutes because it had no more than 2-3 bites, I paid for this pleasure 265 Baht, and now I'm going to look for a real meal.

As a Texan who loves Mexican food, I can certify that Sunrise Tacos is worth the visit. We had the chicken enchiladas and carne asada street tacos. Throw in a pitcher of strawberry margaritas and some chips and salsa too. Yummy!
