Absolutely in love with this restaurant! This Thai food is the best I tried! Normally I donโ€™t like Thai food, but here the chef is GOD! I was there with my husband for Valentineโ€™s Day! And the menu was so exquisite! Really finger licking great! The way of serving dishes is also wonderful, the dishes were served with such beautiful decorations in shapes of flowers, and desserts in a shape of kissing lips were so original! Everything was authentic and beautiful, the chef was simply gorgeous, just a master of cooking craft, waiters were all so courteous and friendly and the place itself was very, very beautiful. We sat at a table in the garden and it was just amazing! The atmosphere was so romantic sitting in a tropical garden enjoying the sights of flowers and eating amazing delicious authentic Thai food! If you are in Thailand be sure to go to this restaurant! The best Thai cuisine ever! And the prices are good!

Came and tried the tasting menu for lunch, we were pretty much the only customers. The place is nicely decorated and beautiful. The starters were just tiny bites, the beef salad was probably my favorite...but also gone in 2 bites. For the main, I liked the ribs and the seasonal vegetables the most. The piglet dessert was tasty and fun, the others was ok. Overall everything tasted ok just portion size was really small for the price I think. The service was good, except a few people was having a loud conversation behind the bar area and they also made fun that I order a coke. Total damage for the tasting menu + 2 water and a coke came out to be 7662b. I just feel it was a bit too expensive, for this price I can have a really nice steak and lobster dinner.

Some dishes were great and some were a bit iffy. Service is amazing, very attentive and helpful. Overall, the tasting menu is worth the experience if you don't mind paying the very high price. I would recommend trying it at least once

We visited on recommendation of a family member who dinned here in the past. Our experience welcoming and unhurried. I would guess the restaurant does not book a table for more than one seating. Others arrive and wait patently for dinners to finish their. Our servers and the rest of staff were attentive without hovering. We all partook of the sumptuous tasting menu. There were so many local flavours. Our meal concluded with their signature Broken Basket desert. This will be a definite stop on our next visit to Bangkok.

I had huge expectations based on the reviews and recommendations of a friend. Overly priced in my opinion, and not worth the price tag. We chose the tasting menu. A lot of curry dishes, which was not our forte. They were very accommodating, which was appreciated. Iโ€™m not a big fan of fusion food, and I was expecting a lot more pizazz. It was all very basic to me, to be honest. My favorite part of the meal was the mochi dessert. I also enjoyed the spicy soup and the wagyu. The chef prepared complimentary appetizers, and those were great. Staff and service were excellent. Ambience was charming.

$80 USD per person for Issaya set "tasting" menu and cocktail (+10% serving charge, and sales tax). Food was delicious but not 'top star' standards. Salad, stew, and curries were 'comfort' food with so-so presentation. Provided a good breadth of Thai foods, but I expect a lot better for this Thai price. Restaurant was hard to get to, by mass transit (have to walk under the toll road highway), and the restaurant ambience was disappointing.

Great atmosphere, and really good food. I liked how they made the local Thai food a bit more fusion but it still retained its authentic flavours. Very good for vegetarians too - the vegetarian set menu was actually pretty delicious. Loved the mango sticky rice dessert, beautiful mix of saltiness and sweetness. Overall, very much recommended to dine here.

We have lived in a Thailand for over 3 years and only now making it to this beautiful restaurant. Atmosphere is unique for Thailand with it being in an old Thai house but decorated nicely. Service was on point and always there when needed Cocktails are innovative and good quality. A bit pricey but good. Now for the food. We did not do the tasting menu instead ordered a bunch of dishes to share. Food is shared family style which makes it a great opportunity to try many dishes. Each dish has a unique twist from traditional thai dishes but everything we tried was delicious. In the dryer months you can sit to the pretty garden but we loved being inside. This is not a cheap place to eat especially if you plan to have cocktails and wine but we did very much enjoy the meal. Great for guest and/ or special occasions.

The Issaya Siamese Club indeed serves fine fare, and there is nothing that makes me fault the quality of the food, except that it is quite a lot saltier than most Thai restaurants aimed at the locals, instead of tourists. The Massaman lamb shank was pretty good, and the service was impeccable. The dining room setting gave the feel of an old-time clubhouse, but the ventilation was poor and the lighting was too dim. Why this place canโ€™t receive 4 stars is because of the pricing. There are countless other restaurants in the area that serve modern Thai food, with a less salty touch, also suited to those with taste buds unaccustomed to too much chili or fermented fish sauce. However, they will be a fraction of the price for much larger portions, a better-ventilated room, and English-speaking waitstaff. Overall, if they cranked up the air-conditioning and tweaked the lighting, this place would be pretty good to meet a friend for some drinks, but the menu could be re-priced.

We had a wonderful dinner in a real sophisticated atmosphere. Food and cocktails are awesome but pricey. Service is great and very attentive. Sometimes you need to stop their awareness ๐Ÿ˜€. Very nice food selection from starters to mains and finally desserts. We got a complimentary fantastic dessert of different fruit foams with iced chocolate served in a breathtaking performance. Strictly recommended if you seek for something special.

The place is cozy and clean. We order their specialty ( crab meat in the crab shell) and some other dishes. Close withe the mango sticky rice with their style.. The way they serve is unique and has itโ€™s own class. There is indoor and outdoor place

Issaya is located to a quite corner on one side of the high way and I came here under the recommendation of many friends. The restaurant has a beautiful green garden in additional to an independent house for indoor dining. Very beautiful place and great ambience. Food wise the restaurant does innovative Thai food and not only satisfy your taste buds but also easy to your eyes too! Strongly recommend ppl who visit Bangkok. Book it!

Great restaurant set in old converted Thai house. This is a place for Thai fine dining. Service and food are exceptional at the expected price points. Went with the set menu which sampled a variety of their most popular dishes. Cocktails are delicious. Recommend here for special occasions or important group dinner.

Excellent Thai restaurant a little out of the way. Well signposted off the nearby main road. Outside they have a herbal garden and lots of foliage. Indoor the AC is good and it looks clean. Food and drinks were excellent. In particular, their version of mango sticky rice was the best I've had in Bangkok!

This is definitely one of the best restaurant in Bangkok. You can enjoy a calm meal in a wonderfully decorated interior. Although it is a traditional Thai dish, you can enjoy its appearance with beautiful arrangement. Massaman curry is the best dish I recommend. Signature glass Le Issaya cocktail also beautiful. It is a place you should go once in Bangkok.

The setting and the design of this place will take you back in history. It feels like a mansion that was build in later 1800s or early 1900s. My only complaint is the size of the dessert. Other than that, the food was great and the service was top notch. Very impressed how the places is kept cleaned and preserved.

Love the 150 years old stand alone bungalow with lots of charm and character. Decent food at fair price. Friendly; attentive staff who were very concern over all their diners...Great showmanship in presenting the special complimentary flambe chocolate dessert offered to our birthday guest. Dinner was served with elements of surprises for each dish presented.

We went on new year's eve, which makes it hard to rate this place, as the prices were excessive (4000 baht per person just for food) and they made is wait half an hour for our table. I knocked off a star for these. On the plus side, the food was good, if unmemorable and the interior was stylish, open and pleasant. The wine list was decent, ranging in price from expensive (it's all expensive in Bangkok) to very expensive.

Incredible food. I love, love, love their massaman curry lamb! Ordered the fried fish, grilled chicken, stuffed crab, and a whole series of appetisers. For dessert, we had the broken bowl chocolate with fruity foam. Wowsy! The food here is really good!

Hidden Gem. Food was incredible and unique. The lamb curry main dish and the short ribs paired perfectly with the sauces. Attention to detail and our tolerance to spice. Only one area to improve would be the good map for people walking, ended up in a private residence area where you can't pass. Definitely should have grabbed a grab for this address.

The restaurant is housed in a carefully restored heritage house. Lovely environment with lots of green and picturesque corners. Food however was hit and miss. The pork rib appetizer was tender and flavorful. However the fried crab flavor was overpowered by the spice mix and oily batter. So was the heart of blossom salad - the balance of spice, bright freshness was a bit off. The fried multigrain with mushroom was absolutely outstanding .. full of wok flavor that elevated the grainโ€™s nuttiness. But the black angus beef needed acidity for balance and the tiny chili sauce was just not enough. The dessert were hilarious - the mango pieces in the white chocolate case โ€˜foughtโ€™ each other and neither complemented ea other in taste except in look. Same for the cheesecake. It was more a gel mousse made into a ladybug. Iโ€™ll give them a thumbs up for trying however. Come early to catch the different look this place presents before and after sunset.

Okay, this is a place for those who wanna brag the hell out of their wealth. I personally didn't like the food there, but those who enjoy authentic places might love it. For those who are not comfortable enough to enjoy this kind of meal every day, there are much better options in Bangkok with even lower price, greater view, and greater vibe.

A must-visit place in BKK! We had set menu and every dish was super delicious and beautifully presented. Especially loved the lamb curry, chicken and mushroom rice. The old beautiful house is well maintained, creating unique atmosphere, and staffs are caring. Little hard to find, but cabs will get there fine.

This restaurant is in a beautiful old house with a lush garden. The food is modernized Thai. The presentation and taste are surprising and wonderful. The service is really excellent. Our server answered our numerous questions with courtesy. She also skillfully plated some of the dishes at our table. We have been to Thailand 4 times. This is one of the few very best restaurants in our experience in Thailand.

4 and a half stars for this best dinner since years. The food was amazing and almost impossible to eat everything up. Almost too much for this very fair price. Fantastic cocktails and so is the wine. Very kind and polite staff. Only the English language skills are developable, I had problems to understand everything they have said. And the location is undescribable beautiful. Too sad that it didnโ€˜t last longer. They are almost too quick because you get half the menue at the same time and then the second half at the same time. All is put in the middle and you take something on your plate. This is a great way to eat, but on the other hand, you would sit and enjoy much longer (and maybe drink even more) if the single courses would come one after the other. Therefore I would not give the full 5 stars, but thatโ€˜s not possible. So lucky you, Issaya Siamese Club.

Enjoyed our dinner there. Lovely setting in a house with a garden, wonderful food - modern interpretation of Thai cuisine - and great customer service. Fresh ingredients and great cooking. Our server Sunisachol was attentive, courteous and did a great job.

An absolutely wonderful experience at Issaya. This is a beautiful restaurant with a gorgeous inside-outside setup that really is very charming even before you get to the meal, which was exceptional. Best lamb shank we've ever had and the chef's special dish of a mixture of Thai grains and rice was as complex as it was homey. The ice cream flight was straightforward but cute with good flavors. The service was responsive, communicative, and swift. The chef even came to speak with us afterwards, and he was an absolute delight. The only thing slightly lacking was the by-glass wine list - very limited options and not of the best quality (the by-bottle list was more extensive, but we didn't need that). Highly recommend overall - 10/10.

A beautiful restaurant and a beautiful dining experience. This is Thai food elevated to a whole new level. The Kao Soy was absolutely delicious as well as everything else we ordered!

  • 4/5 Yong Chieh G. 6 years ago on Google
Love the food here! Prices are on the high side - but this is expected given the ambience, food quality and the experience one will go through by patronising this wonderful place. I could not rate it a 5-star due to the lower than expected service standard. Incidents such as not changing the dinner plates, mixing different dishes into a used plate and not serving guests the complete serving are not what I expect from a fine dining establishment. Also the aircon fan speed needs to be increased at the upper floor. Itโ€™s just too warm and stuffy. Also the lighting needs to be brighter, else guests will be falling asleep in the comfortable sofa and chair provided.

Good and fresh food. Thailand food made in a michelin like setting. Me and my girlfriend enjoyed having our lunch here. Service was fast and gentle. It is not really authentic Thai food and we personally would have enjoyed the food to be a bit more spicy, but it tasted good anyhow!

Really nice restaurant, some dishes better than others, depends on preferences. Didn't enjoy the recommended desert, it was instagram able but not so nice. Tuna tartar and the prawns dish along with speciality rice with garlic and mushrooms were great.
