If you want a quick one liner about how amazing this place is take this into consideration. I ate at Gaggan (#1 Restaurant in Asia) the night before and I think my lunch at Sra Bua topped it. There's just something about gently exploring a dish that cannot be topped. Creativity? Check. Bold in your face flavours? Check. Culinary experience? Check. Atmosphere? Check. And most importantly, very very Thai! Hot tip - while everyone raves about the mango sticky rice, my friend and I were all about the coconut and basil desserts! Glad we tried all four!!

One of the best Michelin star we had.. even better than the Michelin 3 star we went in France! Great experience starting from the lounge area where they served you Bkk street food first that already blew our minds away… then you’ll be escorted to the main dining area where you are served either 6 or 8 courses for dinner. We went for 6 courses that left us super full and satisfied Every course was well curated and presented and explained by the staff. They even gave us a celebratory cake for our babymoon which was a pleasant surprise. Our night was made special with the service of jimmy. Definitely will recommend all our friends to come especially for special occasion

simply an unforgettable 10-course menu. We reserved New Year's Eve for dinner and everything was absolutely perfect. From staff, location, food everything was top class. We will certainly come back more often and let ourselves be pampered. I really recommend it.

Came with low expectations but was surprised by this meal. I opt for the 16 course. Food was extremely unique and tasty, very well thought out courses with a perfect blend of local delicacy. 16 course is a lot, so I’d suggest to not pair with wine if you are not a heavy eater. My goal is to always go for the best to try the restaurant’s most recommend experience. Every course turned out to be just as wonderful, there’s almost a show for every one of them and they are delightful to watch. Plating was perfect to my partner’s taste. Server services can be improved, I’m not too comfortable with having different servers for every course. They were also rushing to serve the food and there were multiple overlaps where I’m still on the previous course and they were already talking about the next. This is not acceptable in a fine dining setting. They are well spoken and I could communicate with them comfortably. At this price point, it justified the experience and negate any issue I had with serving. I would not have accepted it if price was any higher. Overall a wonderful experience and I would love to come back again.

One of the best dining experiences in Bangkok. The food is excellent, creative, with complex flavors. The 16+ dishes is a wonderful journey through Thai cuisine, blending magic and molecular cuisine to perfection. A bite, starts out with a certain taste and makes you travel to another beautiful realization. The service is attentive and top notch. This is THE restaurant to splurge on in Bangkok.

So impressive with the new menus and extraordinary service on 4th Feb!!! We very enjoyed with every single creative dish by Chef. All expediters were very friendly, especially Khun Jimmy Darunphop and the other gentleman in classic grey suit uniform who were very professional and had participated with all of us during explaining the food selected ingredients with Big Smiles. Anyway, I left comment about one dish cooked from frozen fish which a manager K. Nancy listened to my feedback carefully and will liaise with the team to make it better. It’s worth to celebrate and spend your time here I strongly recommend!!!

8-course winter menu but with starter and petite four it becomes more like 15-course. The food is inspired by things around Thailand that the Chef sees. Dishes are innovatively created and of course delicious. The menu changes twice a year during summer and winter.

Booked a dinner for my wife and I here after hearing my friends rave about it and was not disappointed. From the pre course to the dessert, each dish was well thought through and excites your taste buds. The dining experience was amazing as well with many table side preparation that made it gram worthy. Its definitely worth the price paid. Special thanks to Jimmy (I hope I spelt it right) and the waitress(sorry did not catch her name) for the wonderful service and experience. Kudos!

This was one of the worst tasting meals I’ve had in my life. I mean no disrespect to the chefs, but I am going to write as objective of a review as possible. TL;DR Spectacular service: 5/5 Atmosphere/ambiance: 5/5 Food: 1/5 I am so grateful for the team at Sra Bua for taking such good care of us, but I am sorry to say that food served was not up to our expectations given their one Michelin star. The didn’t miss a single thing in terms of service and ambiance. The first coursed served had a mixture of yogurt, wasabi, and a cashew meringue of sort. Perhaps I don’t have such a refined palette but this was just so gross. The flavors didn’t make sense at all together. The course in the egg basket had this green foam that had a very off putting taste and smell resembling a towel cloth that hasn’t properly dried and reeks of mildew. I understand that chefs want to take humble dishes like Tom yum and take an innovative direction with it, but ice cream form is not it. I am a chef myself and am enamored by the brights minds that can tell stories with their food, but I just couldn’t understand what I was tasting at all. It was a tad bit too salty in terms of flavor profile, but my honest reaction overall is that it’s quite gross. But again.. perhaps I’m missing something. The dish in the lotus flower was so beautiful, but really really awkward to eat. The Hokkaido scallops with what I believe to be was prik nam pla wasn’t seasoned with sugar because of the beautiful disk of cotton candy to sweeten it. The scallops were delicious but it was drenched in the sauce that was way too sweet. The sauce lacked complexity.. all you could taste was how sweet it was. The lobster bisque/tom yum/dumpling dish: The dumpling dough was slightly dried out and the soup was served very lukewarm. By the time we got to eating it after the explanation it was quickly cold Next up was the green curry ice cream with cod. Again, I just can’t bring myself to like this execution. It’s so off putting. I just ate around it. Our last dish with the Australian wagyu was quite delicious in flavor. Biggest turn offs is that the wagyu was served room temp and the plating definitely needs work. Desserts I don’t think anything really stood out. The pineapple dessert was smothered in liquor and really masked everything. Not pictured, but I love the playfulness of the last dessert course. But they all tasted very mediocre. Again, I’m not food critic just someone who really appreciate food. It just pains me to pay so much for a meal that was this disappointing. I understand everyone has different tastes, but me and my two friends mostly agreed on the points I’ve made above.

Fantastic dining experience! One Michelin star since four years in a row. We had the 8-course dinner. You will be served a series of thai snacks, which are very good. Then you will be seated for the 8-course experience. Make sure to save room for the desserts! The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. Food was excellent. We had a great time. Highly recommended!

From the moment we walk in through the door of the Sra-bua restaurant we’re greeted with a very warm welcome from the staff. They served Thai street food with a magic dish🤩. Every dish has its own story, and definitely so delicious!🤤. After we finished the 4 starter dishes (Thai street food) then we moved to the dinner zone. I really really happy with the surprise birthday table!!😍😍 which warmed my heart immediately 🥰 Especially “Khun Paween Lekawat” or “Bas”, the restaurant manager. He really took good care of us. With his service mind and friendliness makes us feel happy and enjoy the dinner so much!! Also every single dish is so delicious. The smell and tastes of all signature Thai herb ingredients in every dish they served in the 16-course is really a perfect combination. I think this is the best Thai Michelin in Bangkok I ever had😊. The petite four at the end of the course was so very fun! It’s a game that we have to find only 2 pieces of each dishes that can eat, others is the fake one! Lol 😆. For the chili dish, it’s a bit hard for us to find the chocolate chili 🌶️😅, so we ate the real one LOL so spicyyyy! Haha but after that the staff gave us a hint😄 so that we finally found it! And I fall in love with the pineapple coconut icecream!!soooo good!! Khun Bas made the fresh icecream in front of you with the liquid nitrogen 🤩🤩. Overall I really happy with my birthday dinner at Sra-bua by Kiinkiin😍😍😍😍😍. Definitely be going back to this wonderful restaurant. Next time I wanna try the summer-course. Also worth the price 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Interesting molecular concept , and great service . Unfortunately the creativity and beautiful presentations didn’t quite translates to match the tastes…I suppose my personal preference for Thai food is the traditional Thai food without the gimmicky frills

Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin is a one star michelin joint serving modern Thai cuisine. There is a focus on molecular gastronomy techniques and deconstructing tradition menus to modern interpretations. We went for a 6 course lunch meal. The menu was quite playful and many of the dishes were beautiful and quite visually striking. The taste was also quite good considering we requested a lower spicy level as we can't handle spicy that well. Slight issue was with the dessert that was a little underwhelming. The baba cake had rum flambe that over powered the rest of the dessert. The coconut 3 ways was mainly a little too tough. Was a slight latedown from otherwise a good experience. We were here at the first day of the summer menu change, so some hiccups were expected.

Came for 4-course journey during lunch, I believe it was a winter menu. Given the price and portions and satisfaction, 5++++ stars. Totally worth it. Some dishes weren’t my fav I’d say, like tomyum and dimsum which I found very soso, lower than expectations. The main just saved the whole situation. Tom ka snow fish was absolutely a killer. Overall we had a great experience here, kudos to every staff as well that provided exceptional service. Would come back for a new season menu.

This was my second time here. The first time was a few years ago with my wife. This time we came with some business partners and we wanted to impress them Thai food at fine dining setting. There aren’t many michelin starred restaurants in Bangkok that serves reimagined classic Thai food, so this place is quite a gem with a good central location. As we came for lunch, they only had the 4 or 6 course. Dinner has the additional 8 course. Some dishes have changed from the last time we were here but we are glad that they kept the tom yum soup. Overall the dishes were good for a one starred Michelin restaurant, but for their setting and price, i feel they should be able to get a second star if slightly more expensive ingredients and abit more creativity were used. Service was great and fast with many happy staff around. Toilet is clean and located in the hotel wing.

Memorable fine dining experience. Their portion is pretty sumptuous so please come prepared. The menu we had was 8 course but as a matter of fact we definitely had more than 8 course. The presentation of food is entertaining and staff do spend time and patience to explain the dishes. Some of the flavor are pretty creative (my favorite was green curry ice cream); but some of it missed, e.g. the tomato Tom yum soup is too salty to my taste. Overall it’s memorable and will come back if I have a chance to return again. Note, we made reservation 2 weeks ahead of time and need to repay for the menu option.

We visited this restaurant last month to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We tried their winter menu. We ordered wine pairing as well. The whole experience was incredible! Taste nice, great atmosphere, traditional Thai style mixed with new tools while nth feel odd. Location is easy to reach. All staff are nice with great smiles on their faces, and their English are good. It’s not expensive if comparing Michelin restaurant in my city.

One of my favorite 1 Star Michelin restaurant in this part of the world and retainee since 2018. After the borders was closed for more than 2 years, Sra Bua continued to elevate and captivate my taste buds. With great customer engagement, well curated dishes and consistency makes it an Eat-Xciting 10 course Summer Journey. Love the deco here, focus extensively on timber, pools of lotus are well maintained. It creates a relax and serene atmosphere. Reservations highly recommended.

Food and service was excellent. We did the tasting menu at lunch, with 1 set of wine pairing to share between 2 of us (suggested by the server). The food is delicious and creative. I didnt understand all the English explanation of the dishes, when the dish is served by the waiter. We were shown the menu on an iPad. Would have be more helpful if there is a menu printout.

It was a highly memorable and initimate culinary adventure through the Winter lunch course. Dining started with a refreshing welcome drink before being presented with the "street food" such as the soy meringue with yogurt wasabi that's my personal fav. After the preview, we moved on to the main stage for a deeper dive into the gastronomical sensory journey. The memorable ones to me were the Salad Hokkaido Scallop with Green Capsicum, Grilled Cucumber and Cotton Candy, the Cod Fish with Pickled Beetroot and Curry Ice Cream and definitely the dessert - Mekong’ Thai rum flambé baby pineapple with coconut and pineapple ice cream. Wished they had given more of the ice cream as it was so good. There were many wow moments with theatrics and artistics as the staff came to prepare the various courses tableside throughout. They explained the different inspirations and tastes through each amazing dish, and it took the experience to a whole new level and created a stronger sense of homage paid to traditional Thai flavours. The complexity, textures, and flavours of each dish that gently level up Thai food was a culinary masterpiece, and prepared with so much techniques and elegance. It was tasty and fun and exquisite at the same time, accompanied by a warm and friendly service. Would love to visit again to try their other seasonal menu. Sra Bua is a must for anyone who loves food and experiences.

The best set meal for vegetarian. From the time that you enter, they customize your experience and make you feel like the center of attention. Every dish is well curated and flavourful. The presentation is at a whole new level – using thai elements incorporated into the food. I have been multiple times to the restaurant and each time they have innovated many new dishes and kept the old favourites. I look forward to every visit to the restaurant because its an experience that keeps getting better. My favourites are the street snacks, the curry flavoured main, the tom yum soup that dispenses using fun science jar.

Heard quite a lot about this restaurant and I decided to go there with a few friends on 19/01. The food and entire experience didn’t disappoint. Each dish was very well crafted with a plethora of taste and ingredients involved. There was a surprise element and wow factor for nearly every dish served. The presentation was impeccable too. And yes, the price for 16 course of this quality is very reasonable too. I would definitely love to return again in my future trips to Bangkok.

I had the privilege of dining at Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin, and it was an exceptional culinary journey that exceeded all expectations. From the moment I stepped through the door, the ambiance was elegant and inviting, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The menu was a masterpiece of creativity and innovation, fusing Thai flavors with a modern twist. Each dish was a work of art, beautifully presented and bursting with exquisite flavors. The attention to detail in the preparation and presentation was truly remarkable. The service was impeccable, with a knowledgeable and attentive staff that guided us through the tasting menu, explaining each course and its unique ingredients. The wine pairings were expertly chosen, enhancing the flavors of the dishes. Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin is more than just a restaurant; it's a culinary adventure that will leave you with lasting memories. The Michelin star is well-deserved, and I can't recommend this dining experience highly enough. It's a true gem in the world of gastronomy.

Incredible food, stunning restaurant. We also really appreciated the option of alcohol pairing (instead of wine), as neither of us were in the mood for wine. Lovely idea! Service is attentive, but is nowhere near the level of European Michelin starred restaurants (things like putting plates on the table at the same time for all guests, better descriptions of the courses, or sticking to the same main server for the whole evening). These are all minor details that do not take away from the lovely food and experience. Reasonably priced in the same price-range as other Michelin starred in Europe (so a bit more expensive than most Thai starred).

every dish was amazing, starting from the appetizer, the wasabi meringue drop was such a delight, only sad because it was too small! the whole meal was an incredible experience, the atmosphere, the food, and getting to pump in the noodles in the soup with an syringe was so fun to play with. the only disappointment was the entrée, the rice and veggies were plain and the meat was just average, not really worth the michelin star in my opinion. overall it was a very nice experience and totally worth it!

Sra Bua is the famous Michelin restaurant served molecular Thai food in Bangkok. The decor can be described as traditional and elegant Thai. The current set dinner includes 8 courses and some snack and street food as appetizer. A sequence of bunch of starters and on to the couple of mains and eventually with the dessert would take you around 2.5 hours. Thus, you might consider to make the reservation time starting earlier. Each course was explained by the competent staff before we were served. The whole journey made us satisfied and be respected. The price is fair but it is really worth to try.

    1. Reservations on Chope only shows you the availability. There will be an email sent to you to confirm your reservation details and you need to pay a deposit to secure your reservation. Do look out for the email or else your reservation won’t be valid as they are fully booked usually. My deposit was 2000 Thai baht for 2 pax dinner. 2. The hotel is located at the end of Siam paragon. You just follow the signage at the first level or ask the information counter. Once you reached the kempinski hotel, the restaurant is within an aisle. 3. If you have time (at least 2.5-3 hours) and don’t mind paying more, go for the dinner experience. It is well worth for the extra 6 courses. Plus there is an additional fun element at the end of the meal which I shan’t disclose to avoid spoiling the element of surprise! 4. Come hungry because you would want to reserve the space in your stomach for all the food served at its best. They can pack if you can’t finish but it won’t be optimal. 5. The snacks are first served with a complimentary Pandan lemon grass on a sofa seat. Each item is exquisitely created with explanations on the ingredients. 6. For the starters, it’s served at the table. It gets better with each course and one is completely full by the time the main course arrives. 7. Service is excellent and hospitable. Pornpimol was our designated server and she checked in on us constantly. We received a handwritten card and a cake for a birthday celebration. They also packed the cake for us as we could not finish it. It’s a large slice chocolate truffle cake. Luscious and we had it for breakfast the next morning. 8. Highly recommended for those celebrating a special occasion. Definitely Worth the splurge! The food is of good quality - pork, duck, lobster, scallops, crab, pork, various vegetables including seasonal white asparagus and mangosteen.

After having three 1-star places in BKK, Sra Bua was definitely the best by far. The entire setting, service, food quality and creativeness, dish pacing and wine pairing were all well executed. One thing it can improve is I felt introductions of wines. Also it was a lot of whites (5) and only one red. There was nothing at the pre-appetizer stage where usually a glass of sparkling is expected. I personally didn’t like a sweet wine in the middle of the tasting. But that was really picking bones from an egg! Overall a superb experience, at a great value too (compared to the other two one star places I went to).

This is their 125 years celebration menu . I was a little disappointed for not getting the main menu or their seasonal menu. I took the 6 course special menu . The first 2 dishes was a cross recipe of New York and Thai soup and salad . Bloody Mary tomyum soup , came with a tomato ice cream ball for me to melt it into the tomyum soup. We could sip the soup and go with the crunch, this will add some texture to the soup. The Waldorf salad was replace by green mango to enhance the flavour , an amazing finishing touch with the instant dressing prepared on the spot. The sausage was average . The main course was a nice combination of tender beef cube and a crispy dried beef at the side blend beautifully with the foam potato . The dessert was too nutty . Hope to go back again for their seasonal menu.

Chef Henrik and Chayawee have always impressed me with their cuisine! I have been here quite a few times. It's always a romantic place to relax, and quiet enough to have a long conversation. So many of the dishes have a wide range of flavors, and it's amazing how they can fit this into the presentation.

All modern Thai restaurants should learn from Sra Bua. Using modern techniques to elevate the dishes but the basic flavours must be retained. Overall, I had a really good punchy meal without feeling overly full. Slight faults would be the red prawn carpaccio being not served cold enough, and the tempura lobster was overcooked. Basics that are unacceptable at this level. The non alcoholic drinks pairing was rather pricing but interesting!

Overall experience was nice and pleasant. The food was excellent ans tastefully decorated. The service was as you could expect for this level of restaurant. I took 1 star dowb because of the wibe list they had. We ordered one from Argentina and it wasn't good, no way we could have it with Thai food. Finally we talked to the sommelier and ended up ordering new wine. (we paid the bottle in full price despite not being able to drink)

Beautiful restaurant setting with an indoor pond. It is quiet and contained, to be focused on food. We toom the large set menu (16 dishes if im not mistaken), the food was immaculate although it was coming in so quickly we felt rushed so we asked to slow down. The food was beautiful and flavourful. We were impressed, I highly recommend!

The restaurant is beautifully decorated with elements that make you really relax. High ceiling, comfortable chairs… all play nicely there. Every table feels quite private due to this sense of peace and calm. The course is a pleasant journey of 16 Thai inspired dishes. The Chef has done an amazing job to recreate many Thai experiences. There are 2 that amazed me the most: tuc-tuc smoke (healthy one, of course) in one of the dishes and a fun game playing with chilis and chocolates. Staff service is the best. Everyone so knowledgeable and really making a effort to explain well things and make you feel warm there. If I had a 6th star, I would have given it to Sra Bua. A must try. A must experience.

Such a great meal we had here. Spent about 4 hours at a Michelin star restaurant. The service was very good and friendly. The food was so nice, but some dish was slightly too sweet. I really like Tom Kha Gai here. It tasted so yummy. Thumb up!

Very cool restaurant with great vibe and very entertaining dining journey through modern Thai cuisine. Plenty of amuse bouche on top of 6 course set lunch. Since there was no alcohol on offer due to COVID related restriction, we went for juice pairing, which was a very good choice (recommended too).

Experience world-class meals here. Try 8 course menu, you won't regret. Each menu comes with great presentation and of course great ingredients. Recommended.

Tried their anniversary menu and it was beautiful. Delicious and with huge portions. Too much dry ice—it got old after 3-4 dishes but taste was super on point

Everything is delicious, and I once again realized the deliciousness of Thai cuisine. The serve of the staff was also excellent. My expectation was tiny foods and probably supper after dinner. Instead, I had an amazing dining experience, best dinner in Bangkok, and was so full! I arrived early for dinner, so the staff were very attentive explaining our meal and how to eat etc. Towards the end of our meal when the other diners came in (group of 20 or more) I noticed they were understaffed, and could not be as attentive and even the serving plates were not the fancy ones we had! (It was a weekday night) So the tip here is to arrive early! I celebrated my mom’s 60th birthday here. I wish they could have been more attentive towards the end and at least wrote a happy birthday on her dessert or something. We got a very nice area to sit, it was elevated and isolated but it was kinda dark. Hard to take pictures of the beautiful food. I hope to return again and arrive even earlier!

Had their 4 course set lunch. Food and service were very good. The banana cake (which we didn’t expect much from in the beginning) was the absolutely biggest surprise and we were so impressed by it. The amuse bouche chicken satay, red curry paste (that came with the lobster salad) and peppercorn oyster sauce (that came with the beef) also require a big thumbs up. The biggest let down was the most basic component- the steamed white rice that came with the beef, just not done properly. Meal would have been perfect otherwise. Would definitely visit again.

Michaelin star restaurant in kempinski hotel near siam paragon. There's good atmosphere. But the taste depends on yourself not Michaelin guide. Food also serves with good design and take time for each menus.

Food with experience! Gastronomy food in some menu, the tase is decent, serve by serve. We choose juice paring instead of wine pairing for these course (still prefer wine pairing anyway). I have never had experience of juice paring before so it’s quite new for me, cant separate the taste of juice from last couple serves ;) No question for food, all good thumb up! Atmosphere is great, (no kid under 10 years old allowed pls check again) Good for dating, family special occasion, business dinning or anniversary!

One of the great experiences of Thai cuisine is led by the chef here in a very different way. Booking a table here is not easy because the guests are always full. The staff here are very enthusiastic and professional, providing Give customers full information. The food is delicious, presented at the table, very eye-catching and has very interesting tricks. This is a Michelin-star Thai restaurant, you can experience it offline. .

Our first Michelin star experience. Service was excellent, esp. our table attendant, Khun Bee. She paid attention in every detail and helped us every matters. This was not just a lunch, it was impressed experience. Decorations, serving shows, mood and tone of course menu, everything was the best prepared. I chose juice paring beverages, they were very freshness and good pair with each menus. Only one menu that I didn't appreciate was Foie gras and chicken heart in rice. Tell attendant before order if you don't like animal guts. Main dish, slow cooked beef was quite sweet, but beef quality was very good.

👍👍 Honestly much better than maidreamin Akihabara 本店. Other than the super long food wait time, food was good. Staff were nice and kept coming up to talk to us. Very fun vibes with the mini concerts. Very cute everything. But of course very expensive.
